As his kiss deepened and he leaned against her, she put her hands on her shoulders, needing the support. Zach always made her feel oddly light headed. Bead of swear popped out on her forehead and the back of her neck as her lust thermometer climbed higher. She hoped they be out of their clothes quickly or she’d probably be the victim of heat stroke. His tongue wove sensual circles around hers and she sighed. She felt him running his hands over the costume, and she wondered what he was looking for.

After several seconds of deep kisses and hand roaming he pulled back and said, “How do you get this damn thing off?”

“Here.” She hopped down and shimmied out of the material, tossing it into the corner of the room. “Better?”

“Much.” He lifted her back onto the exam table, standing between her parted thighs. Though she wore jeans, she could feel his thick erection pressing against her mound, making her damp, making her clit pulse.

“You’re so beautiful.” His voice was low as he unbuttoned her blouse and pulled it down her arms. “Very nice.” She watched his eyes light up as he took in her lilac lace bra. She didn’t usually wear sexy under things, but she fully intended to be ready for this occasion.

Sam let her head fall back as Zach ran a finger into the top of one bra cup, grazing her nipple, making it peak. The bra hooked in the front and he wasted no time in stripping it off her. “That’s even better,” he whispered against one breast before taking a nipple into his mouth.

Placing her palms flat on the table, Sam leaned back while he kneaded and kissed her breasts with unhurried familiarity. This was nothing like she imagined their first session of sex being like. With Zach’s hot temper she thought for sure he’d be fast and rough, which she wouldn’t have minded in the least. But this gentle, sensual side of him caused her heart to sizzle and melt.

“Lay back on the table.” He gave her a little push until she was lying flat, then he took off her tennies and socks. Next, he unzipped her jeans and pulled them off, taking her lacy panties right with them. He left her only for a second to pull over the rolling stool, then slid his arms between her thighs and up and over her hips, pulling her bottom to the edge of the exam table.

Sitting on the stool, he brought himself close, his face right between her thighs. “I’ve fantasized about doing this for days now.”

Sam moaned softly as she felt his tongue and lips on her clit. “I’ve fantasized about you doing it too, and you know something? Reality is a million times better.”

She heard him give a soft laugh before sticking his tongue inside her. “Oh!” Sam reached up, grasping the head of the table and spreading her legs wide for him. She wanted him as close as he could get, and closer still.

When she was with Justin he had never wanted to please her, saying it took her too long to reach orgasm. Yet here was a man she’d known all of a few weeks who was eager to offer her such pleasure? Either her life had truly been lacking or this man was something special. She had a feeling it was a little of both.

All thoughts soon slid from her mind and only feeling remained as he increased the pressure of his strokes. His tongue was wicked on her clit and when he started tracing circles over the sensitive nub she thought her soul would burst right through her skin. As she approached orgasm she moved her hips, showing him just how quickly she wanted him to go. Without a word he followed her lead until they were in perfect sync.

Sam looked down and watched him for a few seconds, enjoying the sight of Zach’s dark head between her legs. It was too much though and she quickly became the victim of sensory overload, teetering on the edge of sanity. When he sucked gently on her clit she lost all touch with reality and went sailing off into ecstasy. Her orgasm hit her hard and she cried out, begging him to make love to her.

As the waves of orgasm washed over her body and mind, she heard Zach slide down his zipper. Her breath caught in her lungs as she opened her eyes and saw him withdraw his dick from his dark slacks. He held his shaft in his hand and she noticed he was hard…and big.

She closed her eyes a moment and heard him fiddling around with something. When she looked at him again he made eye contact as she felt him push the tip of his erection against her then slide inside.

He groaned and said, “That feels so perfect.”

“It does,” she said breathlessly.

Zach placed her legs over his shoulders. As he moved in and out of her with smooth, measured pumps, he held her ankles and kissed her knees before running his tongue down the length of her left calf. Sam thought how this session of lovemaking was the single most erotic thing she’d ever experienced, and they weren’t even done yet.

She watched the expression on Zach’s face and saw his excitement mounting. Could feel his dick getting harder as she slid in and out of her faster and faster.

He reached down and grabbed her hips, pulling her against him each time he thrust forward. Sam enjoyed the slapping sound of her butt against his pelvis and loved the feel of it even more. Could smell the scent of their bodies as they made love. She bet they looked sexy here in the exam room and she wished she had a video camera right now.

She couldn’t help feeling greedy, wanting to see him naked, to feel his chest crushing her breasts, but she fully intended to repeat this again and again. She also hoped she’d have a chance in the future to please him just as deeply as he had pleased her.

“Here I come, baby.” Zach thrust into her with more force--one, twice, three times--and then he came. He shouted out and his body shuddered with the force of his orgasm, Sam watching on in wonder as he was so completely wrapped up in the pleasure of it.

Leaning forward, he rested his head against her stomach, his breathing ragged. Sam ran her fingers through his hair, enjoying the aftermath of their sex. She wanted to ask him when they could do it again, how he felt, tell him how he made her feel, but she didn’t want to shatter the moment, so she remained quiet.

A moment later when his breathing was more even, he stood up, rolled the condom off his shaft, and wrapped it in a tissue he pulled off the counter then tossed it in the trash.
So that’s what he had been fiddling around with.

Sam noticed that he avoided eye contact as he zipped his slacks back up and picked her clothes up off the floor and handed them to her. She didn’t want him to have regrets. She wanted him to enjoy this as much as she had. Wanted them to run with it and see where it led.

He glanced up at the clock and she tried not to feel shut out. “How about some dinner?” he asked.

She got off the exam table and slid into her panties and jeans. “Um…sure.”

