“You are really playing
with fire, Clarissa!  I am trying to slow down…”

“I don’t want you to
slow down … not yet!  Please Ray … take me … take me now!”

Her urgency and
passionate plea broke the last of the feeble control he still had over his body
and he surged forward thrusting into her with hard deep thrusts, over and over,
but it was not enough.  He pushed up and sat back with his legs bend. He pulled
Clarissa up and unto his lap.  “It’s not enough…I need more…I need … to be
deeper…”  He pulled her onto his shaft, hooked his arm under her one knee,
lifting it high, opening her wide. Clarissa gasped when he went deeper than
ever before and immediately started rocking in her, pulling her hips down hard
to meet his. She held on to his shoulders, threw her head back and pushed down
as hard as she could, feeling him so deep in her body she swore he kissed her
heart with his shaft!

Her passionate moans
and Raymond’s labored breaths sang in tune with the chirping of the paradise
birds around them.  Raymond found her clit with his thumb urgently stroking and
Clarissa’s moans intensified. She rocked harder and faster urging him on.
“More … more!”  He felt as if he was on the verge of a volcano that has been
building to erupt for thousands of years.  Their combined urgency pushed them
to the edge. Clarissa’s body tightened like a string on a bow and with her
climax she pushed her hips down hard and felt the pleasure pain in her groin
when her climax exploded, nearly drowning her.  She arched back, her breath
caught in her throat as she tightened around Raymond, milking him until he
erupted inside her spurting his warm seed with such force she felt another
climax hit her the minute the first one subsided. Raymond felt her tightening
muscles and growled, thrusting hard and deep until he felt the last of the
ripples around him subside.

Raymond fell on his
back with Clarissa sprawled over him.  She felt totally limp and sated, but
still struggled to get her breath back.  Raymond’s heart galloped in her ear
and she smiled, felt her heart fill with warmth and the feelings that were
rushing through her.  How she loved this man!  If only he could forget about
the past and love her back!

The rest of the
afternoon was full of laughter.  They ate the picnic lunch Clarissa had the
hotel kitchen pack for her, which was normally enough for four people, but
Raymond’s hunger was fed by all the sexual energy he just spend, an amazed
Clarissa packed the utensils back in the basket.  Minus any leftovers.  He ate
everything!

“I can’t believe you
are in such good shape if this is how you eat!”

“Ah … but remember sex
burns tons of calories.  As long as one makes sure you keep that balance …,”
Raymond noticed her blanch and the blush that crept up her cheeks.  She
scrambled to her feet and dived into the pool. He stood watching her perfect
body, still naked as the day she was born, cleave through the clear water.  He
dived in after her and cleared the water in front of her next to the waterfall.

She turned away and
made to dive in the opposite direction.  He would have none of that however and
pulled her close to him.  She struggled, ordering him to let her go.  He grimly
pulled her tight against his chest and his rigid gaze bore into hers.

“What is the matter,
Clarissa?  Don’t you like to hear that I had a life without you in it?  Did you
really think I would remain celibate for six years? Sex is sex … it’s a way to
release tension in the body and relaxes the soul … and I had a lot of tension
over the years…”  Ignoring her angry shriek his mouth swooped down and he
claimed her lips in a hard passionate kiss.  His tongue swirled around hers,
filling her mouth with fierce intensity.  His hands stroked down her back to
pull her hips flush against his.  She felt his erection growing against her
again and she started struggling.  His ‘sex is sex’ words scorched a hole in
her heart.  After the precious few days when he treated her with tender care,
she died a little inside.   This was still all she was to him, a body to
expunge his sexual tension!

Raymond ignored her
struggles and tightened his arms around her, slanting his mouth sensually over
hers.  His heartbeat was so fast he struggled to breathe.  He knew he lost
total control earlier, not just physically but emotionally too, which was why
he could not let her go, why he lashed out at her.  He had to protect himself.
She must never realize how much power she still had over him … over his heart!

