Chapter 23

K.J.

On the ride to Izzy’s apartment I try to process everything I learned just now. The thought of my mother being used as a pawn, for two grown men, should make my blood boil with anger. Yet, I feel nothing. I obviously never had a relationship with her, and was told my entire life she was a druggie that dropped me off at Lorenzo’s door step. Santiago was adamant she loved me and did everything she could to keep me safe. She knew the type of environment I would be raised in and the monster she was leaving me with. Why would she still willingly carry me to term. The best thing she could have done for me was to make sure I was never born.

Parking my bike in Izzy’s designated parking space, I survey the area, looking out for anyone that would be stupid enough to come after me. I don’t think there will be many who take Lorenzo up on his offer, but one million dollars is a lot of money to most of the men in this organization. While I don’t think he is stupid enough to come after Izzy, that is something I’m not willing to chance. At the first sign of trouble I will bring her to the only place she can be safe. Somewhere Lorenzo will never find her.

“There is no need to get so mad, I don’t have it to give Kiersten.” I hear Izzy say as I enter the apartment. Silently closing the door and making my way to the kitchen, I listen to the way Izzy’s bitchy sister starts talking to her.

“You’re such a lying bitch. You work at a club, barely wearing anything, I know you make good money in tips alone. Drunk guys don’t mind tipping the ugly duckling, especially a cock tease like you.” The moment I walk around the corner, Izzy can see me, but Kiersten has no clue I am standing only a few feet behind her.

“Apologize to Izzy.” I command, watching as Kiersten’s body stiffens before turning around to face me.

“This is between me and my sister. I don’t remember anyone inviting you into our home, let alone this conversation.” The skinny bitch replies.

“Kiersten don’t be rude,” Izzy states. “He’s with me and he doesn’t need an invitation to come into my apartment.” She continues on, placing herself between me and her sister.

Izzy is facing Kiersten, her back to me, so I’m not able to see the look on her face when Kiersten says, “I remember you now. You’re the one that Elizabeth was supposed to set me up with.” She archers her eyebrows while clicking her tongue on the roof of her mouth. “Judging by the guard dog look she is giving me; I would say she’s trying to keep you from me.”

I find her statement amusing, until Kiersten moves to touch me and Izzy all but growls low in her throat before attacking her sister. “Don’t you touch him, you overly decorated Barbie doll.” Izzy shouts out, shoving Kiersten into the kitchen counter.

“You fucking BITCH.” Kiersten shouts out before charging at Izzy. I’m used to violence, but the sight of seeing these two sisters, with their claws out, causes me to pause. Izzy turns to me, letting me know she can handle herself by way of glaring at me. Her sister tries to take advantage of her looking away, but doesn’t factor in that I’m fast and would never let any harm come to Izzy. With her hand raised in the air, she comes forward, but is suddenly stopped when I place Izzy behind my back. Snatching Kiersten’s wrist, I tighten my hold, before looking her in the eye.

“If you ever raise your hand to what’s mine again, I will cut it off.” She starts scratching at my fingers, trying to get me to let go. “Now, apologize to Izzy.” I seethe. I can see the look of defiance in her eyes. I know she is too prideful to do what I said, so with a quick sweep of my foot Kiersten falls to her knees. Now that she is looking up at me, real fear evident on her face, I tighten my grip on her wrist further.

“I’m sorry.” She whispers out while looking down at the ground. Izzy is peering at her sister from behind my back, watching as Kiersten is brought to tears of humiliation. For the first time since I’ve known her, Izzy is not reacting to my harsh manners, just simply observing with a blank expression on her beautiful face.

Releasing Kiersten’s wrist, I grab a hold of Izzy’s hand without saying a word, I began walking her out of the kitchen and down the hall to her bedroom. Shutting the door behind us, I take in the bedroom that I’ve seen many times. The fashion magazines that once littered the floor and dresser, are no longer there. The yellow and pink polka dot comforter is still on the bed, not just thrown on, but stretched out and wrinkle free. The closet door being closed, is unusual, because there would be clothes piled in front of it.

“I cleaned my room today. I thought maybe you would like to see what it looked like when I first moved in. I know you don’t like any color other than black, but you have to admit pink and yellow make you feel mellow. At least they do me.” She states. Turning my attention to her, I tilt my head, trying to figure out what is going on. Izzy only rambles when happy or nervous, and judging by the way she is squirming under my stare, I would say it’s the latter.

              “Why are you nervous?”

She looks down at the ground, takes a deep breath, then raises her head again. “Kiersten is going to call my parents, if she already hasn’t, and I don’t have the strength to deal with them. I just wish she would go back to New York. There is no reason for her sticking around other than to annoy me.”

I almost feel sorry for making the situation with her parents and sister worse, but then I remember the way that whacked out bitch was talking to her and instantly get angry again. Taking the few steps needed to be in Izzy’s personal space, I grab her chin, and force her to keep eye contact.

