Her cry added a level of heat that travelled all the way to his toes. He tunnelled into her all the way to the root and he held himself there for a split second before he withdrew and pumped into her repeatedly. Her soft cries grew wilder with each stroke.

He watched her pant into the cushioned armrest, and with a moan, she rubbed her slim fingers along the fabric and arched her back like a cat. He knew what those warm hands could do to his flesh, had felt them knead his muscles until he’d been helpless to everything she wanted.

Every inch of her was exquisite punch of sexiness. The contrast of her dark silky stockings to her creamy skin drove him nuts. The way she watched him when he made love to her drove him nuts.
Everything
about her drove him nuts. He’d gladly stay that way for an eternity, too.

He spread his hands wide and gripped each cheek firmly. They filled his palms with the sweetest weight. She pushed back into him and he ran a hand up, then back along her slender spine to the heart-shaped curves of her perfect ass. “I love your ass, baby.”

She sucked in a ragged breath and moaned softly when he slipped his fingers under the garters. He forced his muscles to tighten and leant back, watching his rock-hard erection almost slip free from her before he pumped into her again, starting a pace he could handle. The little bows quivered when he bounced her with his hips, but he breathed slowly, pacing himself to give her everything he could.

Joey was so limber she could arch her upper body and practically touch her head to her ass when she wanted. He urged her to lift her head and do just that, so he could circle her throat and guide her lips to his. She whimpered against his mouth, but flooded his erection with such wet heat, he knew she loved it. When he couldn’t take the tight pressure a second more, he shifted his legs farther apart to begin pumping into her with slower firmer lunges, knowing exactly how to drive her to orgasm.

“Oh, Jaxon!” The sound of her passionate cry thrilled him. She was close to coming apart already. He gave her a harder thrust and his sack smacked into her wet flesh. They both groaned.

“Ah, baby, that’s my girl. You’re dripping wet for me.” Slowly, he released his dominant hold on her neck and turned her head so he could kiss the delicate skin behind her ear.

“Jaxon, please, oh, babe, I can’t, I want—”

“Mmm, yeah, you want,” he teased, and rammed in harder on his next thrust. She wailed in response and her body began to tremble against his.

His neck grew hot, then chilled as sweat beaded along every inch of his body.

“Slow, slow, baby. Just this once, slow,” he urged her, pulling his hips back to gently enter her again, driving his entire length past her resisting body. His girth spread her like this, and as he watched, turned him on to the point of suffering. Her pussy spread to accept him. He sank deeper and held himself there, breathing shallowly to gain every bit of control he could.

Joey’s eyes glazed with pleasure. She licked her lips and met his look with a deep, intense passion he knew they shared. “Oh, Jaxon, it’s so good. So good,” she whispered, kneading the chair.

“Not good enough for you. Let me give you more.” He took hold of her garter belt and began rocking her body back into his. Their bodies slapped together rhythmically, and he growled at how her ass bounced each time his hips slapped into it.

“Goddamn, hot, so hot, I’m fucking dying here,” he growled. She was so tight and wet around him, with each firm contact of flesh against flesh he grew closer to losing his control. He lifted his leg so he could rest a foot next to her, and began jerking her hips back with his grip on her garter belt a bit harder. His sack started hitting her flesh and the added sensation was too much.

“Oh, oh, Jaxon, there, there!”

He dug in his toes and gave her more, steadying his breathing and holding off his own impending orgasm with sheer determination. She sobbed in a breath and as he watched, she opened her mouth on a silent scream and arched her delicate neck, tossing her curls over her face as her body cinched around his so tightly he had to gasp lungfuls of air just to keep his head on straight and not blow on the spot.

“Beautiful, so beautiful,” he murmured into her neck, keeping his cock tight inside her pussy the way she loved. Her trembles grew until with a cry of his name, she shoved backwards into him in the grip of a harder climax.

That was all he could take. He bent and bit her shoulder to add her flavour to the sensations pulsing through him. Stars blinked behind his closed eyes and his body jerked uncontrollably with the sudden, harsh blast of his orgasm.

“Jaxon, oh, yes, yes!”

