“Tell me what?”

“They aren’t married. He signed the papers long ago but paid off the lawyer to keep the information from her.”

I gasped, clapping a hand over my mouth.

“Are you fucking kidding me? And she thought she was married to that bastard all of this time?”

“Keely?”

I jumped and spun around, almost losing my footing as Liz approached me. Putting my finger to my lips, I indicated for her to be quiet.

She frowned and stood beside me.

“Devin loves playing games with her. And Parker ended things with her thinking she was still married.”

My head reeled with the information.

“Well that’s fucking great. When do we make the drop?”

“Keely shouldn’t be here too long. We’ll zero in on her and bring her to Devin. He’ll do whatever it takes to make her use her hacking skills and then she’s all yours.”

“Perfect.”

I heard enough. I grabbed Liz’s hand and pulled her away from the door, dragging her along beside me to Parker’s office.

“Keely, what was that about? You’re married? Who’s Devin? Keely, slow down.”

I ignored Liz and pushed open the doors of Parker’s office, not caring in the least that he was now in a meeting.

His eyes widened, his back stiffening at the interruption. “Keely.” His voice was harsh, dripping venom at having been rudely taken out of his business discussion.

“Leave. Now,” I said to the men in the room, my voice firm.

They looked between Parker and I, waiting.

“Leave!” I shouted.

Parker nodded, his eyes glowing with amusement.

I waited for the men to shuffle out of the room before I turned back to Parker. I took deep cleansing breaths, trying to pull the strength from within. It was so hard to be around him with the way my body reacted. It was attuned to him. Became alive with the mere thought of him being only a couple feet away.

“Why the interruption, Keely?” Parker sat in the chair behind his desk. “Did you come back for more?”

I ignored the suggestive question and slammed the doors shut.

“Maybe I should go,” Liz suggested.

“No,” I snapped. “I need you here so he doesn’t distract me.”

She frowned and then nodded in understanding.

Parker chuckled. “Tell me, Keely. To what do I owe this pleasant visit?”

“I overheard two men talking. I think they’re the ones that have been trying to sabotage you.” I explained everything else they had said about Devin and about me.

Parker abruptly rose to his feet, pacing back and forth. “Are you sure you heard this?”

I nodded. “Yes. They also said…Parker.”

He stopped, his gaze locking with mine.

“I’m…I’m not married to Devin,” I whispered.

“Leave,” Parker told Liz and she did so quietly. When the door shut behind me, he closed the distance between us and cupped my cheek. “How do you know?”

I leaned into the warmth of his hand, memorizing his touch just for a second before I explained. “He paid off his lawyer not to tell me but I don’t have proof.”

“I’ll get proof. If it’s not the case, I’ll pay for him to sign those fucking papers.”

“I’m so sorry.” I cupped his hand.

He leaned down, brushing his mouth along mine. “I’m sorry. For how I left you. How I forced you into submission. For the elevator. For the shit I’ve said.”

I shook my head. “No. I understand. Yes, it hurt, but…I understand.”

He released me and paced back and forth, shoving his hands in his pockets. “Tell me why you’re here. Really.”

I took a breath. “Liz called me this morning and told me that you are deliberately trying to bring your own company down. You’re firing people for no reason. You’re moody. It’s all in the newspaper as well, Parker.”

He took a breath, his big body slumping. “I’m only acting this way because…” He looked at me. “I don’t have you.”

A lonely tear rolled down my cheek. “Let me help you. Let’s get these bastards and then we can go from there.”

He nodded and walked around his desk, flopping down in his chair. “You have no idea who you heard talking, do you?”

I shook my head, pulling up a chair in front of him. “The one guy was mean though. I don’t think he takes Devin’s threat seriously. Parker.” I reached for his hand. “I’m scared.”

“I’ll put every security detail on you. You’ll be safe.”

“But what if we can’t trust them? These guys knew everything. They knew that you left me because I was apparently still married to Devin. They have to be working for him. But what if they aren’t the only ones?”

“Fuck!” he shouted. Pinching the bridge of his nose, he took a couple deep cleansing breaths. “I hate not knowing who I can and can’t trust.”

I rose from my chair and walked around his desk, kneeling at his feet. “You can trust me.” I bowed my head, keeping my eyes downcast and placed my palms up on my thighs. “Sir,” I whispered.

He let out a deep breath and brushed a hand over my head before cupping my chin. “My sweet pet. After everything…”

Taking a chance, I looked up at him. “I’m sorry.”

“And I’m sorry.” He placed a soft peck on my lips.

If only I could physically pour my feelings into that kiss. I tried to. I submitted. I gave him my all. I begged for his forgiveness but I craved his touch more.

“Can…can we start over?”

He sat back, brushing his thumb along my mouth and held out his other hand. “I’m Parker Reed.”

I smiled through my tears, returning his handshake. “Keely Price.”

He rose to his feet and pulled me to my full height. “It’s nice to meet you, Miss Price.”

“It’s nice to meet you too.”

“Would you like to go out for dinner with me?”

A relief washed through me, relaxing my very being. “I would love to.”

“Are you sure you want to go to
Rope
so soon?” Parker asked me a couple of weeks later as I stood in front of my mirror.

I nodded, butterflies flying around in my belly. “I need to.” I needed to see the part of himself that he wanted to share with me but was scared to do so. He had shown me a bit but I knew he was holding back.