He gripped her hair in
his one hand and softly started pulling her head back, his lips caressing her
chin down her throat until he reached the base of her neck, where a vein pulsed
erratically.  His tongue sneaked out and stroked down the vein while he kept
pulling her hair until she was arched backwards, her breasts jutting upwards,
completely helpless in his arms.  She moaned and felt her nipples hardening
painfully in anticipation. He laughed softly and her mind went blank when all
of a sudden his lips closed around her nipple and suckled the tip deep into the
warm recess of his mouth. Heat scorched from her nipple down her stomach to center
painfully at the center of her core.  He turned his attention to her other
nipple, at the same time pulled her one leg around his waist.   Clarissa
automatically locked her legs around him and felt his hard shaft searching for
entry.  He pushed into her slowly … so slowly, savoring the instant heat
surrounding him.  When he was in to the hilt he kept still, released her hair
and pulled her hard against him, his one hand circling her neck beneath her
hair, the other pulled her hips even closer into him.  Her breath shuttered
through her lips and he captured her eyes with his.  The heat in his so
electrifying she closed her eyes.

“No … open your eyes.
Look at me.”  She obeyed and he started moving inside her with deep and slow
strokes that nearly drove her crazy.  No matter how she rotated her hips or
gripped him inside her, he kept thrusting deep and slow: all the while watching
her, feeding off the pleasure and passion swamping her eyes.  He was still
watching when her pleasure culminated into throbbing radiance when she
climaxed.  He followed with a deep thrust and threw his head back as he felt
the force of his release pulsing through him.

When both of them had
energy, he pulled her with him directly under the waterfall and gently rubbed
her whole body down with the falling spray of the water.  Then they silently
swam to the edge of the pool and got dressed.  Raymond glanced at his watch.

“It is getting late, we
should start back.  Bette said you came here by taxi?” At her quiet nod, he
picked up the picnic basket, took her hand in his and started walking around
the pool.  “I’ve arranged for the helicopter to pick us up at four thirty. We
don’t want to be late he might not wait for us.”

Neither one spoke to
each other on the short flight back to the Seven Mile beach.  It was a short
walk back to the hotel and Clarissa set off in that direction at a brisk pace,
but Raymond clasped her hand in his and pulled her to his side walking next to
her at a slow leisurely pace.

“What’s the rush, my
love?  The night is still young.”

Clarissa glanced at
him, tension running down her spine.  She felt depleted, physically and
emotionally. When he tore into her so uncontrollably, she was ecstatic. Truly
believing, that finally, he realized his feelings for her were still there. She
threw all her passions and love into every part of her body, into him and to be
told ‘sex is sex’ shattered her.  Torn her heart apart and nearly broke her in
two. Even when he took her so deeply passionately next to the waterfall it
meant nothing to him, yet the look in his eyes watching her with his passion
and heat flashing to the surface made her cry inside.

Moreover, she still
only had herself to blame! He clearly set out to punish her, to make her
suffer, as he suffered when she left.  Worse even, showing her how she had
turned him into a ruthless, heartless man that only took and took, never giving
anything in return!

She knew she had to get
away from him before the sobs she was desperately forcing back broke through
and she cried her heart out in front of him.  She jerked her hand from his and
set off at a neck-breaking run.

Raymond stopped and
stared after her running form.  Seems she was always running away from him.
This time … this time she had due course.  When he lost total control, he knew
he had to do something to retain some vestige of the upper hand.  And what did
he do … he ripped into her with the one thing he knew would strike her down.  That
she meant nothing more to him than a warm body to ease his sex drive.

