My soul wants him in wicked ways. By the time his hands touch me again they almost sting as the energy passes between us. They slowly slide up my legs, not squeezing, just enjoying the contact as his thumbs dip slightly between my thighs.

“Just trust me and keep your eyes closed,” he repeats as his hands begin to separate my legs.

Moments later I feel a blast of his hot breath between my legs, followed by the welcome wetness of his tongue dipping between my folds and sampling my taste. He moans his enjoyment and runs his tongue to my clit. It stiffens instantly and throngs of pleasure slice through my entire body. The muscles in my legs react with convulsions and quivering that I cannot help. His fingers slide around each side of his mouth and gently open me wider, pulling my clit from its hood. The heat of his tongue envelopes my warrior parts, sucking me.

In an effort to control my hips, I grab onto the sheets. Justin’s mouth vanishes for a moment. “No,” he says evenly. “Let your body go, let me take you. Feel the weight of your body pressing into the bed and use that to hold yourself still.”

As he’s ordered me to do, I obey, releasing the sheets and calming myself. His breath blows across my soaked folds again only a second before his tongue returns to my begging hardness. My fingers ache to clutch the sheets but I keep them still. As I feel my nipples tingle for attention and my hips demand to thrust, I do what Justin said and picture my body sinking into the mattress. I imagine it folding around me and somehow I find the strength to remain still.

Justin keeps my clit prisoner in his mouth, sucking and licking me relentlessly as the spears of excitement pierce around my insides. I may have settled my body, but my voice is another thing. My rapid breathing is broken with loud moans and shrieks of joy and my lungs are on fire trying to keep up. I’m dizzy from the entire thing and, even with my eyes closed, I feel the room spinning.

Warmth from his hands sinks into my vulva and I am in awe of the strength of his tongue. It strokes me up and down and never tires, never misses its mark. All of the sexual energy in my body begins to funnel downward to meet his mouth as if he can suck the orgasm out of me.

Then I explode. A charge ignites between my legs and I’m emptying into his mouth. I know what is expected of me; I shouldn’t move until he tells me, and he doesn’t tell me anything.

My climax bursts in wave after thrilling wave and I don’t allow myself to grab the bed or fuck my hips against his face the way my body believes it should. I’m still and shouting my ecstasy into the spinning room that I can’t even see.

Justin does not slow down to ride my orgasm out as I expected. He beats his tongue against me and when the waves of pleasure feel like they will settle, the spasms he makes within me kick off even more gushing and screaming.

I’m not sure I can keep myself from moving. I push myself deeper into my mind, into the bed to hold myself. “Christ, Justin! Christ! I’m cumming!”

He knows exactly what my body is doing. Justin wants me to have this, to lay perfectly still and be nothing but the moment, nothing but pleasure. I give myself to him—I trust him completely.

He brings my body through the surging tide. My throat cannot shout anymore, my voice is gone. My heart is a massive throb in my chest that might seize at any moment. I’m afraid to keep going, unsure if my body can take it, but the point is to trust Justin to know what I need and know what I can handle even when I don’t.

My orgasm reaches its height and I feel ready to pass out completely, unable to continue, and finally I pass the summit, spouting cum into his mouth. As the convulsions begin to soften I feel Justin’s tongue begin to slow. I’m reduced to a twitching, spent mass of pleasured flesh. His mouth slides away from my deflating clit, his warm hands moving down my legs the way they had come up at the beginning.

Justin hasn’t yet said to open my eyes. He wants me to lay here and enjoy the afterglow. At first I don’t realize how relaxed I am, how calm, but once my heart regains a normal rhythm and my lungs stop burning, there is nothing but peace. All of my worry has drifted away. As he promised, I listened to him, did what he said, and he made me better. That is all I need to do, stay close to him and follow his lead.

