Liam nipped my chin, then looked into my eyes again as his cock parted my lips and slid inside. I moaned as he filled me.

“Is that what you’ve been craving?”

“Oh yes,” I breathed.

“You feel amazing. Your pussy’s so tight.”

“Oh yes.”

He pulled back, nearly to the tip, then pushed inside again. My wetness made it so easy for him.

As he moved, I became wetter, craving more. Liam nipped at my neck and flicked his tongue, sending waves like little bolts of electricity down to my toes—which I curled as he began to pump harder. I moved my hips against his and wrapped my legs around his back to feel more of his body against mine.

We moved and rocked and moaned with each other as though we had done this dozens, hundreds, of times.

Liam grabbed my wrists and pinned them above my head. He pressed my hands against the headboard as he drove himself deeper.

“I love seeing the hunger in your eyes.” Though he said it, I’d been thinking the same thing.

He released my wrists, and while his instincts seemed to tell him to take control, Liam wanted to keep this as sensual as I did.

My legs began to tingle and I hadn’t realized how much he’d been turning me on.

“Are you going to come for me, baby?”

“I . . . think . . .” My breath came out in short gasps as the pressure built through my body. I pushed my hips into him, driving in rhythm. The motion pushed us closer to the edge, we grabbed onto each other, ready to go there together.

Liam squeezed his eyes shut as my pussy pulsed, squeezing his cock.

“Come for me Tessa.”

As though in response to his order, I yelled out as the first wave hit. He gasped as he came in me at the same time. Being this close, the intimacy intensified the orgasm and it was the most amazing thing I’d ever experienced.

“Tessa . . .” He kissed my forehead. “. . . you are . . .” He kissed my cheek. “. . . fucking amazing.”

I smiled before he could get to my lips. “I could say the same about you.”

“Mmmm, I like the sound of that.”

“I
could
say the same. Doesn’t mean I am.”

“Hey now.” He nipped my neck as he rocked his hips, burying his cock all the way inside me.

Even after just coming, he was still hard enough to fill me. I found myself even more sensitive than before and gasped as he pushed against my g-spot.

“You’re going to make me come again.”

“That’s the point,” he said into my ear.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and gripped his hair. Toes curled, my legs shook as another orgasm rolled through my body.

Once he could see I’d completely melted into the pillow, Liam rolled to my side. Head propped up with a hand, he didn’t just grin, he gave me a mile-wide smile that made me melt all over again. “I could listen to you come all day.”

I laughed and propped my head up in the same manner as him. “Could you?” My arm felt weak from all the activity but I held it steady. He enjoyed taking control and it seemed that I enjoyed meeting the challenge.

I sighed. “Wish we had all day.”

His eyes sparkled again. “I’d take you all weekend if I could.”

I brushed my hand across his chest. “Couldn’t think of a better way to spend our time.”

“We’d probably have to take a break and find food in town.”

I shook my head. “I think I’d chance it with delivery and hope they wouldn’t add something extra to the order, thanks to my sis.”

A shadow crossed Liam’s face as though I had reminded him why we were at my place and not his. “Damn.”

“Yeah. But we have plenty of time for all this.”

Liam sat up and faced the door. I couldn’t see his expression, but the way his shoulders slumped I knew I’d disappointed him. I mean, why else would he be worried about time?

I got up on my knees and leaned into his back, pressing my breasts against him. He sighed as I wrapped my arms around him. “You feel so good. This feels so good.” I rested my chin on his head. “Don’t worry, we’ll find a few days just to enjoy each other.”

Liam squeezed my hand. “I hope so. I just don’t want to let this go.”

I frowned. “Let go? You’re not making any sense. That’s definitely not my plan.” I hugged him hard, then sat beside him so I could get a better read on his expression.

He tucked a piece of hair behind my ear. “Forget I said anything. I’m enjoying every minute with you.”

If he was now, he wouldn’t be once we got to the station. Having him along for that wouldn’t do. “I know you want to be here for me, and I can’t thank you enough, but I think I should handle Dani alone today.”

“It’s really—”

I held up my hand. “I don’t want her to feel ambushed, and since I didn’t bail her out when I said I would, this would probably be better.”

Liam’s lips thinned as he pressed them together.

“Look at it this way: go back and get whatever work done that you need to so we can spend that time together.”

He sighed. “I came here to support you and—”

“And you did.” I grinned at him. “Several times.”

When he chuckled and relaxed his shoulders, I knew I had won. Once he had something in his head it wasn’t easy diverting it away.

Liam faced me and ran his fingers through my hair. “You really are something else, you know?”

“Oh, I’m something,” I teased because I didn’t know how to handle the intensity in his gaze. It had shifted the moment we began talking about time and wanting each other. All I knew was that I wanted this to continue more than anything. I couldn’t remember previous relationships lasting this long, maybe because I’d never found anything so meaningful before.

We had something, there wasn’t a doubt about that.

I supposed that was what was important.

I leaned over the bed and grabbed a handful of sheets to move this way and that. “Any idea where my underwear went?”

Liam chuckled. “It really was a long night, hmm?”

I sat up, and memories of us running through the house naked to my room played back in my head, as well as my zipper dress. “Maybe next time I won’t cross state lines without my underwear.”

He gave me as mischievous a grin as I’d ever seen from him. “If I had anything to say about it, you’d never cross with them.”

CHAPTER 38

Liam

I tossed the empty tray of cupcakes onto my passenger seat and grinned.