But was it not her just
deserves? Her punishment for the pain and heartache she put him through six
years ago.  For the loneliness, he had to suffer. Contrary to what he told her,
there had not been that many sexual encounters, apart from Linda and only to
give her what she so desperately craved, a child of her own.  Had she not
conceived after that one night he had sex with her, she would not have had
Robby either.  He knew it was not fair to Linda, but he had to get horribly
drunk to give her even that one night.  It was too soon after Clarissa left and
earlier on that same day, he received Clarissa’s engagement ring in the mail,
just the ring, no letter, and no note.  Up until that point, he believed that
she would come back, that she realized she loved him and he meant more to her than
the job. That was four and a half months after she left.  Over the past six
years, he had one-night stands for sexual release only, probably as little as
three or four, and he never spend the night.  Oddly, the release he received
were unsatisfying and left him even more frustrated, so he threw all his energy
and passions in his work, never having enough time or any desire for any type
of relationship.

Chapter
Eleven

“But Dad, they are so
tiny!  How can they throw them in the big sea?  They will drown … oh no … even
worse!  They will be eaten!  Gobbled up by all those big sharks!”  Robby’s
voice rose with each new thought that raced through his mind.

Clarissa took his hand,
sat on her haunches and tried to ease his fears.  “In the wild this is normal,
Robby.  Little turtles waggle to the water the minute their eggs hatch.
Generally only a quarter of turtles hatched make it to adulthood.’’

‘’But that is awful!
Why don’t they keep them until they are bigger and can then swim fast and
hide?”  He was still very upset and Clarissa pulled him in a loose embrace
close to her.

“They have to learn to
vend for themselves from a young age.  Once they are in the water they are much
safer than out on the beach.  This way more turtles grow to adulthood than had
they hatched in the wild…”

Her voice droned on in
further explanation and all Raymond could do was grip the rail he stood by
firmer.  Seeing his son in Clarissa arms was more than he could bear. All that
kept running through his mind was that Robby could have been theirs, should
have been theirs!

Clarissa glanced up and
their eyes met.  She sighed heavily and pushed herself upright.  The anger that
he hurled at her, shot straight to her heart.  His fury always seemed aimed
only at her.  No matter how hard she tried, since the day at the waterfall,
every time he looked at her it was with anger, loathing or resentment.

Well, she has had
enough.  Today was the day it would end.  Today he would tell her why he has
been glaring at her, for two days or … or she …She sighed … or what?  She had
nothing to threaten him with that would matter to him.

Having made up her mind
she walked towards him, their eyes still glued to each other.  She saw the
fierce flash in his and nearly turned around.  It was as if he wanted to have
an argument with her!

Clarissa did not know
how close she was to the truth.  Raymond was frustrated with her politeness she
offered the past two days, since the day at the waterfall.  Not that it would
keep him away from her, when he wanted her again!

“So, go for it, Ray.
What have I done now?”  Her voice breezed to him, soft yet tough as steel.  He
smiled inward.  She really thought to sound like a martyr would give her an
out.

“I don’t know?  Have
you done something I should be aware off?”  His voice was soft and amusing,
totally belying the hard glitter in his eyes.

Clarissa felt the anger
flow through her.  He made her so angry!  She went through a lot of trouble to
arrange this trip to the turtle farm where they released thousands of sea
turtles every year on this day, thinking they would all enjoy this, especially
Robby.  She even went as far as to join them.  Thinking to show Raymond, she
was not angry with him anymore, but he was clearly aiming for a fight.

“Don’t be obtuse!  You
have been glaring at me for two days, just now with open hostility and anger!
So let’s have at it!  What have I done now?”

Raymond could hold back
no longer.  The anger of the past six years, leaped to the surface like an
enraged cougar.  What he snapped out, hurled at her face were all the hurt and
resentment he kept buried deep in his heart.

“That you could hold
another woman’s child so dear to your heart, but that you denied me yours!  And
all, for a god damned job!”

The blood rushed from
her face, leaving her as pale as the sand on the beach, her breath snagged in
her throat and her heart was savagely torn apart hearing him snarl those words
at her.  She swung around and ran, as fast and as far away from him as she
could.

Before she reached the
parking lot, hard hands closed around her shoulders and jerked her back.  Those
same hands roughly yanked her around and she faced the vicious fury of the only
man who managed to rip her heart apart with only a look or a word.

