His lips pursed. “Are you saying you do not find me appealing?”

“No, of course I do, but—”

“Do you not want me to touch you?”

“I’d rather not answer that. Actually, this whole conversation is awkward.”

Xarn shrugged and leaned to whisper something into his buddy’s ear. Brax’s eyes slid her way and she ducked her head. No idea what was going on, but more confused than ever. She thought by sleeping with Xarn, she’d put to rest once and for all her difficulty in deciding which alien she liked best. She’d really enjoyed herself with Xarn. Really, really enjoyed herself and couldn’t wait to do it again. But…

Seeing Brax, she discovered she still wanted to see what making love with him would feel like. And she’d wager she’d like it just as much.

I am the biggest slut on this planet.
And worse, instead of helping her they were implying she could have them both. Which was crazy. What guy wanted to share his girl; best friend, sword brother or not. It just didn’t happen.

Sigh. Perhaps she needed to stop thinking about it because instead of achieving clarity of mind she was getting more and more confused, oh, and horny again dammit!

Then reality smacked her and all urge to screw went straight out of her head. “My girls? Shit. I can’t believe I forgot about them. Did you find them? Any traces?”
I’m probably going to hell for having sex and the time of my life while my poor girls are probably scared, hungry and god knows what else.

Brax shook his head in answer to her query. “The trail I followed showed no signs of them coming to harm. And if the empty wrappers are any indication, they’ve been eating from their supplies. The darkness made me lose their tracks though which is why I returned. We will resume the search in the morning. I’ve left markings to make our trek quicker.”

“But…” She sank bank down on the bed under the lean to, feeling like she should do something, anything to help them.

Xarn knelt beside her. “We can do nothing for them tonight. They’re smart females. They will make camp like we have and we’ll catch up to them in the morning.”

Not trusting herself to speak, because she’d probably start crying louder than the universe’s biggest baby, she just nodded. Xarn leaned in and kissed her softly, before getting up to approach his brother. She lay back down on the platform and wiggled under the blanket letting the murmur of male voices lull her to sleep, but they didn’t chase away the nightmare of her girls getting eaten by giant hairy creatures with great big teeth.

“I thought you were supposed to broach the whole sharing idea with her,” Brax whispered.

“I did, and she didn’t take me seriously. Then I kind of got distracted.”

“Lucky you. But what about lucky me? I only agreed to this because we were going to take turns. If I’d known you didn’t mean it, I wouldn’t have left you alone and I would have wooed her until she chose me as mate.” He’d seen the look in her eyes when he’d walked into camp; guilt, shame, confusion. Brax wasn’t an idiot. Louisa thought sex with Xarn meant she’d made her choice. Not frukxing likely.

“Don’t get your dick in a knot. I meant what I said. We will share, but while you and I have come to terms with it, she might be having a few doubts.”

“So how do we cure them?”

“In the morning, I will leave under the guise of scouting ahead. You use that time to seduce her. Once we’ve both had a turn, she’ll hopefully grasp that we are in agreement with it, and we can go on from there alternating.”

“I don’t know. Won’t she catch on that we’re manipulating her?”

“Trust me. This will work, and even if she does know we planned it, once she’s had a taste of both of us, she’ll surely forgive.”

Somehow he doubted it would be that easy. But he couldn’t deny he still wanted her. As he placed himself on one side of her in the makeshift bed while Xarn took the other, he just hoped that their subterfuge in getting her to mate with them wouldn’t be the thing that took her away.

Chapter Twelve

Kisses woke her, soft nibbles against the back of her neck that had her moaning and squirming against the hard body behind her. A hand made its way up her loose shirt, cupping her breast, stroking the erect tip with a calloused finger. She wiggled her bottom against the hard cock pressing against her ass, all ready and wet for Xarn. But, were they alone? She didn’t want to rub Brax’s face in her new relationship with his best friend.

“Where’s your other purple half?” she whispered.

“Gone ahead to scout,” was the muffled reply as he spoke around a mouthful of her skin.

He sucked on her nape, his hand travelling down her body to delve between her thighs. She lifted her leg, moving it back so it draped over his leg. A shift of position and his cock bounced free from its wedged spot to rest under her pussy.

