It started as a chapter back in 2007 at my first-ever Romance Writers of America conference. It was Friday night, I was still unpublished, and my roommates were at the Harlequin party. But inspiration struck, and I wrote the first thirty pages or so that evening. Then I tucked it away and wrote twenty books for Harlequin.
