“I don’t have to think about it,” she responds. “I’ll take the position.”

Javan smiles immediately. “Really?” he exhales, walking towards her.

“On one condition,” she begins, moving closer to him. 

He smirks, “You and your conditions. What’s that?” He pushes the stray strand of hair from her face behind her ear.

“That you call me Tia.” She smiles. Javan leans down and kisses her softly on the lips. His mouth feeling just like she remembers. Tia’s arms wrap around him and he places his hands on the small of her back. She absorbs his touch, as Javan places his hand against her cheek.

They release their mouths, and Tia peers up into his eyes. The bluish grey swirls staring back at her. Out of all the obstacles this past week, her biggest one was avoiding falling for Javan Leporem. Unlike the others, it was something she did not over come.

Tia leaves the office and enters the streets of Elatus. Her heart is doing jumping jacks, her knees weak. There is a smile on her face that could not be removed. She breathes in the city air. Even though it is not the same fresh, clean air that she is familiar with in Urbi, Tia finds comfort, once more, in the scent of summer.