The drive from Tessa’s house in Greenwich proved to be longer than expected without her, so I decided a little pick-me-up was in order. I licked the rogue bit of frosting at the corner of my mouth.

The image of Tessa using her tongue to lap at the head of my dick came to mind. Instantly, blood flowed right down from my brain and I had to adjust myself. Getting hard while driving wasn’t my favorite thing, but every time I thought about her, it was inevitable.

I grabbed the second package of cupcakes. Not something I normally indulged in, but today was an exception.

As I took a bite, there was no doubt, it was well worth it.

With one cupcake left and a mile from the loft, I saved the last for Randy. I’d put him through enough last night to deserve a box for himself. He’d helped me plan the whole evening for Tessa, then I left it up to him to coordinate everything from contacting the chef to removing the tea lights.

As he held the door for me, I knew a cupcake wasn’t going to be nearly enough. The firm look he held clearly came from his days as a soldier. This man was ready to kick some ass.

I just wished it wasn’t mine. He was my employee, but that didn’t mean I wanted to be on his bad side.

I stopped just inside the entrance and Randy crossed his arms. “Sir, there’s something you should—”

I held up a hand. “I get it. I dropped a lot on you last night. Don’t worry, you’ll be compensated.” That was something he already knew.

The muscle in Randy’s jaw flexed, a reaction I hadn’t seen since the pool leaked into the lobby a few years back. “She’s here and she’s not alone.”

“Tessa’s . . . here?” My brain tried to wrap around his words. “How the hell did she make it back here before me?”

His jaw twitched again and I wondered if he had any back molars left after grinding his teeth. “Not Tessa. The other one.”

“There’s no one other than—Fuck. Me.” I began to walk to the stairs.

“Mr. Rising—”

I kept going. The sooner I saw Paisley, the sooner I could get on with my day, and my life.

“Liam, wait.”

I stopped, unable to remember the last time Randy called me by my first name—if ever.

“She’s not alone.”

My brain immediately went to some bizarre plan Paisley had for a three-way. I pushed that aside. There wasn’t anything she could do that would make me want her over Tessa.

“There’s a man with her.”

Okay, definitely not the kind of three-way I’d be interested in.

“He’s either her lawyer or her dad.”

“Neither sound very promising.”

Randy nodded. “I insisted they come back later. That I didn’t know when you would be back. But they said they’d wait for you.”

“Please tell me you didn’t send them up to my place.”

Randy crossed his arms. “This isn’t my first day. They’re in the staff kitchen. Which takes me to my next point. You owe the chef three bottles of wine.”

“Three?”

“Two for walking out on her four course, already-prepared meal last night. One for me stashing your guests in her sanctuary.”

“You’re the one—”

He held up his hands. “Messenger on all accounts.”

“You know I’m fine with the wine. Order an extra one for yourself. I’m just not looking forward to the conversation I’m about to have.”

I wound my way around the front desk, and as I walked down the hallway, the air grew increasingly warmer, proving undeniably that I was about to enter hell.

CHAPTER 39

Liam

Posted at my staff’s leisure table, Paisley and the guy with her sat alert, like they hadn’t been pointlessly waiting for hours. Paisley had her hair pulled up in a loose bun. With one hand on her belly, her pale skin stood out against her maroon, calf-length dress.

Seeing her hand there—resting over her womb—made a sick feeling roll through my own stomach. Ankles crossed, she lounged against the back of a stool as she swiveled.

Sitting opposite her, a man in his late forties leaned against the table. There wasn’t anything remarkable about him. If someone saw him on a crowded street of businessmen hustling from one meeting to the next, he’d be able to slip into any of their shoes without slowing down.

She saw me first and made sure I saw her hand on her belly before sitting up. “I see you’re back.”

“This is my home.”
For the next week anyway
. Telling Paisley that I would be heading back to Switzerland in just over a week would open a box I wasn’t ready to have to explain.

I decided against joining them at the table. Somehow, standing for this conversation seemed much more comfortable—if that was even possible.

They both focused on me, ready to hear some sort of explanation of where I’d been but I had no problem playing the waiting game. If they sat long enough, maybe they’d just leave.

Finally, Paisley threw her hands up. “I just don’t know what to do with you.”

“What my client is trying to say is—”

“You wouldn’t sit and talk to me civilly over lunch.” Paisley cut her lawyer off. “I need to know that you’re going to be there for me.”

The guy opened his briefcase. “And the baby—”

“Yes, you have to think of our child.” Paisley held her hands out as though pleading with some softer side she assumed I had for her.

He pulled out a stack of papers. “There are certain steps to—”

“I tried to talk to you.” She cut him off again. “I didn’t want to bring John in, but you wouldn’t talk to me about child support or marriage.”

I didn’t let my disgust show when she brought up marriage. “And you’re her . . .”

“Law—”

“He’s my lawyer, Liam.”

John fit his name perfectly—plain. I turned to the guy who shuffled the papers from one hand to the other. “Do you have something there to show me?”

He nodded as he set them on the narrow table. “Your list of assets.”

The fact that the man was able to complete his first sentence had me reaching out to take a look.

Paisley snatched the documents before I could glance at them.

“It’s all right here,” she said. “I wanted to make sure I had all the information. Because information is important to have. Wouldn’t you say?”

“What are you looking for, Paisley?” I asked. Wherever she was taking me, her plan seemed to be to back me into a corner.
