[She fades away as three ragged actors, two men and
one woman, enter as if on a turntable. Very intense, very
miserable, they sing. ]

LES MIZACTORS

[The turntable jerks to a stop, spilling them every which
way.]

MOST MISERABLE ACTOR

FORBIDDEN FANTINE

ALL

[One of the male actors is carried away by the turntable;
female is carried upright. The other male actor, COLM
WILKINSON, manages to stay at the microphone. He
sings. ]

COLM WILKINSON

[Dubbed by female offstage. ]

[COLM spins oR female spins to mike and emotionally
prepares herself as she becomes FANTINE. She sings
very dramatically.]

FORBIDDEN FANTINE

[FANTINE rotates offstage as ENJOLRAS and ETIENNE
rotate on. They take a few moments to steady themselves
and regain their equilibrium. I