“I will never allow anyone to treat you like that.” I state.

“Do I have permission to touch you?” Izzy whispers into the silent room. With a nod of my head she places her hand, with its freshly painted orange nails, under my shirt. I realize now is not the time to tell her. Not while she’s tracing the ridges of my abs with her finger nail, starting from the top working her way down.

“I’ve been good all week,” she says in between licking her bottom lip. “I think I’ve earned a reward.” I stay quiet, deciding to let her play out this little scene she has in her head, enjoying it almost as much as she is.  “I’ve been thinking a lot about doing something to show you how happy you’ve made me.”  She steps back from my grip and immediately drops to the floor on her knees. Grabbing Izzy by her hair, I force her to look back up at me, “no teeth, no teasing.” I declare before letting her proceed with undoing my belt. I have been patiently waiting for this to happen. Having Izzy on her knees, looking up at me, makes me feel more powerful than ever before. I have control of her, she’s mine to do with what I want, and I’ll never let anyone take her from me.

Chapter 24

Izzy

I wake up earlier than usual because I need to get K.J.’s clothes out of the dryer, and be ready to leave when he gets in the shower. He is possibly the lightest sleeper, ever to walk the planet Earth, so I know there is no way I’m getting out of bed without waking him. Sitting up slowly, I stretch the soreness from my limbs, and mentally prepare myself to act normal.

“You’re up early.” K.J. states in his sexy, sleep filled, voice.

“I was just going to make us breakfast while you took a shower.” I announce, trying hard to sound casual.

“You don’t like to cook, Elizabeth.”

It’s a statement, in a suspicious tone, because he is obviously not buying what I’m trying to sale. Instead of staying cool, and acting like it’s no big deal, to throw off his trail. I do what only I would, and get angry.

“So now I can’t even make you breakfast without your permission. This isn’t Fifty Shades of Grey, ASSHOLE. I can do what I want, when I want. I damn sure don’t need some overbearing, cocky, prick telling me what I like to do.” I swing my legs over the bed, so I can grab my robe and escape the hole I’ve just dug. My plans are short lived, because he is on me before I can even let out a squeak of surprise. With one hand placed over my mouth, K.J. pulls my naked body against his, holding me tightly with one arm around my waist.

“You can make me breakfast, Elizabeth, but while you do I want you to think of the punishment you will be getting for thinking you can talk to me like that.” He states in between kissing the inside of my exposed neck. When he grazes his teeth over my racing pulse, I grind my ass against him, making it clear what I want to happen.

“Just so we are clear,” He says while making his way back up my neck. “I don’t like bacon.” He whispers in my ear just before letting me go and leaving me alone in my bed. Stunned by his admission, having never experienced him be playful before, I stare at him lost in thought. He casually takes a towel from my clean laundry hamper, walking out into the hallway, leaving me to stare at his retreating back. I know he’s on his way to take a shower, which leaves me about five minutes to lay out his clothes, and get the hell out of here.

I was feeling a little guilty this morning about what I had done, but after this little exchange, my vindictive side won’t let me feel anything but pleasure. For a week now I have remembered the way my ass stung for days after that first punishment. I just hope the plan, Candice, Bethany, and I have come up with won’t make him to mad.

Quickly getting dressed in a black tank top with a zombie Cinderella stretched across my boobs, I throw on some cut off white wash shorts, and a pair of flip flops. I rush to the dryer, then to the door of the bathroom. Taking a deep breath, I walk inside the now steamy room, and place his clothes on the counter. “Here are your clothes.” I state before accidently slamming the door in my anxious state, and high tailing it out of the apartment.

Candice is waiting across the street like she promised. Running, like a crazed lunatic, I reach her car, “LET’S GO.” I holler out, while jumping into the passenger seat.

“Did he see you leave?” She questions.

“No… I don’t think so. I just ran like a mad woman as soon as I dropped off his clothes. He is probably putting them on as we speak, because he never takes long showers.”

“Are you sure you want to do this. You could just go back in there and apologize before it’s too late.” She suggests.

“Are you out of your mind, Candice? I’m not stepping foot back in there. I’m past the point of no return and K.J. deserves this for making my ass hurt.”

“Izzy you are the only one brave enough to stand up to that man.” She laughs out, “I’ll never forget this.”

“You don’t mess with the bull unless your prepared to get the horns. He has met his match this time.” I declare, my voice full of false pride. I may have bested him this time, but I know there will be a punishment in my future, I just hope it’s quick.

We settle into a comfortable conversation after we have made it half-way to her aunt’s house. She is in the middle of catching me up on the important stuff I have missed. Like Liam and Josie getting engaged. Since it’s no secret that K.J. doesn’t like Liam, he hardly hangs out with the four of us, he mostly spends time with Jasper.

