When Tony and Peach
stepped aside to reveal their special guest, Sarah’s jaw dropped. “Miri?!” she exclaimed.

Miri
rushed forward and pulled Sarah into a hug. The two women embraced and laughed through happy tears.

After a few minutes,
Miri pulled back and held Sarah at arm’s length. “Wow, Sarah, you look absolutely amazing.”

“Thank you.
Oh, so do you, Miri. It’s so good to see you.”

“I told you I’d make
a trip up to Red Valley. Were you surprised?”

“Oh, yes
,” she cried.

S
arah owed so much to the woman standing in front of her, she could hardly talk past the lump in her throat. She took a deep breath and cleared her throat. “I’m so glad you’re here because I have a surprise for all of you, too.” Sarah reached for Nathan’s hand and held it tightly in her own.

All eyes were on her.

She thrust out her left hand and wiggled her ring finger. “Nathan and I are getting married!” The engagement ring sparkled and everyone surrounded her oohing and aahing.

Nathan snaked his arm around her waist and pulled her close. She looked up at him and was greeted by gray eyes full of hope, promise and, most of all, love.

Sarah’s someday had arrived.