Raymond looked into her
eyes.  He hardly noticed the tears streaming down her cheeks.  His anger and
resentment was now in full force. All the years he managed to bury, it fueled
the heated release thereof.

“You still deny the
truth, don’t you?  Did you really think that a few tumbles between the sheets
would be enough to erase what you did to me … to us?”  His hands were like
shackles around her shoulders and she could not move even had she wanted to.

“Ray, please … you are
hurting me!”

His eyes hardened even
more and he brought his eyes on level with hers, not loosening his hold on her
shoulders.

“You don’t know how
much more than hurting you I want to do right now, my dear!  You should have
run the first time you saw me here! But no, you had to snare me back with your
seducing body and eyes!”

“No … I di …”

“Ah, but you did,
Clarissa love.  Always close, always there … for me … for the taking!”

Her fears and tears
intensified and she struggled to pull away from him.  “Let me go …” She now
sobbed in a whisper.  Raymond was clearly and totally out of control, his anger
intensified by the minute.

“I would have, my
darling, if your body spoke the same language your mouth did.  We both know the
moment I touch you, every denial coming out of your mouth is a lie. Don’t we?”

She looked up into his
glittering hate filled eyes, sobbing even harder in her heart, for what she now
realized would never ever be again.  Slowly she raised her hands, stood on her
toes and laid her hands on his cheeks.  She kissed him softly and whispered
against his hard lips.

“I have always loved
you, Ray, and I always will…”  Her lips touched his again, ignoring his
outraged gasp, hoping her declaration would soften his heart.  She could deny
it no longer; her heart always has and always would only belong to him.

His hands left her
shoulders and he pulled her flush against his body and hard met soft.  She
leaned even closer into his hard, muscled body and when his lips closed around
hers in a hard, deep kiss, she opened her lips and returned the kiss with all
the love and passion, in her heart.

Raymond pulled his
mouth from hers his arms still clasped her tight against him.  She looked into
his eyes, and her heart tore even more when the loathing was openly there for
her to see.  She tried to pull away but he would not allow her.

“Love … please Clarissa … we both know,
it is one word in the English language you do not know the meaning off!  But I
will gladly accept your lust and desires … in that at least, we speak the same
language!”   His mouth swooped down on hers again and this time he showed no
mercy, no passion, only the lust and desires he just mentioned.  She struggled
against him, her mouth feeling raped and dirty under his, but he was relentless
until her own lust and desires overruled his treatment of her and she kissed
him back, her body heating up and quivering in his arms.

“Morning, Boss.  I didn’t think you
would be coming in today.  Aren’t you going to spend the last few days with the
St Claire’s before they go back?”

Bette’s chirpy voice
did nothing to soothe the headache hounding her since they came back from the
turtle farm yesterday afternoon.  The minute the minibus had stopped in front
of the hotel she jumped out and ran to her cottage, locking it for the first
time in the six years she had been staying there.  It was most probably all the
crying she did during the afternoon and through the night that induced the
headache.

Bette looked closely at
Clarissa when she did not respond, noticing her swollen eyes and the waxy pale
color of her skin.  “Are you all right, Clarissa?  Do you have a migraine
again?”

“I am fine, just a
slight headache and no sleep last night.  Nothing, a strong cup of coffee
cannot fix.”  Bette jumped up and headed to the coffee machine in the corner.

“Coming right up!”

Clarissa sat with her
head thrown back on the chair behind her desk when Bette brought her coffee
in.  The strong aroma of the coffee prickled her senses and she sat up, gladly
accepting the steaming cup from Bette.

“So, what is on the agenda
for today, Boss?”   Clarissa switched her computer on and they started
discussing the success they achieved during the Pirate’s Festival.  The rest of
the morning flew by as they concentrated on work and it was already after one
when they both realized they were starving and it was time for a break.  Bette
got up, gathered all the cups from the desk and walked back to her office.
Clarissa finished typing the report she was busy with and sat back with a
sigh.  At least she managed to forget about Raymond for a few hours!

