the
other

the

paced
the living

about
the
future.
Pad

stopped
what
she

doing
for
a

and glared
at

You’re
driving

y

You haven’t
had
a
peaceful

o
m

she
scolded.

continued

pace
with
his
tail
thu

ing
the
floor
as
he
went.

settled

her
stitching

the

closed
the
front
door
behind

She

front
steps

drifted
to
her
nose—roses,
lilacs,
and
lilies. Paddy
took
a
deep breath and
closed
her

heard

overhead,
and
waved

at
the
gargo

had ordered
to
follow
her
ever

she
was
properly
protected.

going.

y through the crowd, stopping

talk
to
eve

Mrs. Pearson,

ho
had the best
vegetables

treat
to
visit
with.
