But he longed to see Memphis wrecked again—on Tyler’s terms, not just because he’d been pushed into losing his cool and his mind. During their relationship, his ex had taken Tyler apart on a daily basis, but he had only the single memory of being the one to totally undo Memphis.

And he wanted more than the one. He
needed

His toe slipped, and his heart lurched at the sickening surge of adrenaline. And since falling would put a crimp in his as-of-yet undecided plans, he shut the thoughts down.

Twenty minutes later, he reached the top and pulled himself over, chest heaving in search of enough oxygen. He focused on the distant sound of the ocean and the salty breeze. Just like the day before, they had this bit of the beach to themselves. Once he felt less likely to pass out from the climb, he might be able to appreciate the bird’s-eye view.

“Amazing sight, isn’t it?” Memphis said.

Tyler turned to look at a sweaty Memphis clad only in shorts and sprawled on the rock. Propped up on his elbows, he appeared to be enjoying the scenery, his legs slightly spread…

The mental groan in Tyler’s head was loud.

He ignored the thick heat pumping in his veins as he set down his daypack and pulled out the two towels he’d brought. He fished out both bottles of water, tossing one to Memphis. Tyler was still pondering the crazy idea of sleeping with him again when Memphis’s cellular let out a single
beep
and he pulled the phone from his pocket. After checking the screen, he let out a small scoff and typed in a response.

“Who was that?” Tyler asked

“Julissa texted me. She wants to know if I’m resting as instructed.”

Hearing her name always left Tyler a little uncomfortable, but he lifted an amused brow at the guy who was currently trying to catch his breath from the climb, too.

“What did you tell her?” Tyler asked.

Reclining on the rock, Memphis spread his hands out as if the answer was obvious. “I
am
resting,” he said with an overly innocent smile. When Tyler shot him a look, Memphis went on. “And no ratting me out to Jules.”

Tyler raised an eyebrow. He doubted the woman wanted him to seek her out for a conversation. In this particular instance, though, she probably would. It had been obvious from the beginning she worried about Memphis and that the two were still tight. Tyler also realized he knew next to nothing about the relationship.

“How did you meet Julissa?” Tyler asked.

Memphis shifted over to stretch out on one of the towels. “A stunt led to a bit part in a movie with me in my underwear,” he said with a grin of memory. “An ad agency working for Fifth and Taylor saw the film and asked me to sign on as their model. I figured I needed an agent to help me sort through the offer.”

“So you hired her,” he said.

Memphis folded his arms behind his head and closed his eyes. Tyler wondered if the topic was difficult or if the man was just resting.

“I liked her drive, her energy,” Memphis said. “She’d just left one of the big Hollywood firms to open her own business with a friend, and she was eager to sign me on. She’s damn good at what she does.” He rolled his head to look at him, his golden-brown hair mussed and damp at the temples, hazel eyes full of curiosity. “But what are you
really
trying to ask here?”

Obviously, the guy had picked up on the fact that Tyler was being careful with his words. But before deciding whether or not to follow through on his insane plan, shouldn’t he ask about the end of their marriage first? Had it been Julissa’s idea to call it quits? Or Memphis’s?

And, seriously, the answer to that question shouldn’t feel so important.

Tyler laid down on the second towel, stretching out next to Memphis. “You and Julissa…”

He paused.

“Had a great sex life,” Memphis filled in. “
Despite
one reporter’s claim to the contrary.” After a pause, Memphis went on with a wry set to his lips. “Then again, she never fucked me in the ass, either, if that’s what you wanted to know.”

Jesus Christ.

He knew he should respond with a
no shit
expression, but his ability to react was nearly crippled by the force of his pulse.

“That wasn’t what I was about to ask,” Tyler said dryly. “But thanks for sharing.”

And the reminder that he’d been the only one to have Memphis that way got his body going like nothing else. Every time he looked into those hazel eyes, the one thing he remembered
very
clearly was the heat they’d reflected back at him in the elevator mirror.

Tyler briefly shifted his gaze to the choppy waters beyond the shore. “I wanted to know why you two got divorced.”

A lengthy, uncomfortable pause followed before Memphis sighed and rolled onto his back. This time, as the guy stared up at the sky, Tyler could tell the subject was one he preferred not to talk about. His body appeared tense.

