Hayley blushes and laughs. “I don’t think any fan boys will be after me if we have our three little hellions in tow.”
“Two of them decided to play make up party with the baby again,” I say with a laugh.
Hayley grabs her purse and yells down the hallway. “Lucy! Betty! Helena! Let’s go!”
She grins at me and pulls me close to her. “You, mister, better be ready for me later tonight.”
“Maybe I’ll put a fourth baby in you,” I whisper so only she can hear. Then I kiss her passionately.
I hear footsteps and a group “Ewww!” from our girls.
I pull away from Hayley and proceed to tickle the two oldest until they giggle. “Let’s go, girls. We’re taking the Tube today.”
“I want to put the ticket in!” Lucy yells.
“I want to buy the tickets!” Hayley calls.
Betty has no idea what’s happening but she babbles anyway.
“Everyone gets to do their normal tasks,” I say.
I’m halfway out the door after them when I realize that Hayley isn’t right behind us. I spin around and see she’s crying in the doorway. I grab her hands. “What is it, Hayley?”
She sniffles. “I’m just so happy. I have everything I could have ever wanted in my entire life. It’s all right here in front of me. I don’t want this to end.”
I kiss her, running my hands through her hair and up to her scalp. “This won’t ever end, Hayley. Every day is just a new beginning for all of us. It’ll always be just like this.”
“Promise me?” Hayley asks.
“I promise,” I reply.
We walk hand in hand, chasing after our girls through the streets of London.
I know only one thing for sure.
I’m one lucky bastard.
Hayley’s not the only one who has everything she ever wanted.
I’m right there with her.
