When she squatted down to open herself further to the jetting stream of water he couldn’t help unzipping his trousers, either that or he was going to mess his underwear like a callow youth. She bit her lip as she started to vibrate the shower head against her folding.

His jealously for the piece of plumbing at that moment was intense. His balls were pulled up hard and tight and his dick ached as he continued to stroke himself in the rhythm she was using. As he watched her shiver the showerhead faster, her face grew tense, determined to find her pleasure. God, he wished he knew whether she was thinking about him or not.

What would she do if he just appeared in the bathroom, climbed into the shower and gave her something real to play with instead of a fantasy? But he was too far along himself to contemplate moving.

The sight of her touching herself, squeezing her breast almost painfully made pre-cum leak from him, and he pumped faster, uncaring that he was jerking off, something he hadn’t done in over a decade.

There were always women available to him, heck most of the maids were lining up to service him. However but this simple, secret view was affecting him like few real life encounters had ever done. His movements became as quick and fierce as hers.

He ached to be inside her as she moaned in frustration, clearly unable to tip herself over the edge. He was so hard he had to bite his lip to keep from crying out and worrying the staff. His cock throbbed with a burning heat as streams of hot seed shot over his thigh.

Holy crap, she’s sexy, he thought as he breathed heavily in reaction when it finally ended. Not since he’d been an adolescent, had he lost control like that.

His determination to persuade her to his family’s cause increased, having her willing sharing his life would be so much better than forcing her against her will.

As he watched, she pulled herself to her feet clearly frustrated and turn off the shower. His earlier misgivings about her mixed heritage seemed particularly stupid. There was no doubt he wanted her more than any woman he’d ever encountered. The fact that she couldn’t please herself, just added to the appeal, the challenge of it. The fact that she didn’t have an ‘acceptable’ Kalzirian pedigree, or even a fully human one, didn’t matter to him anymore.

He smiled to himself as her legs appeared to be a little wobbly, although his were due to satisfaction, rather than frustration. How they would both feel when they came together, he didn’t know, if doing it in different rooms caused that reaction. He was quite glad his will was up to date.

As she wrapped herself in a towel, he could see she was barely awake. He made a note to tell chef not to bother with food. From the information they’d obtained at great cost, Chesara had a habit of sleeping for unusually long periods of time when she was overstretched.

The slight frown on her face told him that she wasn’t overly impressed with her accommodation. When she fingered the lace on the pink flowery pillow he had his answer. Chesara wasn’t a ‘girly’ girl, then again he’d already had his suspicions, particularly due to her ability to swear like a wagon train guard.

She paused as she realized her ruined clothes had been removed, and several changes of clothes were laid out on the flowery bedspread. He could almost hear her thought processes. She was worried someone might have heard her pleasuring herself, but the servant who had delivered the newly made clothing wouldn’t have ‘heard’ anything. It wasn’t wise to notice anything a Lord and Lady did.

Tenset tried to be friendly to his staff. He considered that they were all working together for the same goal, to keep the estate going. When he’d been a child, he’d been friends with many of the people that worked on the estate, but as he’d grown, they’d become more distant, or maybe he had.

After moving the clothes, Chesara sank down onto the bed and she was deeply asleep in minutes. Once he was sure she was asleep, he went to get washed and changed. When he was done, he checked the screen again. The temptation to go into her room while she was barely covered was significant. But if he did that, he wouldn’t be able to stop himself tracing those marking, and that would lead to something he was no longer sure he wanted to, because it would hurt her in the long run.

What power did this female have over him? Yes, he’d been a little uneasy, make that very uneasy about this plan, but it was a perfect solution to the planet’s problems, and he prided himself on carrying on his parents’ legacy to work for the good of the Kalzirian people as a whole. Now he was contemplating throwing in the towel to save the feeling of someone he’d just met, someone who wasn’t even fully human.

He needed to catch up with his uncle and the other part of the plan before he went any further. At this point, he could probably persuade everyone his actions were perfectly innocent, but if Tamas had done anything except keep Chesara’s bodyguard occupied, they were fully committed already. He knew that if he backed out, Tamas would find someone else to ‘deal’ with Chesara. It didn’t bear thinking about.