He gathered her closer, but couldn’t do more than that. He couldn’t even breathe past the pleasure trapping his body. Every nerve ending was alive. His balls filled his shaft with seed, and with a suddenness that jerked his head back, his cum flooded her body in rough, agonisingly pleasurable spurts.

Joey stretched tired, wonderfully tender muscles and eased closer to Jaxon on the couch. He chuckled and rubbed his hand over her back, trailing his fingers along her spine, so relaxed he couldn’t do much more. Not that she could either.

“I think you might have worn me out,” she said, caressing his warm chest.

He , brushed a kiss over her hair. “Yes, I think I finally have.”

He sounded so proud, she smiled.

“Did you eat enough? You barely touched your pasta,” he said, preparing to move and get her something, she knew.

She settled him with a hand on his chest and shook her head. “I ate more than you.”

“Oh, I doubt that,” he whispered huskily against her throat. A shiver raced down very much loved areas of her body. The fire crackled, sending sparks out in a pretty display, and the low flames grew larger. Against her thigh, something else grew larger too.

“Stop that!”

Jaxon laughed so hard he nearly knocked them both onto the floor. She smiled, watching the way the fire made his dark hair shine and his handsome face soften with shadows. She loved him so much, she found herself often caught up in just watching him.

With one deeper chuckle, he bent his head and kissed her shoulder, brushing his lips along her skin with a heavy sigh. “It’s hard to resist. I’ve just nearly passed out from the things you do to me, and still, I can’t seem to get close enough to you.”

Warmth flooded her chest at his words. She nodded, understanding completely what he meant. The same love tingled through her. He eased his head back on the burgundy-coloured pillow and watched her face. She loved the way the fire reflected in his eyes, making them appear to glow from within. His hair fell over his brow and she pushed it back with a smile. “Will it always be this way?” she asked, curious if this closeness would last their lifetimes. However long those might be, she suddenly thought.

“A man can dream,” he muttered, but grinned when she cuffed him in the stomach. “What?”

“Well, how about ‘a couple’ could dream?”

He laughed harder at that then proved how manly he was by tackling her down and tickling her on the soft throw rug. She ended up under him, with him grinning at her. “You really are chauvinistic, aren’t you?” she asked as he settled on top of her.

“Damn right, you’re just realising that?” he demanded, kissing her before she could say a word. “And you’re one, hot, sexy babe meant to drive me insane with your damn flirty eyes and soft, sexy body, mmm?”

She wiggled under him until she found a more comfortable spot, and traced the lines of muscle on his shoulders down to his arms. He had such lovely arms. Big, hard and so amazingly strong. “Oh, my flirty eyes?”

“And sexy panties. Damn, I love those sexy panties,” he breathed against her neck, making her shiver all over. “All those pretty little things you wear to drive me insane.”

She giggled so badly he picked her up and carried her to the couch again, kissing her while he tucked her against his body. “Laugh it up.”

“Oh, Jaxon, I love you. I think we were meant for each other, don’t you?” She turned so she could snuggle against his chest and still watch his face. He pulled a light throw over them and tucked it around her shoulders with a gentleness that made her love for this man fill her nearly to bursting.

“Absolutely.” He stared at her face, then with a tender expression, kissed her nose. “You most assuredly were meant for me, firecracker. Now, rest a bit then I’ll give you another go, huh?”

“Mmm, that sounds wonderful,” she whispered, tucking her leg between his warmer ones and easing her hand over where his heart beat steadily.

They settled on the couch, enjoying each other and exploring the newer, deeper bond. Jaxon held nothing back, letting her in as deep as she wanted to go. In turn, she relaxed under his light, but curious exploration of her mind.

Almost asleep in his arms, she jumped when another spark popped loudly from the fire. “It’s so pretty here, Jaxon. I love this place.”

“Do you?” Jaxon asked, sounding curious.

“I do, it’s wonderful, so ancient-looking but modern. Has it always been yours?” she asked, tipping her head to smile at him.

He nodded, but his expression was far off. Through their link, she knew he was only half-awake, and the knowledge made her happy for some reason.

“Yes, it’s always been mine. Since I first took off on my own, I suppose.” He trailed off and his soft, warm caresses along her arm slowed until she thought he’d actually dozed off. A moment later though he said, “It was ancient even then, and with time, I’ve managed to work on it, updating things, but keeping the soul of the place.”

