“Whatever,” she flustered, brushing back long strands of hair that had fallen into her eyes.
Channing pointed with his index and middle finger forming a V-line towards his two eyes. “Remember in here, it’s me, Channing, the man with the blue eyes that took you to heaven and back. How could you forget me so quickly, Allison?” He smiled, teasingly.
Allison ignored his questions as she moved to the opposite side of the desk and out of his reach. She continued to rummage through a stack of folders. Then pulled out a photo between some files. Her expression turned pallid as she eyed the picture.
“I told you his eyes were greener than green. Pictures don’t lie,” Channing said proudly, hitting the desk with his palm flat out as if he was giving the desk a high five.
Allison’s eyes flashed on him then glanced back to the photo of Jace she was holding. “This doesn’t prove anything. It’s possible you were wearing contacts in the photo,” she contested.
“I’m sure he wasn’t,” Channing smiled broadly, showing off his perfectly aligned pearly whites.
“What is it that you want from me? What kind of game are you playing? I mean my God, haven’t I given you enough already today?” She slammed the photo facedown on her desk.
“No, I want you to listen to me. After all, isn’t that what you do best? Aside from, of course, sucking them dry?” He grinned devilishly and simultaneously raised his brows.
“What? I don’t suc—” she said, swallowing her word hard.
“You don’t suck them dry—you did me today,” he taunted her, which inadvertently caused Allison to smile for a split second. “Seriously, isn’t that what you do best? You have been seeing Jace for two years, taking his money and you haven’t helped him at all...and, now you’re thinking he is crazier than ever. Interesting.”
“I need you to leave...I don’t like the turn of events here or the game you are playing with me,” she retorted, angrily, pushing at his chest.
“Why don’t you just shut up and listen. Show some compassion for your patients. I mean, isn’t that what you
should
do best? Aside from fucking with their heads. Pun intend.” He smirked. It was obvious he was thoroughly enjoying confronting her. “If I were Jace, maybe your little seduction and tears would have work on me, but I am not. Jace would have been long gone after the sex with his average sized cock wagging between his legs. Me, on the other hand, Missy, I’m sticking around like you should have done for Jace. Hell, I have helped Jace’s marriage more that you have managed to do after two long years.”
“If you are Channing…how dare you judge me,” she hissed, pointing her finger in his face.
“Here it comes, twist things around now, go ahead point your long finger at me. Give me a break, Allison why don’t you raise your standards? You have known for a long time Jace desired you and you liked it. Shame on you, teasing him every chance you could. Since he’s been seeing you, from the start, you’ve loved the fact that he hasn’t had the ability to have sex with his wife. He feels guilty for wanting you, instead of her. And, you loved the thought that he secretly wanted what I just had. It’s empowering to you. Not to mention his desires kept you in business.”
“You need to leave or I am calling security!” Allison boldly demanded.
“What are you going to do, tell the security guards that I took advantage of you? They know Jace—everyone knows he is beyond a good guy. What are you going to do? Say that Jace had his way with you. Funny thing is they will find your DNA all over my cock and no sign of a struggle. Call them,” he said challenging her and then reached for the phone, “Here, I will call for you,” he laughed theatrically.
“Oh my God, you are a sick man!”
“Isn’t that the reason why I’m here?” He said mockingly, waving the phone high into the air.
Allison jumped up and swatted the air, reaching for the phone, then retreated when she noticed his expression was amused by her panic.
“You are sicker than sick,” she shrilled.
“No, not sick Allison—just sick of hurting people. As for you, I would bet if I went through your files
I would find that all your patients are married men—men with serious insecurity issues and you are the one building their egos—you haven’t helped anyone of them with their marriages. Have you?”
Allison shrugged, refusing to answer his question. “I am sick of your interrogation.” She pivoted on her heels and curled up into the corner of the sofa. “I am done.”
“They all have fallen in love with you. That gives you power, huh? They all want you, Beautiful Allison”—he rolled his pelvis forward, pointedly—“And I can bet you
have been with more than just me sexually—now get your ass over here and sit down, now!”
“Are you kidding me? Who do you think you are? Just leave...please.” She exasperated a long breath of air.
Channing approached her and grabbed her by the arm off the sofa. He wasn’t rough, but showed her that he meant business.
Allison screamed. She was shocked by his forceful behavior. “Let go of me.”
Her legs stumbled as he guided her across the room, stopping in front of a slim leather armless chair. “Sit.”
Allison’s legs trembled as she lowered herself into the chair. “Why are you doing this to me Jace?” She yanked her forearm out of his firm clutch.
Channing hovered over her. “Be quiet and sit still for once in your life. And, my name is not Jace. It’s Channing. Do
not
refer to me as Jace anymore. Do you understand?” His face reddened, as his nostrils flared, his forehead lines deepened marring with his frown. Damn, this dark side of Jace was even more stunning to Allison.
“Yes, I do...but you are scaring me.” Allison melted into the chair.
“I seriously doubt that—and if so, I am sorry—but again I doubt it. I just want you to listen and understand. I also want to help you Allison because you need my help, more than you know. I want to help you the same way I have helped Jace’s wife,” he said, holding one eye shut for longer than a fraction of a wink. The corners of his eye
s wrinkled upward into sexy lines.
“What do you mean you helped her? What did you do for her?” Allison’s asked. Her voice vibrated, and a single tear streamed down her face...this time she was not acting.
“I have already spiced things up for Jace and his wife. No thanks to you. You said you met Elena, right?” He clasped her chin. Allison
’s lips pulled into a tight straight line. She refused to answer. “Speak up,” Channing ordered.
