“That
was the day I truly fell in love with you.”

“The day
we got picked up by the police for trespassing?” I ask, shocked because I
remember he looked like he was going to throw up.

“I
was terrified your dad was going to kill me.” He stops and looks at me with a
huge grin on his face and then shakes his head. “And I figured if your dad didn’t
kill me, mine fucking would.”

Both
of us are smiling now. It’s one of those moments you never forget as kid,
especially when your boyfriend’s dad is the chief of police.

“You
stole that bottle of whiskey from the pub and I took my dad’s cigarettes. What
the hell were we thinking?” I whisper.

“I
don’t know, but when my dad showed up and told his deputy to let us go, I knew
we were in for it.”

“But
he just drove me home and the next day, you said he was cool about it,” I say,
finishing the rest.

The
wind picks up and I shiver, running my hands down my arms and slipping on a sweater
I brought with me.

“He
was, but he said something to me that I never forgot.” Beck pauses and takes my
hand again, weaving his fingers with mine and placing a kiss on each one of my
knuckles.

“What
did he tell you?” I ask, intrigued.

“He
said, ‘I heard your girl asked my deputy if he had a light for her cigarette.
Pretty ballsy of her.’ I remember apologizing immediately, but thinking the
same fucking thing. You did have balls back then and you still do.”

“Oh
god, I was drunk. That was such a bad idea,” I say, mortified by my behavior.

“No,
it wasn’t, baby,” he says, his tone sweet. “It’s part of the reason we’re sitting
on this boat in this very spot.”

I
give him a curious look and his eyes twinkle brightly in the dark night, but
still give nothing away.

“What’s
going on, Beck?” I ask, this time more demanding, but he ignores me and
continues with his story.

“Then
Pop said something that shocked me. He told me to marry you.”

In
that second, before my brain even has time to realize what he’s about to do,
Beck is on his knee in front of me, taking my hand in his as his eyes bore into
mine.

“And
I knew he was right. He told me my life would never have a dull moment with a
girl like you in it.” He takes a deep breath and pulls out a ring. “Kelsey
Walters, will you marry me?”

My
eyes haven’t left his face, not even when I catch a fleeting glimpse of him
reach into his pocket or when I see the diamond sparkle out of the corner of my
eye.

My
response is instantaneous. “Yes,” I say, throwing my arms around his neck,
tears of joy streaming down my face as I hold on so tightly that I swear he can’t
breathe.

He’s
laughing, his face buried in my neck, tickling me and making me squirm in his
arms.

“I
love you, baby,” he says and I finally pull away from him.

Slipping
the ring on my finger, I look down and I’m blown away by what he’s graced me
with.

An
antique platinum ring, with a gorgeous, large center stone with filigree and
small diamonds wrapping around the entire band.

“Beck,
it’s beautiful,” I stutter out, marveling at its beauty.

“It
was my mom’s,” he says, and I begin to sob. Knowing how much his mom meant to
him, this is truly an honor. “I would’ve loved to ask your dad for his
permission and by bringing you here, I felt like maybe I did.”

I’m
sobbing so hard at this point I can’t form a coherent thought. Beck just takes
me in his arms, whispering, “I love you,” over and over.

We
aren’t perfect, far from it; but in this moment our life is perfection, and I
wouldn’t change it for anything.

A
sneak peek of Erin and Ryan’s story…

The
second book in The Rockport Beach Series:

Finding Home
with You

Prologue

Five months ago – Rockport

Erin

"You're
a prick," I spit out.

"Shut
up," he says as he roughly forces my mouth to his. His fingers tangle in
my hair, a mass of knots and sweat.

Shoving
his leg between mine, I grind against him and he smiles.

"Fucking
desperate much," he jokes and I pull away from him, putting some distance
between us. He's disgusting, a total bastard.
What am I doing?

"You're
about to fuck me," he says with a smug grin on his face.

"Shit,
did I just say that out loud?"

"No,
but that look in your eyes did."

Ugh,
the fact that he can read my expression should have me running for the hills,
but my body feels like it has turned to liquid. I stand silent for too long and
he steps closer, his hand connecting with my hip and the warmth of it burning
into my overly sensitive skin. I should push his hand away, walk out of the
room, smack him across the face, but my damn body has different plans.

My
nipples harden into painful peaks longing to be sucked into his beautiful,
filthy mouth. At just the thought, a thrill shoots through my body and straight
to my center. My already drenched pussy clenches in response as Ryan slides his
hand up my thigh, dipping his fingers into the side of my panties. My head
falls back as my eyes close, longing for him to make me come.

“Fuck,”
he groans as he slips two fingers inside me.

“You
like that?” I ask my tone condescending.

His
breathing intensifies, but his face remains impassive and he says nothing.
Pressing his thumb to my clit as his fingers begin fucking me, hard and fast
and again my stupid body betrays me, moaning and grinding against his hand in
sheer desperation.

“Answer
me,” I demand more out of distraction than anything. I can’t find him
attractive; this is what gets me into trouble every time. Hot guy, amazing in
the sack, but a complete fucking dick. I have to pull it together.