The bed moves under his shifting weight and his hardness finds my thigh. By now I’m sure he is overflowing with passion and excitement, and I want to release that for him, bring him to the same place he’s brought me. With my eyes now open I take his manhood in my hand and squeeze it. The joy rises up through his chest and throat and races from his mouth in a soulful growl.

“I want the same from you.” I tell him. “Close your eyes and trust me now, trust that I will take care of you.”

He listens without resisting. Those beautiful green eyes close and his body relaxes. I let my hands cover his genitals and slowly stroke him while some of my fingers tickle his balls. He’s so engorged but he keeps himself restrained like a pro, even when I inch my body down the bed and press the tip of his cock against my lips. I rub it gently across my cheek to tease him, but I’m teasing myself nearly as much. I want to make him feel the way I do right now, so spent and happy.

It’s not long before I can’t wait any longer and slide him into my mouth. His desperate gasp thrills me. I use my hands in time with my mouth, stroking him into me while sucking him. He doesn’t grab at the sheets or buck his hips toward my face, showing incredible restraint. It doesn’t take him very long, not at the level of lust that we’ve built. His growls and moans grow louder and louder, inspiring my hands to jerk him faster and my lips to suck harder.

When his orgasm finally hits its powerful. His body arches completely off the bed and its damn hard keeping myself balanced on top of him and his cock in my lips, but I manage it. He releases in a flood that I swallow in gulps timed with the motion of my hands until he settles back to the bed.

He collapses by my side and I move myself up against him, getting as close to his soul as I can. I still believe he has a plan that he hasn’t told me, something that will keep Marker away from us forever. The wheels are spinning in his mind and I can almost see the gears grinding by looking deep into his eyes.

Maybe he’s not planning to keep Marker away; maybe he’s found a way to draw him out further—enough that we can kill him.

SENATOR LEWIS IS STILL
nervous whenever Justin is in the room with him. We were due for another big meeting with the group and all the usual people are here. Austin Hill, with his very attractive face, sits closest to the Senator the way Justin likes him to do, giving the senator a feeling of protection and assurance. Cattie is beside him, dropping all of her numbers for us to hear. This is the one meeting Senator Lewis sits in where “the numbers” doesn’t refer to approval ratings; in here, the numbers are how much the Senator is spending on his gambling habit. It’s how well he is controlling himself—how well we are controlling him.

After more than seven months, Senator Lewis has been impressive. Every month he has been safely below his limit and not a single one of his other accounts has been touched. Apparently he knows how to not fuck up a good thing.

Franco has backed off at Justin’s order, sitting in the back near John Roberts. The first time, Justin wanted Franco up close, almost in Lewis’ face for scare factor; now that Lewis is a Senator and following their rules, backing Franco off lets Lewis know there’s nothing to fear as long as he stays on point. No one stands near Justin. He walked in late intentionally, wanting to be noticed, and crossed through everyone, cutting the group almost in half, and they divided like the red sea. They know how dangerous Justin is right now. Word had spread through the group about Marker. Even Franco, as big as he is, leaned away in fear when Justin was near him. Their eyes shift to him in quick furtive little bursts, never staying or lingering too long. Everyone wants him there, without him they would be facing Marker on their own, and that they can’t do, but the anger that wafts around him terrifies the room.

Arthur Shea sits on John Roberts’ right side, opposite Franco. No one speaks to him either. Some members of the group are not ready to trust him, not after the past. This is the first meeting since the merger, the first time he’s seen the rest of them in person. If he’s nervous, it doesn’t show.

Lena and I watch from the office as always; taking in every detail. Before leaving, Justin had kissed me passionately and told me this would be one of the last times we were apart. He took Garrett and Malcolm for security. Marker was watching, he is sure of it.

I’ve been white-knuckled since that kiss. A whisper in my head keeps telling me it was our last, that we should not have separated. If Marker is watching as closely as we believe, then this is the opportune moment for him.