Just then, he appeared
in the doorway.  Her breath caught as if she conjured him up by magic.  He was
dressed casually in shorts and a white shirt unbuttoned half way down his
chest, show casing his strong muscled body below.  She sighed and leaned back
in her chair.

“I can’t do this
anymore, Raymond … please, I can’t!”

His face remained
expressionless, his eyes unreadable and locked onto hers.  He pushed his hands
into his shorts’ pockets and sauntered closer, still saying nothing.

“Please, just go.”

She realized it sounded
like she was begging, but she was past caring.  She could take no more of the
hurt he took so much pleasure hurling her way.  Raymond ran both his hands
through his hair and sighed heavily.  He walked around the desk and she jumped
up, keeping the chair between the two of them.  His lips quirked into a small
smile, but when his eyes caught hers, he was serious.

“You are right.”
Another sigh.  “With everything that happened over the past two weeks, maybe…”
He swung away and walked around her desk again, where he turned and looked at
her.

 “Let’s put everything
that happened between us over the past few weeks behind us.  Let’s pretend we
just met again and are … happy to see each other.”

His voice roughened towards
the end, but his eyes told her, he was dead serious.  She searched his eyes,
trying to find some sign for his sudden change of heart.

“Would you be able
to?”  He frowned at that.

“What?”

“Pretend to be happy to
see me again?”

His lips hardened into
a straight line and walked back around the desk to stop in front of her,
pushing the chair out of the way.

“Is that not all we
have been doing since I got here? Pretend? Why not add another flavor to the
equation?”  His voice turned sarcastic and Clarissa shook her head.

“Ray, you would never
forgive me … so why would you even suggest …”

“Because I still want
you!  Damned if I know why!  But I still do!”

“That is just lust!
Find another body to use!  Mine is all used up!”  His temper flared at that.

“What?  Am I not good
enough to barter your body to keep this exulted job, like you did to get it?”

Clarissa stared at the
red mark flushing Raymond’s cheek and the sting on her palm testimony that she
just slapped him.

“I am sorry!  I never
meant to … no … what did you expect when you insult me like that!  How dare you
implicate that I … no Ray … stay away from me!”

“I did not implicate, I
made a statement!  And you better start bartering seriously, if you want to
keep this job!”

Fury flushed through
Clarissa, her eyes glittered in rage, but Raymond ignored all of that and drew
her resisting body towards him.  His one hand circled her chin to lift her face
up to his.

“So beautiful … even
angry … but I don’t mind the anger … it marries very well with lust!”

Then he lowered his
head and his mouth touched hers.  He managed to surprise her once again.  This
time he feathered his lips over hers, so softly and tenderly, not savagely and
passionately, as is his norm when his anger and passions flare up.

His fingers around her
chin lightly caressed her neck and his tongue stroked sensuously at the seam of
her lips.  She sighed and opened her lips in invitation, which he accepted with
slow, deep caresses in her mouth against her tongue, swirling shallow and deep,
searching and finding the uncontrolled passion she could hold back no longer.
Yet he still did not give her what she now craved, he kept his kiss slow and
tender, deep, yet soft and she craved deep, passionate.  She moaned into his
mouth and he smiled inside himself.  Maybe this was how to keep one-step ahead
of her.  Always do the opposite of what she expected from him!  Lord knows he
needed something to anchor him; he always seemed to lose his head and good
sense around her.

Bette cleared her
throat in the doorway and they pulled apart, but Ray kept his arms around
Clarissa, forcing her to glance around his shoulder to her, her face flushing
red.

“I guess I am going on
lunch alone?  Never mind, I’ll see you later.”  And off she went.

Raymond leaned his forehead
against Clarissa’s and sighed.

“I want to pretend … I
need to pretend … even if it is just for a few days.”
