Review Me Please!

Reviews are the life-blood of an independent author. If you got this far, I have to assume that you enjoyed my tale to some degree. Either that or you are oddly dedicated to finishing things, however objectionable.

That being said, did you know that less that 1% of readers ever take the time to give the author a good review? And so I am going to be annoying and push for the plug. PLEASE if you have five minutes and you liked the story, let other readers know.

You can leave me a review on Amazon.com, Goodreads.com, B&N.com, Shelfari.com, and Smashwords.com. In most cases you just find the Eden’s Root page and find the link to provide a review. Instructions for Amazon’s review process are below.

Leaving an Amazon Review – How To

Haven’t done it before? It’s easy. You do need to have an Amazon account, but you just create a login and then you are all set. The next step is to search Amazon using the title, Eden’s Root to go to my page. Scroll down to REVIEWS and leave me one please! Honesty is ok, how else will the author improve?

Acknowledgements

It is very difficult to properly rein in my acknowledgements if I am honest about the many influences that led to the creation of this sweeping story.

I would like to thank the doctors at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center who saved my life at thirty-two years old. Dr. Carol Aghajanian, my brilliant oncologist and Dr. Nadeem Abu-Rustum, my incredibly talented and kind surgeon, as well as all of the other members of their team that cheered me on every step of the way. Without them, this story would never have been created. I also would like to thank Patsy from the bottom of my heart. She was my rock through that period and no amount of gratitude can every truly repay her.

I would also like to acknowledge all the people who gave feedback or helped me to learn more about my own story.

I would like to thank my father Joe for his expertise with HAM Radio information and my uncle Joe for his help with knowledge of weaponry as well as the colorful description of what hollow point bullets do to their victims.

I would like to thank the Heirloom and Heritage communities for preserving our genetic heritage and protecting our food supply.

These are the simplest acknowledgements. The others could go on and on. The friends who encouraged me, the people I’ve met along the way, the crazy amalgam of information that is one’s childhood, influences, education, and experience.

This story was a great experiment for me. It seemed to come from nowhere, and then it pulled thousands of tiny unrelated pieces of me together. No matter the eventual outcome of having written this story, it has been an adventure and I’d like to acknowledge anyone else who has ever tried to tell an entertaining tale.

About the Author

I am a wife and entrepreneur living and working in Florida. Though I grew up in the northeast, I can’t give up the sunshine and beaches. My work is fictional and would be classified as science-fiction because it is rooted in science...but it is not the typical with robots, space travel, or aliens. This particular story is focused on realistic worst-case scenarios because those are what I find most intriguing right now.

Favorite pasttimes...mostly outdoorsy things, and overuse of ellipsis.