“Yes, the soul of the place. That’s what it feels like, here, as if…well, as if it’s a part of you.”

“That’s because it is. Did you notice that when you left that night, that you ended up in London?”

Ended up
in London?”

He lifted his upper body and anchored his head on his palm, looking at her curiously. “Did you think we were in London?”

“Well, I kinda thought…” she paused and thought about what he was saying. “Well, I was in London. I mean, I had to go out the gate, then turn and walk a bit, but London…” She covered her mouth in surprise. “But there was no sound of traffic, then…”

“Then there was,” he said for her. “What? London?”

“But…you mean we’re not in London?” Jaxon grinned and tapped her nose with his finger. “How is that possible?” she asked.

“I did a favour for the Scarlet Coven a long time ago,” he said with a shrug. “They paid me with a spell. The spell hides my home, but it also makes anyone coming here disorientated when they leave, and always leads them back to London. If you’d turned around, you would have found the same gate, and the ruined grounds, but inside not the same house.”

She took that in and shook her head. “Amazing. So all this time, vampires, witches, all these immortals have been side-by-side with people.”

He snorted. “We are people, wildcat.”

She gave him the look that deserved, and his grin grew wicked. She knew a second before he landed a heavy hand on her butt he was going to do it. She still jumped.

“Brat, mmm…harder,” she purred, running her nails down his muscled shoulder.

He grimaced and buried his head in her bosom. “Shit, baby, you’re too much.”

“Mmm, I thought you said I was just right?” she asked, hugging his head.

“Joey—”

“Shh, and tell me more about this—how immortals lived so close, yet were never discovered. I mean, come on, that sounds…impossible, right?” She tugged his hair to get his attention, and reluctantly he lifted his head. He looked flushed and the stiff hardness of his cock swelled against her stomach, tempting her when she knew better. “Oh, no, not yet, wild man.”

He tossed his hair off his face and sighed like she’d ruined his night, then flashed his cocky smile. “Fine, but you’re duly warned.”

“Yes, sir,” she teased, earning another light tap to her butt. She batted her eyes and he flashed his fangs at her in mock warning. She laughed hard enough to make him pin her against him. He was so strong, she couldn’t stop. “Okay, okay, I’m trying here. Stop making me laugh!”

“Impossible wench,” he growled, which only made her giggles worse. “Now why is that funny?”

“Wench? Who says that?”

He snorted mentally, which was even more hilarious, but she controlled her mirth and pressed kisses to his face and sexy chest until he stopped making fun of her. “Now, tell me about the immortal world.”

He sighed as if she’d asked the impossible, but grinned and started. “Not all witches are immortal, but yes, magical folk have learned to blend in, adapt at blending in—” His phone ringing cut into their conversation, and he grimaced at the side table where they’d dropped it hours before. “And use technology.”

“Yes, and that.” She grinned at his frown. “We don’t need phones, you know. Maybe we should throw them out.”

He looked so stunned and hopeful she hated to tell him she was teasing. But with a sigh, he shook his head. “We can’t do that, darlin’, they need us.”

“Us? Mmm, I don’t know that I’ve done much.”

“What?” he demanded. “You’ve kicked ass. And the more of my blood you take, the stronger you’ll become. You’re already stronger. Can you sense your power?”

She considered his words carefully. She did feel stronger, but—

No buts, you have done more than most ancients, and you’re not even a year into your immortality. Trust me, okay?”

“Trust you? I trust you.”

“In this.”

“You’re tricky.”

“I’m not tricky, I simply love you, Joey.”

“Oh, Jaxon,” she breathed, and gasped when he bent and captured her lips in an erotic, heartfelt kiss. The phone ruined it though, and even Jaxon grumbled but released her mouth.

“This had better be—”

“Jaxon, if you don’t answer that phone…”

He kissed her once more, sat up, easily holding her with one arm, and grabbed the phone to settle back down with her on his lap. He pulled the cover around them and circled her with his arms. They both looked at the caller ID to see Hunter’s name on the screen. “Hunter.”

“Can’t be good news, can it?” she asked.