“I’ll cook tonight.” He looked around the room and ultimately met her gaze. Sam thought for sure that she’d see regret or perhaps anger in those blue depths, but instead she saw what she could only interpret as fear, while his sexy lips held a small smile. This man was scared to death of any type of intimacy, so she decided to play it cool, as if having an affair was something she was familiar and comfortable with. No big deal.

“That sounds good. There’s some leftover pizza on the second shelf in the fridge.” She put her bra and blouse back on. It took awhile to get the buttons through their holes since her hands shook so badly. Too many feelings were flying around inside her like a crazy carnival ride.

She watched as his gaze slid to the area where they had just made love then back to her face. He gave a curt nod and left the room looking sort of stiff. She then heard him taking the stairs two at a time.

Sam sat on the stool and let out a huge breath. She could handle the most fearful or stubborn child, but she had no idea how to handle Zach Taylor. Then again, were kids and adults really that different? Maybe all Zach needed was patience, kindness, fun times and some TLC, just as her brother suggested. If that failed she could always appeal to his sex drive. With that last thought her heart beat triple time.

Zach sat on the bed and pulled his shoes on. Today Sam was going to teach a class on hygiene. She had asked Zach to participate but he graciously bowed out, intending to take a much needed day off and go someplace quiet. She could handle the class by herself.

Yesterday when he had told her he wasn’t looking for an affair a hundred voices in his head kicked him in the ass for saying it. What guy with even the slightest pulse would pass up an affair with a beautiful, yet zany, woman? Maybe his divorce had left him insane. Thankfully he wasn’t impotent, as their session of fandamntastic sex yesterday proved. Still, he wasn’t quite sure where to put any of this. He thought for sure he’d be able to resist her. He laughed at the absurdity of those thoughts. They were just too opposite though. How would it ever last?

When he’d met Felicia those years ago she was calm, cool, and collected. Much like himself. Sam was at the other end of the spectrum. The 60’s acid trip end of it. He felt worn out after working with her, and after having sex he damn near fell into a coma. It had taken every ounce of energy just to heat up the pizza and eat a slice before falling into bed and a deep, dreamless sleep. If he and Felicia had been so much alike and their relationship deteriorated in only six months, how long could a relationship with Sam last?

As he grabbed his keys off the dresser he found himself musing over her childhood. In that respect they had something in common. Sam never knew her biological father and Zach never knew his, though he’d had plenty of step-dads and
uncles
throughout his life. He grew up poor and strove to do well in school so he wouldn’t have to repeat the mistakes of his parents. He was in the University at sixteen and never looked back when he moved out. Sam’s childhood seemed to have been difficult as well, though you’d never know it since she was usually all sunshine and smiles.

He walked down the stairs, heading toward the door and some sanctity for a few hours. As he passed the waiting room he could hear Sam talking about the importance of covering up a cough and using a tissue rather than a finger--yours or anyone else’s--when it came to cleaning out your nose. He laughed and glanced inside the room. She was dressed like a giant square of Swiss cheese wearing a tie and brown shorts. He couldn’t figure that one out for the life of him. He then heard one of the kids ask, “Spongebob, did Patrick ever wipe boogers on you and make you sick?”
Oh, she’s a sponge?
He’d never understand this culture and felt as far removed as an alien from some distant planet.

Sam saw him and waved then blew him a kiss. Zach couldn’t help the smile on his face as he closed the door and went down the cobblestone walkway.

Once he was in his car he stared it up and turned the radio off. How he longed for some peace and quiet. Living with Sam always had his senses operating at sheer maximum. Everything about the woman was loud. From her clothing and costumes, to the food she ate and the music she listened to so early in the morning. And she never shut up. Well, not often anyway.

As he pulled out of his parking spot and drove off down the street, he wondered why she bugged him so much. Was he really that big of an ass with the personality of an undertaker? He tapped the steering wheel as he waited for the light at the four-way stop. When it was his turn to go he realized he had been pretty rough on Sam since day one, though he preferred to believe it was due to their extremely opposite personalities rather than a flaw in his character.

He had no idea where he was going. Aside from the fact that he wasn’t familiar with the area, he really had no plans for the day. He thought about going to the library, or maybe to pick up some items from the store. Instead, he turned into a parking lot and saw that it was a park. Since it was a weekend there were plenty of people out. Some families having picnics, others playing Frisbee or baseball. Many children were on the playground swinging, sliding, running, and laughing.

Come to think of it, maybe it
was
a flaw in his character. He never remembered playing with his parents at the park, or at all. Maybe that’s why he was so bitter and so damn … empty. Fighting to hold on to that armor around his heart, he drove away from the park and turned on the radio to drown out his own thoughts. He grimaced when Bob Segar’s voice came out of the speakers. In less than a month Sam had burrowed her way into his mind. He just hoped to hell that’s as far as it went.

Chapter Six

“What are you doing?” Zach leaned over Sam’s shoulder as she sat at the reception desk going over something on the computer. He tried to ignore the scent of her raspberry perfume and the fact that she wore her hair in a ponytail today. Her neck was long and she wore a V-neck T-shirt that showed off her cleavage as he glanced down. Now that they were partners they afforded themselves the luxury of taking two days off each week, though still remained open on weekends when parents had the most time off.

“Going over the books,” she said absently.

Zach looked closer. The spreadsheet program was divided into names, dates, payment paid, payment owed, service rendered, and a few others that seemed completely normal. The odd thing was, some of the payments weren’t written down in currency.

“Apple pie?” He pointed at the screen then skimmed down until he hit another odd one. “Lasagna?” He leaned against the desk and rubbed his temples. “Sam, tell me this isn’t so.”

She looked up at him, completely baffled. “Tell you what isn’t so?”