“Yes. But—”
“Where and when?”
“She came here once,” Allison snarled, glaring into his face.
“How could you play with her marriage the way you have?” he asked, releasing her chin with a slight push to the side.
I—I, it wasn’t my intentions to sleep with you today...you just seemed different than before.”
Channing sighed a breath of relief. “I told you I’m not Jace. I hope you believe that now.”
Allison nodded and agreed. “Yeah, everything was different about him—you, but I didn’t know. I mean I’m trying to believe all this now. Today it was like your scent drove me wild,” she confessed. “It’s the first time I’ve ever wanted to cross the line with Jace.”
“Again I doubt that too—but yes, I also had the same affect on Elena when I entered Jace’s body.” He spoke with confidence and an air of arrogance. “I knew she felt that something was different, but she never said a word. She is actually very sexy and such a sweet woman. Mmm, I can almost taste her on my lips right now,” he smiled egotistically, licking the upper edge of his top lip. He noticed the look of displeasure on Allison’s pout.
“If you are trying to humiliate me—you are doing a wonderful job.”
“Don't worry your pretty little head, you taste like no other. Don’t ever doubt that. You are quite a hot dish. But, I have to say I have found great enjoyment in all the women I have fucked, if I may be so blunt. Some more—others less—” He waffled his hand back and forth.
“I really don’t care about Elena...I mean, she’s not my patient, and I certainly don’t care about the women you have fucked.”
“Yes, I know you don’t—it’s obvious. You don’t care about anyone but yourself and the success of your shady little business. That’s why you’ve only met her once! You certainly couldn’t reach out to her or look her in the eyes after what you were planning. Could you?” Channing badgered her.
Allison glared at him with hate running through her veins. She murmured under her breath.
“Answer me, Allison,” he barked, his face flared red.
“Screw you, I’m not the monster you are painting me to be,” she scowled, flashing him an evil look filled with contempt.
“Oh no, of course not...but, you haven’t been a very good therapist. Maybe I need to do to you what I did to Elena...that might put you out of your misery,” his voice lowered to merely a whisper.
“What did you do to her? Did you hurt her?
Are you going to hurt me Jace—Channing?” she asked with tears swirling in the toughs of her eyes.
“See, it always comes back around to you. Are you going to hurt me?” Channing mocked her. “No. I’m not going to hurt you—not like you think. And no, I didn’t hurt Elena either. If you even give a shit. Do you really want to know what I did to her?”
Allison managed to utter, “Uh-huh
.”
“Fine you ask
ed for it. Yesterday when I was sure of Jace’s routine, I came home early to surprise Elena. Their lovemaking had become somewhat stagnant, as you're aware. I’m sure he shared with you the details of their pathetic love life. No, thanks to the torch he’s been carrying for you. You know he’s secretly in love with you, right?”
“Yes, he’s told me they’re lovemaking was non-existent. But I swear I didn’t know he was secretly in love with me,” she whined.
“I have a hard time believing that.”
“No, it’s true. We’re friends—I was trying to help him...yes, he’s magnificently stunning and I thought about—actually I didn’t plan on,” Allison caught her words.
“As I had said, sweetheart, your recovery plan sucks—in more ways than one.”
“What? You were moaning awful
ly loud an hour ago. I would love to slap you right now, you son-of-bitch!” She seethed, wiping her eyelids. Channing had her emotions swinging like a pendulum.
“I wouldn’t advise getting violent, that is unless you want me to turn you over my knee.” He chuckled condescendingly.
She stammered loudly, “I am not a child. You cannot talk to me this way.”
“Then stop with your tantrum. I need to finish what I started here.”
“Channing, please you said five minutes...I have given you that, your time is up and if you don’t leave I will.” She threatened.
“You
will
calm down and not say another word, or I will tie your ass to that chair.” He narrowed his gorgeous blue eyes. It was almost as if he could see right through her into the depths of her soul. His eyes paralyzed her.
Allison exhaled a long breath of air, surrendering to his ultimatum. Immediately her demeanor became docile as she coiled her body inward, the blaze in her eyes settled into the amber golden flecks. Her body felt languid, drained and spent. Chan
ning had put her through the ringer. Thank God, she didn’t have to deal with the likes of him for two years.
Channing put both of his palms on her shoulders and began massaging her tenderly. Allison rolled her neck forward and around, releasing the stored up tension in her muscles. He turned her on and turned her off. How much more could she take?
“That feels terribly good,” she moaned.
“Sounds like an oxymoron to me. God, Allison you are so tight, you should relax more often.” Channing suggested in a deep baritone voice, sending butterflies into the hollow space below her sternum. It was apparent she was enjoying the calming affect his strong fingers delivered.
“Anyway, when I walked into the front door unannounced, Elena was in shock because, as we know, Jace doesn't usually come home until after six and nine o’clock on the three days a week he sees you.”
“I had a dozen pink roses in my arms. Elena was ecstatic, not only to see Jace home so earl
y, but she almost fell over when she eyed the roses. Pink roses are Elena’s favorite. Although at this point in their relationship, receiving any kind of flowers from Jace would be a big deal to her. Before she could even state her excitement, I grabbed her in my arms and kissed her, hard on the mouth. Unfortunately, the roses fell to the ground and scattered. At first she resisted, it was her knee jerk reaction to swoop down and gather up the long stems. Instead, her body went languid in my arms, and she melted on the spot. I felt the heat in her eyes come alive like a teenager’s first love. She responded by grinding her hips into my hard cock. Her long over due desire to be touched by Jace, again, was out of control. I am sure she noticed the girth below Jace’s waistline was extremely different too.”