A lazy finger circled around her clit and she panted with need. He took his time though, dipping his digit, long, slow thrusts followed by a rub of her clit.

She moaned. “Stop teasing me.” She reached down to grab his shaft, finding him even thicker than she recalled. She guided him into her sex as he continued to tease her, rubbing her nubbin, making her sex clench with need. Her pussy, hungry for his cock, sheathed him and he growled, low and sexy in her ear. A new sound that she found she liked.

He thrust into her, from behind, his body plastered to her length, spooning her skin to skin. She grinded back, driving him deep, her climax hovering so close, especially with the way he kept stroking her clit. He nipped her shoulder, the sharp bite of pain making her exclaim and arch, her whole body tightening. With a grunt, and a further clamping of his teeth that almost broke skin, his hips pistoned forward one last time before he came in hot, pulsing spurts that triggered her own orgasm.

She cried out as she came, her body undulating with waves of pleasure. He held her snug against him, pressing soft kisses against her neck, shoulder, ear, his breathing just as erratic as her own.

“That exceeded my imagination,” he murmured in a soft tone.

She froze. “Brax?”

“Of course. You expected someone else?”

Um, yeah, she did. She pushed away from him and scrambled to her knees. He lay on his side, his head propped on one hand, returning her stare.

“You’re not Xarn. Oh shit. I thought you were Xarn.”

“Xarn has gone ahead scouting like I mentioned earlier and will return in a short while.”

“Oh no. This wasn’t supposed to happen,” she exclaimed. “He’s going to kill me. And you. Oh crap.”

“Why would he do that?”

“Because we had sex you idiot,” she yelled. “He’s going to be mad.”

“Why, when this is what we agreed to. It was my turn.”

“Excuse me?”

He fidgeted, losing his soft smile. “I thought he broached the subject of sharing you while I was gone the previous eve.”

“He mentioned it in passing. I thought he was joking. I’m not a whore. I don’t sleep with multiple men at a time, especially not best friends.”

“You are not a whore.”

“Really? Then what do you call a woman who sleeps with two guys?”

“Ours.”

The word sent a tingle through her, but wasn’t strong enough to dispel her shock factor, or anger. “But you didn’t even ask me. This is not my type of thing.”

“I don’t understand.” He knelt on the bed, his eyes clouded with confusion, and hurt. “You enjoy my touch. You care for me. Or am I mistaken?”

“You know I like it. And I like you. But that doesn’t mean you and your buddy can just decide to share me. What happened to asking?”

“We did and you said you could not decide.”

“So you decided for me. How nice. So how did you pick who went first? Toss a coin, roll some dice?”

“I’d rather not say,” he mumbled, his gaze dropping.

“Oh my fucking god. I was joking. You mean you guys wagered on who would get to fuck me first?”

She scrambled from the makeshift tent in time to see Xarn step from the edge of the shadowy forest into the clearing.

“You?” she yelled. “You knew he was going to do this?”

A puzzled look creased his face. “Do what?”

“Have sex with me.”

“It was his turn.”

She lost it. Scooping low, she picked up a rock and threw it. Her aim sucked and Xarn didn’t even have to move for it to miss.

“You jerk. I thought when we had sex together last night it meant we were exclusive.”

“I never said that. And I did ask if you found us both attractive and if we could share.”

“I thought you were kidding.”

“I do not understand your reference. Nor do I grasp your anger. You said you could not choose. So, we solved the problem and took away the need for choice.”

“Let me get this straight; because I wouldn’t choose, you guys connived to both sleep with me?”

Their sheepish faces were answer enough.

“Seriously? What is wrong with the two of you? Did you ever stop to think how fucking confusing this is for me, caring for two freaking idiots, agonizing I might be hurting each of you because I couldn’t help but let you seduce me? It tore me apart wondering if this would wreck your relationship. And all along, the two of you were scheming to fuck me. Well, are you happy? You did. And now you can kiss this pussy goodbye.”

“Why are you so angry that we came to an agreement to share you? Shouldn’t the fact that we care about your emotions enough to not force you to choose count for something?”

