Last, our tremendous thanks to the many women who thoughtfully answered our questions about their embarrassing, hilarious, scary, curious, confusing, frustrating, and gleeful experiences with menstruation and menopause.

About the Authors

ELISSA STEIN is a published author whose work includes visual histories of iconic pop culture, New York City adventures with kids, and interactive thank-you notes. In addition to writing, she runs her own graphic design business. To balance the above, she practices yoga, knits with enthusiasm, and collects vintage coats. She lives in New York City with her husband, Jon, and their children, Izzy and Jack.

As a playwright, SUSAN KIM wrote the stage adaptation of The Joy Luck Club (Dramatists Play Service) and numerous one-acts, which have been produced widely. She is a Writers Guild award-winning TV writer in documentary and children’s programming, and has been nominated five times for the Emmy. With her boyfriend, novelist and playwright Laurence Klavan, she wrote two graphic novels, Circle of Spies and The Fielding Course (First Second Books). She teaches dramatic writing in the MFA program of Goddard College and lives in New York City with Klavan.