He just hoped Tamas hadn’t done anything permanent to Connor. She was very fond of him, and the prospect of seeing her hurting caused his belly to churn.

CHAPTER 14

C
hesara jerked awake, not sure what had woken her, or how long she’d slept. A look out the window showed it was lighter than when she’d gone to sleep. It was either early morning, or late afternoon. The way she slept, it could be either.

One thing was sure, she was bloody hungry.

Crap, I bet he’s waiting for me, she thought, and then decided that maybe making the arrogant git wait for a while, well at least all night, possibly as much as a whole day, wasn’t all bad. She turned to the outfits laid out on the bed. Luckily she hadn’t rumpled anything while she slept. Looking at the clothes, whatever she wore she would probably be overdressed for lunch, but not for dinner.

The classic long white dress was stunning, and she quickly put it on, and twirled around watching the skirt flare up. It certainly looked dramatic against her golden skin. This’d give that smooth ‘ladies’ man something to think about. Then another, significantly less naughty idea occurred to her.

They were going to be eating, whether it was lunch or dinner, and after the incident with the red berry pastry at the embassy, the damage she could do to such a pristine garment was a horrifying prospect. Reluctantly she looked at the other offerings, a black pair of trousers, a long deep green skirt, an unadorned white shirt, and a sleeveless bodice that matched the skirt.

She went with the green combination, and although she’d have been more comfortable in the trousers and shirt, no bra had been provided, although the white lace knickers were cute. It was highly likely that the white shirt would go see through if she spilt liquid on it, and the odds of that happening was? Yep, not a smart idea. Another factor in her choice was the tall, deep green boots resting against the end of the bed, together with two pairs of delicately heeled shoes one black, one white. It’d take a lot to get her back in stupid girly shoes anytime soon.

She briefly pondered where the clothing had come from. Why did a ‘bachelor’ have clothing in her size on hand? She hoped the clothing had been borrowed from a servant, rather than him having a closet with a whole selection of random sized clothing for any stray, dishevelled, females he might pick up.

As she regarded herself in the ornate long mirror opposite the bed, a soft knock came at the door, and she called out for whomever it was to come in. Chesara smiled as Tenset walked in, wearing black pants and a blue shirt.

“Lunch or dinner?” she asked.

“Dinner. You’ve slept the day away,” he said with a smile.

“Is Connor here?”

He didn’t look happy about the question. “Why would he be?”

Her hand went to her hip. “Erm... because he’s a worry wart and I’ve been out of his sight for over a day?”

“He knows where you are, he’s still negotiating with my uncle. You know how those political conversations go.” He didn’t look comfortable.

“And he’s happy to leave me in your clutches?”

That made an offended expression appear on his face.

“I can assure you, I’m a perfect gentleman Madam Envoy.”

“I’m the head of the Federation Council, now feed me before I faint.”

Immediately, he stepped forward, concern etched on his face.

“You feel faint?”

She put the back of her hand to her forehead and pretended to stagger a little, before dropping the act.

“Are Kalzirians always this gullible?” She giggled as he blinked at her briefly before he frowned.

“It’s a good job I’m a good host, as I’m going to feed you rather than spank your backside for being rude. It’s how we deal with bolshie women here,” he said with a completely straight face.

It was her turn not to know what to say, so she went for a much safer one than his hand making hard contact with her bare backside.

“Do you know where I can find a hairbrush?”

Her apprehension rose as he strode quickly across the room to her. Was that a ‘I’m going to spank you,’ or an I’m going to kiss you,’ expression? She decided she’d try and persuade him that the kiss option was the preferable one, so she closed her eyes and tilted her face up as he grasped her shoulders.

Instead of kissing her, he leaned her to one side and opened the top drawer of the waist high cabinet behind her, and extracted a hairbrush.

“Oh, thanks,” she murmured. Blushing furiously she grabbed the brush and then looked up to see a huge grin and brightly twinkling eyes.