Once Cattie is finished with her part, John Roberts invites Shea to speak to the group. He lays out the assets he’s using to propel Senator Lewis to the forefront of the current political arena. It goes well beyond Vice President Shuster, even further than I had realized myself. Shea has been working to solidify his reach into the media, and now it is complete. Every major avenue, television, magazine, everything is going to have support for Senator Lewis. Next month Lewis will be a guest on the two top late night shows. Following that he will be on the cover of
Harper’s
and then
The Nation
.

“Within the next six months, Senator, I’m going to make you America’s political sweetheart. There’s going to be more buzz than you can fathom, so you had better be ready,” Shea tells him directly.

There’s a wide smile on the Senator’s face, and on most of the people in the room. No matter how they feel about Shea, this is incredible news.

“I’m going to make America love you, son,” Shea continues.

Several people in the room begin to clap. “I’m ready,” Lewis says proudly. “I’m ready, my family is ready,” he glances around at the happy faces, “and my team is ready.”

They are all applauding, some more enthusiastically than others, except for Justin. His sexy, but hard, eyes are searching everyone, watching reactions, evaluating the smallest details. I don’t know if this is a Marker thing or just for the task at hand, making Lewis the President.

“Lewis will be President in two years,” Lena says without any sign of doubt. “These people—together—are unbeatable. Lewis has what it takes in a candidate. John Roberts and Arthur Shea have the money and the pull independently, but together they are the biggest power out there. We just need to keep them from consuming themselves before Lewis is elected.”

I understand that completely. These guys were enemies just a few months ago; being partners is not going to be easy. Egos and pride are going to get in the way; it’s only a matter of when. Honestly, it’s not for me to give a shit about. Once this Marker thing is over, we’re out, Justin and I, and Lena as well.

“How is Terrence?” I ask.

Her face still lights up the same way mine does when I think about Justin. “He’s great,” she says with a smile, a dirty, wicked one. “It’s better than I thought it would be, than it could be,” she gushes.

I’m so happy for her that my stomach flutters.

“I’ve never wanted this,” she gestures her hand to mean everything we do, “to be over so badly. I wanted out, for Justin and myself, but now I can taste it it’s so close. I can feel in my insides. I don’t want to lie to Terrence anymore. I want a regular job where I don’t have to look over my shoulder every moment of the day, and no one has to look over their shoulder at me.”

There’s a dark gloom settling on her face, a miserable guilt.

“I don’t want to be the ice princess everyone thinks I am—not anymore,” she says with her softening eyes on the screens watching Justin’s meeting.

Right now all I see is the woman Terrence looks at every night they are together. Despite her deadliness, Lena is gentle and more wounded than anyone knows. Terrence loves this side of her, and so do I. I know Justin is familiar with Lena this way as well. He knew her when she was a kid, before the layers of bad covered her like a filth.

“I’m glad we’re getting out before this turns you into a monster like me,” she says.

I want to smack her. “You’re no monster, Lena. You’re an amazing woman that I look up to and I’m glad to have as a friend that I love.”

The black skin of her pretty face blushes and there’s a hint of a smile at the corners of her mouth. “That’s one of the things I love about you. You’re so open and honest. I want to be like that,” she tells me. “I want to be more like you.”

I’m so flattered. I’ve been trying to be more like her.

One of the men in the group, I didn’t see who it was, suddenly blurted out, “What are we doing about Shea’s dog, Brian Marker?”

Waves of surprise and anger blow across Shea’s face. Even John Roberts is agitated by it, but Justin doesn’t flinch or even as much as blink.

Shea knows enough to keep his mouth shut right now. This is the time to show restraint and trust in those that have allowed him in. He lets his eyes move to John Roberts and John’s expression tells him not to worry, that he will handle it.

“Brian Marker is a problem, but he’s a problem we are talking care of,” John Roberts says comfortingly.

“How?” Austin Hill asks. “I trust you guys, I really do, but I’d be lying if I didn’t tell you that I’m freaked the fuck out by this whole thing.”