His voice sounded worse.

“It ended because Julissa and I grew to need different things,” he said. “From the get-go, we agreed we didn’t want the traditional life with white picket fences and regular schedules and
kids
. But somewhere along the way, she changed her mind.” Memphis sounded almost regretful. “And I didn’t.”

Well.

After all the public speculation about sexual orientation and fake marriages and keeping up appearances, to have the divorce be due to something so…
normal
—or normal enough, Tyler supposed—the news felt almost anticlimactic.

“I told you before,” Memphis said, training his disturbingly honest gaze on him again. “You and me? Our sex life was never a problem, either. The other night was fan-freaking-tastic.” A wicked grin crossed his face, flooding Tyler with heat, and Memphis shifted, as if to get up. “So I vote we go back to my hotel so we can enjoy a―”

“Wait.” He placed a hand on Memphis’s chest to stop him from sitting up.

Tyler took his time filling his lungs with air, ignoring the force of his pulse and the feel of hard muscle under his palm. He should have known his decision was a done deal. Ever since he’d accepted Memphis’s apology, Tyler had felt lighter, like a huge weight had been lifted. With that load gone, he’d let go of the bad times and was left simply remembering all of the good.

“Not so fast,” Tyler said.

Disappointment flashed in his eyes. “Come on, Ty. I was hoping we could―

“We can.” He leaned in and placed his lips over one of Memphis’s flat nipples, enjoying the sharp inhalation in response.

“God,” Memphis groaned as he arched his back, his voice turning husky. “Elevators. The top of boulders. I think I’ve figured the new you out.” He reached up to cup Tyler’s neck and hold him closer. “You’ve got an exhibitionist kink. Maybe even a bit of a breath-play kink.”

No, he had a
Memphis
kink. But when Tyler had been fucking him, wrapping his arm around the stuntman’s throat had put a look on his face that Tyler had never seen before. The roar that had ripped from the man’s mouth as he’d come would live in Tyler’s memory forever. The sight had been
beautiful
, but Memphis had wanted fire and punishment and a little bit of pain. This time, Tyler wanted a slow burn, nothing but appreciation and pure pleasure.

To that end, he set the tone by pressing soft, open-mouthed kisses around each nipple. He didn’t use his teeth. He didn’t add to the purple marks he’d left yesterday. Instead, he closed his eyes, refusing to rush as he took in the taste of hot skin under his lips and the scent of salt and citrus shampoo. The quick rise and fall of Memphis’s chest beneath his mouth. When Tyler finally flicked his tongue across a flat bud, it tightened in response, and the catch in Memphis’s throat left Tyler smiling against his skin. He used his lips to soothe the faint bruises at the base of Memphis’s neck and slid his hand down his chest, devoting his entire nervous system to enjoying every sensation.

He lightly traced the furrows between the ridges of the six-pack on Memphis’s abdomen. Tyler skimmed his fingers along each rib. Up the lean flank. The feel of heated, smooth skin and hard muscle left Tyler breathing faster, the
want
expanding in every cell and leaving his body humming.

How many times had he seen an underwear ad starring Memphis and wound up dreaming of doing exactly this? His hand finally landed on Memphis’s waistband, and he gave it a tug. The man lifted his hips obediently, and Tyler dragged the shorts and boxer briefs down and off, tossing them aside.

“Tyler,” he said hoarsely, closing his eyes and clutching Tyler’s shoulder to urge him lower.

And, good God, the sight of the hard cock on the man’s belly made his mouth water. He briefly considered skipping straight to a blow job. But he had so much more he wanted to do. So he reached for his water bottle and tipped it over the awe-inspiring display of male torso.

When the liquid hit his skin, Memphis’s stomach muscles clenched and his lids flew open. “What the—?”

“Did I cool you off?” he asked with a grin.

“Heck no.”

Tyler chuckled. Small rivulets now rushed along the abs, and he leaned in to catch them with his tongue. He lapped at the tiny pool in Memphis’s navel. Next he rubbed his nose in the drops clinging to the coarse trail of hair leading lower. And then he palmed Memphis’s warm cock.

“Fuck,” Memphis whispered.

