Pedro’s mistake was in claiming that Tim’s uncle said that he had “counted the money again that afternoon,” and that “his share wasn’t half the million pesos.”
Remember, the stolen money was in the form of one million one-peso bills.
Tim’s uncle could not have counted half a million bills, his share, in one afternoon.
It would have taken him five days—counting day and night!