Pulling up into her aunt’s drive way, Candice gets out of the car, her phone ringing in her purse. I’m not able to hear what is being said into her ear, but judging by the look of dread on her face, I know it’s not good. She says nothing, just hangs up the phone.

“What is going on?” I ask.

“That was Jasper. He knows I lied to him about having an appointment at work.” She states. “He says K.J. knows I picked you up.”

“That’s not possible….” I whisper. K.J. has made it clear to all the body guards that he will let them know when they are needed. As long as he’s with me, they don’t have to be.

“You did lose your body guards, right?” I start to question Candice.

“Yeah. I told them Jasper was going with me. They backed off when he confirmed it. Then I told Jasper there was an emergency and he wouldn’t be able to go. I was supposed to wait for Hunt to come back, but I left before he arrived.” She explains while her phone is ringing nonstop in her hand. I can see the look of defeat on her face as she stares down at the phone.

“Do not answer that.” I command. “They are probably trying to track us down. I’m sorry I got you into this, but you are an accessory now, K.J. will use you to get to me.” I loop her arm through mine, and start walking up the path to her aunt’s house. She is out of town with Travis, visiting his relatives. This is a perfect place to hide out and let the storm die down some. Using the spare key Stacy gave Candice, we get in, and lock the doors behind us. The guys will most likely check here, but not before checking our normal hang outs first. We sit on the couch together, listening to the constant ringing of Candice’s phone. In situations like these, seconds turn into minutes, and minutes into hours. That seems to be the case here. Wondering why K.J. has not tried to call me, I look down at my phone and see that only 3 minutes has passed.

“Do you hear that?” Candice asks.

“I can’t hear anything over your phone.” I say. When it sends the incoming call to voice mail yet again, I hear the noise she is talking about. In the far off distance, I can make out the sound of a motorcycle, and it’s getting closer.

“How did he find us this quick?” I shout, getting up to look out the windows like a tweeker. “I wasn’t expecting him to find me so soon. He hasn’t had time to change or cool off, Candice. WHAT DO I DO?” I ask in a panic.

“I’ve never seen you like this, Izzy.” She laughs. “You’re usually so strong and aggressive. You are acting like me right now.”

“I hope Jasper takes pointers from K.J. when it comes to your punishment.” I yell out, frustrated he found me so soon.

“Well that is not something I have to worry about right now. Your man is at the door, mine is still looking for me.”

“Think again, Chicka. Jasper is getting out of his car as we speak.” This captures her full attention fast and she rushes over to stand next to me. Looking out the window together, we both laugh out loud, watching as K.J. gets off his bike. When I did his laundry last night I may have sprayed, a full bottle, of bleach on his black jeans and black shirt. In my defense I was just trying to expand his wardrobe.

We start laughing harder when we see the look on Jasper’s face, before quickly returning back to an angry scowl. K.J.’s shirt is black in some spots, a dingy yellow in others, and off orange in most. He has on his leather jacket, covering most of the mess, that I didn’t dare touch. However, there is no hiding the once black jeans, that now look like a child’s experiment gone wrong. I purposely sprayed them in a polka dot pattern, trying to make him feel like a sexy leopard, instead making him look like a wanna be clown.

“Izzy you are so dead.” Candice whispers out.

“I know.” I mutter back. They are approaching the front door, so we rush over to confirm it’s locked. Looking over at a nervous but happy Candice, I give my thanks for her help. “This is it my friend. We have made our beds, now it’s time to lie in them. Thank you for helping me, I just hope we live to tell the tale.”

There is no point in waiting for them to knock, I unlock the door and open it, coming face to face with the only man to have me weak at the knees with just one look.

“Wasn’t expecting you guys anytime soon.” I declare, looking only at K.J. “Nice outfit. Glad to see you are trying to change it up.” I am not expecting him to lay me over his knee and proceed to spank me like I’m a child. In front of our friends.

“You’ve got to be kidding me, LET ME UP!” I yell out, just as his hand comes down on my ass. The shorts manage to take a way a lot of the sting, but it still hurts all the same. I start kicking and squirming, while shouting out all sorts of threats. “You bastard, just wait, I will get even.” I threaten. “This isn’t funny, I’m going to rip your balls off and make you eat them.”

“You want to act like a bratty kid. I will treat you like one.” He declares, bringing his hand down again. Once my brain registers that there is no way for me to get out of this, I calm myself down, and do something I will forever regret. “I’m sorry.” I whisper.

              “For what?”

“For spraying your clothes with bleach.” My ass stings as he spanks me yet again. “And for running off.” I finish. Bracing myself for another whooping, I let out a breath when he releases me from his hold. Still sitting on his lap, I cross my arms over my chest, and refuse to look at him. I’m utterly humiliated that he just treated me like a child in front of Jasper and Candice. No matter what he does, I’m never talking to him again.