“Son of a Kackbad, you really are a,” she growled, and this time he did lean in and kiss her. Although whether it was to stop her revving up into any more interesting expletives rather than because he really wanted to, she didn’t know. She decided she liked it whatever his motivation.

The kiss started slow but soon developed more passion as her mouth opened and welcomed his tongue inside. Chesara broke the kiss before she gave into the growing desire to unbutton his shirt and explore that magnificent chest with her tongue. She was dying to find out if his skin tasted as appetizing as it smelled, masculine with a hint of spice.

She was pleased to see he was also a little breathless, seems she could affect him as much as he affected her. Maybe it was time to take charge of the situation; this Casanova was obviously used to getting his own way with women far too often.

“If you don’t mind waiting, I’ll be with you in a moment,” she dismissed him with a smile before turning back to the mirror. He looked decidedly uncomfortable as he perched on the edge of the frilly bed.

She tackled her hair, in long, slow sweeps from root to tips, bending over to give herself room to complete each stroke without the brush hitting her clothing. Intentionally, she made sure that her butt was pointed in his direction, making it wiggle a little as she brushed. After a few minutes, she threw her head back, pushing the now silky smooth strands away from her face. A quick glance in the mirror before she turned around, confirmed that his eyes were glued to her rear end.

“So, what do you do for food around here?” she asked just a little too loudly, making it his turn to jump and look a little flustered.

“Chef has prepared a feast for us,” he replied after a short pause, and the ‘suave charmer’ reappeared before her eyes.

The ‘real’ Tenset was hidden underneath this flattering, flirting exterior, although she’d seen one or two glimpses of the man behind the mask. She hoped she’d get to see a little more of his personality before she had to leave, but even if she didn’t, she had a feeling that this man would remain on her mind for a very long time.

“Shall we go, my Lady?”

His smile was like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day, and she wondered if it was genuine, or just another practiced part of his charming ‘act’. Letting him know that being treated as if she was special, and not just because of her talent had her going weak at the knees, that’d be points for him. This probing for ‘real’ feelings was as exhausting as a diplomatic negotiation. She didn’t understand it. Why couldn’t people just be honest about their feelings instead of all this pussy footing around?

Smiling, she took his arm.

“Of course my Lord, lead the way.”

As they made their way down the first part of the staircase, Tenset informed her, with a smile, that the master bedroom was the first on the left, and indicated the other branch of the staircase.

“I’ll certainly let the master know when I see him.” The brief, dumbfounded look on his face had her laughing out loud.

CHAPTER 15

C
hesara had surprised him yet again. She was so different from Kalzirian women. Female aristocrats played political games just as much as the men and women of the lower classes were always looking to improve their positon. Whatever their station in life, he’d always been a ‘Lord’ to them, rather than Tenset the man.

Whatever her origin, Chesara was a breath of fresh air. There was no pretence with her, she said what she thought and felt, rather than what she wanted him to hear. There was also an innocence about her that he found incredibly appealing. It was as if she’d never had to face the kind of interpersonal dances that he’d learnt almost before he could walk.

Her naivety, although attractive, also made her the fly to his spider, which was making him increasingly uncomfortable. While she’d slept the rest of the night and most of the day away, Tamas had sealed her fate by kidnapping her bodyguard, and ‘disappearing’ the shuttle crew. The choice had been taken from both of them, and they were committed to the parts they had to play in the future of his people, whether she wanted to, or not. His role would now be to make this as painless for her as possible, which involved getting her to fall for him as quickly as possible.

His lips curled into a smile at Chesara’s stunned expression as he led her into the dining hall. She could play ‘worldly wise’ all she liked, but seeing her mouth drop open at the opulent green and gold themed room was priceless.

The room was easily as big as the one at the main palace. Huge floor to ceiling windows covered one wall, each surrounded by exquisite deep green velvet curtains with gold ties. The other walls were covered in bright tapestries and paintings depicting battle scenes and portraits of his long dead relatives. Personally, he’d rather eat elsewhere, but Tamas wanted her ‘impressed’ with the lifestyle they led. Privately, Tenset didn’t think frills and ostentation would make this particular female heart flutter, but from the look on her face, maybe he’d been wrong.