“Turn
around,” he growls.

“No.”

“Fuck,
can’t you just do as you’re told?”

I
hear the frustration in his voice and it makes me laugh. At least I’m not the
only one who’s feeling this way. I despise him with everything in me, but fuck,
if this isn’t incredibly hot.

Ryan
yanks his fingers from my pussy and shoves them into my mouth. I suck hard on
them and his eyes widen. By the look on his face, I imagine he’s thinking about
what it would be like to have my mouth on his cock. Sucking him off until he
comes, hot and wet in my mouth.

“Stop
being so bossy or I’m not going to suck you off,” I retort back just as domineering.
The desire in his eyes turns to shock and I wink at him. My eyes never leaving
his, I wet my lips and rub my hand over the hard bulge in his pants.

“Get
on your knees,” he says.

“Say
please,” I respond, running my tongue across my bottom lip and he growls out
loud. Grabbing my arm, he turns me around, forcing me up against the wall. His
body is pinned against my back and his hands are locked down on my wrists.

“Not
a chance in hell I’m giving you that,” he says as he backs away. Lifting my
skirt, his hand connects with my ass and I gasp out loud.
Why is this such a turn on? What is wrong with me?

I
don’t have time to think because in that second he rips my panties and slaps my
ass again, warmth spreading between my legs.

“Then
give us what we both want,” I say completely composed. I’m even surprised at my
impressive false bravado, because inside my body is a hot mess. I don’t know
how much longer I can keep up this charade so I snap, “Shut up and fuck me.”

The
next thing I know, Ryan is ramming his cock straight into my aching pussy and
I’m coming hard and fast.

“Tell
me how much you love my cock,” he hisses as he grips my hair, pulling my head
back, his teeth and lips grazing my neck, causing goose bumps to rise up on my
skin.

“Fuck
you,” I say and he bites down on my shoulder and my pussy clenches around him,
sending him into an orgasm that makes him call out my name.

Satisfied
by my name on his lips and the incredible orgasm this man has just given me, I
slip out from under his arms. Adjusting my skirt back into place, I walk to the
door.

Ryan
follows me; he grabs my wrist, turning me towards him, his mouth connects with
mine in a kiss that is far too soft and sweet, something about it seems almost
caring and it makes me gasp. I nearly lose it, but I pull it together quickly.

I
run my lips along his neck until I reach his ear, whispering, “Thanks for that.
It was amazing, but I hope I don’t get pregnant. You just came inside me.”

I
walk out of the room leaving Ryan stunned and speechless.

Chapter One

Present Day – Boston

Ryan

“Shit,”
I grunt out, collapsing back on my bed after coming all over my hand. “Fucking
hell, Erin,” I say out loud, the empty room swallowing my words.

I
can’t believe I’m still thinking about this woman. I haven’t seen since I went
up to visit Beck and Kelsey before Thanksgiving. Nothing had changed between
us. We still fought like crazy and fucked like crazy. This woman is probably
the single most infuriating woman on the planet, but no matter how nuts she
drives me, I just can’t stay away from her.

And
this morning, I’ve just jacked off while thinking about her…again.

“Jesus
christ, Ryan, get a fucking grip,” I say dragging myself out of bed and into
the shower. After I wash and shave, I get out and dry off before pulling on a
clean white shirt and black suit, ready for work. As I’m standing in the
kitchen drinking a cup of coffee, leaning against the counter, my cell phone
rings. Glancing at it, I smile when I see Kelsey’s name light up the screen.

“Hey,
how’s my future wife doing, still hanging around with that dickhead?” I ask as
I answer it.

Kelsey
laughs down the phone. “Sticking with him I’m afraid, he makes it worth my
while.”

“You
bet your ass I do,” I hear Beck say in the background.

I
can’t help but laugh, glad these two sorted their shit out after all the years
they spent apart. I’d never met Kelsey until she went and got herself a
stalker, forcing Beck to head back to the town he grew up in and help his
brother catch him. It also forced Beck to acknowledge that he really did love
this woman and couldn’t, like he’d been bullshitting both himself and the rest
of the world, in fact live with out her.

“So,
anyway,” Kelsey says again. “The reason I’m calling is to let you know the boy
is turning the big three-zero this weekend and I thought we’d have a party to
celebrate, wanted to know if you could come up?”

I
glance at my watch, knowing I need to get moving. “This Saturday?” I ask her,
throwing back the rest of my coffee as pick up my keys and head for the door.

“Yep,
Saturday. Although I’m sure Erin would appreciate it if you came up Friday
after work,” Kelsey adds and I can tell she’s smiling.

“Of
course she fucking would,” I say, laughing as I close the door behind me. “She
fucking loves me and my big co…”

“Yep,
okay, don’t need to know that much detail, Ryan,” Kelsey says, cutting me off.

I
smile, knowing she’s cool with my dirty talk. And besides, I’ve heard her and
Erin talk and they are far worse. There’s just something about two women
discussing sex when they don’t know you’re listening, or even when they do,
it’s both scary and a huge fucking turn-on.