Encouraged by the sounds slipping from the man’s mouth and the rock of his hips, Tyler started to stroke Memphis as he continued to lick his way along the water-filled channel of the victory V. He refused to increase his pace even when Memphis’s movements grew more insistent against his hand. The weight of his dick and the forceful thrusts brought to mind how the guy used to pin Tyler to the bed and fuck him so hard he’d thought Memphis would come up the back of his throat.

Christ.

At the crushing surge of lust, Tyler closed his eyes for a moment to steady himself. And then he lifted his head and swallowed Memphis down.

“God,” Memphis hissed as his fingers scrambled to grip Tyler’s head. “I miss the longer hair.”

Not nearly as much as Tyler had missed having Memphis’s cock in his mouth. But as much as he’d loved blowing Memphis, the man had had a horribly wonderful habit of taking control of that activity, too, and Tyler had other things in mind for today. After several bobs of his head, he released Memphis with a
pop
, ignoring the protesting whine.

Tyler sat up and pulled the lube from his pack, holding the bottle out.

Memphis lifted his eyelids and stared at the container. “You have a plan you want to share?”

Tyler tried not to look smug. “Yes,” he said. “One that involves you getting in touch with your anal side. And I don’t mean that in a type A personality way.” The thought had been on his mind since the elevator. He suspected Memphis hadn’t spent much time exploring this particular erogenous zone on himself. So Tyler tapped the man’s thigh, enjoying the corded muscle beneath his fingertips. “Now bend your right knee and hold out your hand.”

Several emotions crossed Memphis’s face: doubt, a trace of confusion, and a good dose of anticipation. Their gazes locked, Memphis finally did as instructed. Tyler squeezed a generous dollop onto the stuntman’s fingers and his hard cock before tossing the bottle aside. He then directed the lubed hand down to Memphis’s ass, swirling one of the slick digits across the puckered hole. The brief flare of Memphis’s lids, the quick flash of understanding, and the dark look in his eyes left Tyler wishing he had a camera to capture the image.

“What are
you
going to do?” Memphis asked.

“Enjoy watching you finger fuck yourself.”

Memphis sucked in a breath. “Are you serious?”

Clearly the words weren’t a protest, the question rhetorical. Because Memphis hooked his free hand around his bent right knee, hiking it high, and Tyler almost died.
Christ
, what an amazing view of a front-cover-ad-worthy ass. He wondered if he’d spoken out loud, because, with a dimpled grin, Memphis pressed a finger in until the tip disappeared.

When he began to slide the digit in and out, heat swamped Tyler’s body, and he bit his cheek, forcing back the groan.

Memphis’s brow broke out in a sweat as he pulled his knee higher and pumped harder. “You’re really gonna make me do all the work?”

“Well…” He shucked his own shorts and underwear and set them aside.

And then he braced his arm by Memphis’s head and straddled his ex’s extended leg, scooting forward. Tyler leaned in until their cocks lined up, being careful not to interrupt Memphis’s finger action or block his own view with his knee. The position required a bit of fine-tuning but was well worth the effort when Memphis stared down at the two erections, skin brushing skin, and then back at Tyler.

Tyler’s lips twitched in humor. “Not
all
the work.”

With that, he wrapped his hand around both cocks. Anticipation left him clumsy, and after a few awkward pumps and adjustments in his hold, Tyler managed a firm grasp and began to jerk the two of them off together.

Oh, God…

The delicious friction and the feeling of Memphis’s hard length next to his left Tyler’s groin feeling tight, his heart heaving, his thigh muscles shaky.

Tyler even managed to twist his wrist on the upstroke, an act that rubbed their heads together, eliciting delicious little shock waves that traveled up his spine and lit his skin on fire. He alternated the action with an occasional flick of his thumb across the beads pearling at the tip of Memphis’s shaft, pulling a hiss from the man each time.

And seriously? He deserved a friggin’ lifetime achievement award for coordination, especially given the distracting view and the sounds Memphis provided.

“Fuck me.” Unlike while climbing the rock, Memphis definitely sounded winded now. “Where’d you learn to do this?”

“From you.”

“Well, hell,” he said, his eyelids fluttering closed. “I’m more awesome than I remembered.” A few pumps and smears of precum later and Memphis’s husky words were almost too slurred to understand. He added a second finger to the action at his hole. “Remind me to send myself a thank-you card.”