“How is forcing me into a threesome caring for me?”

“Because.”

“Because? That’s your brilliant answer?” A painful ache gripped her heart. Foolish her, despite their plot to both seduce her, she kind of hoped their cahoots meant they both loved her and would rather share than not be able to be with her. But apparently, one of her previous musings was more accurate. They were horny and she was the only convenient female. They didn’t love her—
which sucks, because despite how stupid it makes me, I’ve fallen for them.

However, loving them didn’t mean she was willing to compromise her pride.

Before she could tell them where they could shove their cocks from now on, a spear landed in the ground between her feet. Eyes wide, she stared at the quivering length of it, only half noticing as Brax and Xarn took up defensive postures around her.

“Why did the alarm not sound?” Brax snarled.

“I disabled it on my way in,” Xarn replied. “I hoped to sneak up on you and watch. However, someone was done too quickly.”

Louisa bit her tongue lest she comment that quick didn’t mean it wasn’t good.

“It was but a precursor to the main event. Why did you return so promptly? I was much more generous with you the previous eve,” he growled as his eyes scanned the jungle, his hands yanking up his trousers and fastening them. It reminded Louisa to finish doing up her buttons lest she be naked in the upcoming fight.

“I thought I found something,” Xarn replied, his gaze equally attentive.

“I’d say it’s found us.” She swallowed hard as a big hulking shape emerged into the clearing. Tall, its features almost birdlike with stubby wings sprouting from its back and one pendulous breast, Louisa had never seen anything so freaky in her life, especially once she realized the eyes regarded them with derision, a fact reinforced by the snorted, “Not you idiots again.”

Brax waved at the looming Zonian, glad he’d held his fire. It wouldn’t do to anger the fierce female tribe. They’d barely escaped the last time they went to the Zonian planet looking for adventure. Aylia got them out and just in time too. Mating with a Zonian female was never healthy, for other species at any rate.

Brax smiled a tad too brightly. “Hello, Pak. Nice to see you again. I don’t suppose Aylia is with you?”

“No, but I did find something else of yours you seem to have lost.”

From the jungle all around them poured screaming demons, their faces painted with red lines and swirls, brandishing spears. Xarn groaned, while Brax held up a sagging Louisa who looked quite faint upon seeing all her charges safe.

Katrina came to a skidding stop right before them, and grinned. “Hey guys. Isn’t this place the coolest?”

“What the hell happened to you?” Louisa exclaimed. “I thought you were dead, or injured.”

Betty strode up to them, her hair in pigtails, face painted in wide stripes, a dimple in her cheek. “Oh please, like this compares to the neighborhood we grew up in. Do you know how many times I had to sleep in the park because my step-dad was drinking?”

“My neighbor’s pit-bulls were more vicious than the critters we ran across,” Josie added.

“You know what they say, the city’s a jungle which means we were right at home, right girls?” Smiles and nods all around greeted Anne’s statement.

“But…” Louisa seemed at a loss for words as she looked around at her charges, who’d done a better job of survival than even Brax would have credited.

“How did you meet Pak?” he asked to give her time to recover her tongue.

Jasmine giggled. “It was actually kind of funny. We caught her making out with some dude. The look on her face…It was almost as good as the one on his when he took off running in the woods.”

Pak cleared her throat. “I was on a mating quest and was somewhat distracted when the females came across me.”

Brax wisely held his tongue instead of commenting. Given Pak’s evident embarrassment, bodily harm could occur if he said the wrong thing.

“Thank you for aiding the halflings,” Xarn said. “Our female was most distressed at their loss.”

“Aid them? These warriors required no help from me. Once they found me, they took me to their camp. They’d already established shelter, foraged for food, and set a sentry to keep watch. Not bad for foundlings who’ve never been on a training run before.”

“Warriors?” Louisa straightened. “I’m sorry, these are my students. And we weren’t on a training thing or whatever else you mean. We crashed here. And as soon as help arrives we’ll be on our way.”

The violent, freckled Clarabelle smiled and tilted her chin with a stubbornness he’d gotten to know. “We already have a place to go. Pak over here says we can go home with her and learn how to become real Amazons.”