He came up behind me. “Why?”

We had been spending as much time as possible since getting back together. What we had wasn’t perfect but it was ours. “I want to learn everything about you. I want to share this with you. I…I need to show you that I can be what you want me to be. That I can fully submit to you. That I—”

“I don’t want you to change for me. I want you to grow. That is what my goal is and what I will help you with.” His fingers brushed over my bare shoulders, pushing the straps of my dress down my arms. The material slid down my torso, pooling at my feet, leaving me naked before him.

His breath caught, his eyes centering on my pebbled nipples. “So beautiful. Turn around.”

I did as he said and waited.

Parker pulled a black velvet bag from his pocket, pouring a gold chain with clips attached to it in his hand. “You want to submit. You want me to teach you everything there is to know about this lifestyle. You want to forget.” His gaze met mine. “You want to be mine.”

“I am yours,” I whispered.

A small smile tugged at the corners of his lips. With the back of his knuckles, he trailed them over my full breasts.

My nipples hardened to sharp peaks under his touch.

“Don’t move and I’ll reward you.” Taking my breast in his hand, he lowered his mouth to my nipple. Sucking it between his lips, he gently tugged and pulled until it swelled to the point of painful. “This will sting.”

I nodded, my body heating under his gentle caress. He grabbed the chain, opening the gold clasp and attached it to my nipple. I hissed, the sharp pain sending a jolt straight to my clit.

“Breathe, pet.” He repeated his movements with my other nipple, this time the pain sending a delicious wave of pleasure over me. “Don’t move,” he said, kneeling before me.

My eyes widened when he took the long end of the chain between his fingers.

“Spread your legs.” He pushed my knees apart and blew warm air across my mound.

A purr escaped my lips and I whimpered when he pushed his finger through my soaked folds.

“I think you like the clamps, angel.” Taking my clit between his fingers, he pinched and rubbed, torturing me until I was writhing against his hand. “Don’t move and I’ll let you come.”

I bit my bottom lip and held still.

He peeked his tongue out, licking it in a smooth move over the aching nub. He took a third clamp, pinching my clit between the rubber prongs.

Tears formed in my eyes and I whimpered but I wouldn’t move.

“Good girl,” Parker said, rising to his full height. He took my hand, leading me to my bed and sat in front of me.

My body tingled with each step, the clamps biting into my sensitive skin. But the more I moved, the more delicious it felt.

Undoing his belt, he pulled out his thick length. “Turn around. I want you to look in the mirror and watch as I fuck you.”

Facing the mirror, I waited.

He gripped my hips, lowering me onto him.

I shivered, watching in the reflection. I moaned as my body slid down his thick cock.

Once he was seated deep inside of me, his fingers dug into my waist lifting me up and down his rigid length. “Fuck me hard and watch your beautiful body give me pleasure.”

I couldn’t take my eyes away from our reflection in the mirror. My breasts bounced, my blond curls brushing my shoulders with each movement. The gold chain of the nipple and clit clamps criss-crossed over my torso, giving my pale skin a sparkly glow.

“Harder,” he growled. He bit his teeth into my shoulder, his gaze locking with mine.

His tattoos contrasted against my ink-free skin. He was the darkness to my light. The eye to my storm.

“Faster.”

I whimpered at the rough demand and gripped Parker’s thighs, riding him with all of my strength. His cock swelled inside of me, pounding into me with a fervor I was desperate for. “Yes. Oh God, Parker,” I cried out.

Parker’s hands brushed over my torso, squeezing my nipples between his fingers.

An unexpected release slammed into me and I threw my head back and screamed.

“Keep coming until I tell you to stop.” He spread my thighs with rough hands and slammed his cock into me hard. I moaned, the pain and pleasure mixing as one in a sweet divine cocktail of ecstasy. Spots danced in my vision, my body relaxed and elated, and all I could do was let Parker have his use of my body.

Pulling forth the need for release, he held me tight against him, when he spilled his seed deep into my body.

I had never felt him come so hard. Burst after burst shuddered through him as his cock spurt its warmth into my body.

Falling back against him, I jumped and then sighed when he flicked a finger over my clit.

“Come for me, pet,” he whispered in my ear, wrapping an arm around my waist.

I came hard, whimpering his name and reveling in the feel of him still inside me. My mind reeled; my body felt like it was floating.

Parker pushed me to my feet, kissed my tail bone and righted his pants before standing up behind me. “How do you feel?”

“Relaxed,” I said, wavering on my feet.

He grinned, tugging at the chain between my breasts.

I gasped at the slight pain, my clit tingling with the response.

“I love watching you hit subspace. By the end of the night, you’ll be flying so high, it’ll be a challenge for me to bring you down.”

“Is that good?”

He winked and kissed my mouth. “I love a challenge. But, Keely? I expect to be flying right along with you.”

“Now, there are a couple of rules I need to tell you before we head in,” Parker said, kissing the back of my knuckles.

“Okay.” Nervous butterflies flew in my belly but I knew that us going to
Rope
was needed. We needed a distraction from the shit with Devin, from Parker’s company, from life itself. Now that we were back together, we needed more time as one. We just needed to forget. If only for a moment.

“I want you by my side at all times unless I say different. If you misbehave…” he winked. “I could have you on display. Maybe on a table, the bar…spread open for everyone’s viewing.”
