“Maybe we should.”
Her smile made him think about the offer more seriously, until her
stomach decided for both of them.

“I guess I should have
fed you earlier, huh?” Colton put his arms around her waist
and pulled her closer to his body. “Or, I could just feed you
in bed.” The playful smile that Morgan was growing quite used
made her giggle.

“How about dinner out,
and dessert in bed?” She tilted her head to the side and her
shiny long spirals fell across her arm. Colton took one of the
ringlets into his hand and felt it between his fingers.

“I think that sounds
perfect.” His lips met hers slowly, and she could feel his
smile against her skin. He was definitely a much happier person than
Kai, and she looked forward to a nice fun week with the gorgeous man.

The first kiss was always the
most interesting to Morgan. Each man had their own method of
breaking the ice, and his way did not disappoint. He was the fun
type, the kind of man that could obviously kiss and laugh at the same
time, much like Sean and Tanner. Some men made every kiss count,
kisses that meant something, and that type was definitely, Finlay.
Colton, she decided, was the exact type that she wished every client
was like. Fun, carefree, and filled with nonsense; that was the
perfect client. Unfortunately for Morgan, not every client would
meet that criteria, but her current one did, and that's all that
mattered right then.

“Are you going to tell me
where we're going yet?” Morgan asked as Colton helped her step
into the large truck. He gave her ass a smack and shut the door
without answering her.

“Do you like steak?”
Morgan nodded. “Then we're good.” It took nearly thirty
minutes to get back into civilization, and although the time gave her
the opportunity to catch up on her messages as they came through on
her phone, something else had her attention. Colton had lifted the
cup holder in the middle, allowing Morgan to get closer, and she did.

Sitting in the middle, next to
the big cowboy, she felt like he was her boyfriend, more than a
client. It was the feeling a girl gets on the first date. The
butterflies and the anticipation, but without the worry. No worrying
about a second date, no worrying about wandering eyes and no worrying
about if he'd call later. She laid her head on his shoulder and
smiled.
It's like having a new boyfriend every week.

He made her laugh, he
held her hand and he turned the country music up loud, mostly to
drown out their own awful singing. If the car ride was any indication
of dinner, Morgan knew she'd have fun. When they got closer to the
outskirts of Dallas, the buildings and lights coming into view, she
thought of asking again where they were going, but decided he
probably still wouldn't tell her. It wasn't until another ten minutes
that she finally discovered where they'd be eating.

“Oh, I should have
known!” Morgan opened her door before Colton could get to her
side, but he grabbed her around the waist and helped her down without
using the steps.

“Told ya I ain't fancy.”
He shut the door and placed his hand on her back, guiding her to the
restaurant. His hand managed to reach the back pocket of her skirt
before they reached the door of the Texas steakhouse, but could
honestly say she didn't mind the groping at all.

Her own hand slid into the
pocket of his jeans as he told them they needed a table for two. He
paused for a moment and gave her a quick smile, then the hostess told
them there would be a fifteen minute wait before they could be
seated.

“You didn't make a
reservation?” Morgan tried her best to be serious, but her
giggles escaped. In comparison to some of her more recent clients,
none of them would have ever dreamed of going to a restaurant without
reserving a table...and if by some crazy fluke chance they hadn't
made a reservation, the restaurant would either make a table
practically appear out of thin air to accommodate the wealthy
men...
and they'd probably get free champagne for the
inconvenience.

“This isn't the
'reserving' kind of place. Beer is cold and the steak is fucking
amazing.”

“Fucking amazing steak?
I'm not sure I've had that.” Morgan turned to the side to avoid
running into a group of women entering the restaurant and the two
walked back out the front door to wait outside.

“Oh, you're going to have
it tonight. I'll just wait for it. 'Colton, this is the most fucking
amazing steak I've ever had in my life.' You'll thank me later.”
He mocked her in a girly voice that couldn't have sounded less like
her if someone had paid him to do it and it sent Morgan into another
fit of laughter. His straight face was even more amusing than the
deep thick-accented country-girly voice that had just come from him.

“I don't say your name
like that!”

“Coal-ton. Yes you do.”

“Colton.”

“Yeah. Colton, not
Coal-ton. You sound like a damn Yankee,” he laughed and wrapped
his arms around her shoulders, then pulled her close against his
chest. He rubbed her arms to keep her warm as she thought about her
rebuttal.

“Well, that's how you say
it,” Morgan corrected him on his own name. “And what
exactly am I thanking you for later?”

“Mor-gan, you have no
idea what you'll be thanking me for later.”

“Well, if you're right
about not compensating for anything with that truck of yours...”
Morgan grabbed the tip of his hat and pulled it down, covering his
eyes. He lifted it back up, then kissed her. His kiss wasn't as
playful as the first one he'd delivered and Morgan knew a man who
could kiss like that definitely didn't have to compensate for
anything. The kiss was finally broken when they heard a young woman
clearing her throat behind them.

“Blair? Table for two?”

Chapter Six

I've never seen a
restaurant so big! I guess it's true what they say about Texas.”
Morgan sat at the small table and looked around at the spacious
building.

“Yep, that's why I
wouldn't be able to live anywhere else.” The look on Colton's
face as he tried to subtly boast of his manhood put Morgan back into
a fit of laughter that even made the waitress smile. She did,
however, get herself under control long enough to order a glass of
wine. Colton, on the other hand, went with his usual. “I'll
have a Shiner.”

“Shiner? What's that?”
Colton leaned in, trying to make himself heard over the band that
had just started, and told her that it was beer... Texas beer. “Oh,
beer is good!” Her shouting about his drink made him laugh,
and he nodded then told her that he would let her try it. Within
minutes, he was good on his word as he handed the bottle over to
Morgan.

“Uh...well, it's beer.”
She handed it back, and tried not to make a face. It's not that it
was bad, it was just that it wasn't exactly what she had expected in
a beer.

“Ah, you can get used to
it. It's the only thing I drink actually.” Colton held his
bottle up and waited for her to do the same with her wine. When she
did, he touched his drink to hers. “To a fun week! And, to
dessert in bed!” That last part was heard by everyone around
them as the band had just finished their song. Morgan coughed as her
wine and her laughter refused to mingle. She was still trying to get
herself together when Colton moved his chair to her side of the
little table. She put her head on his shoulder briefly and her hand
on his leg.

“This is cozy.”
She liked having him that close, and it was also another opportunity
to simply, and openly, stare at the man. “You really are good
looking, but you know that.” He blushed, but she assumed that
he had heard that at least a hundred times before. It was true
though, his dark blonde hair was only inches above his collar. It
looked as if he were a man that could care less about the current
hairstyles, yet the more natural let-it-fall-where-it-wants worked
perfectly on him. “And you're lips are oh so kissable.”
Another blush, but she landed another kiss, which was what she was
going for. His full lips on a sexy wide smile made for a great
kisser.

“I could go through the
list of things that are beautiful about you, but we only have a
week.” Morgan rolled her eyes at the exaggeration, but she
appreciated it anyway. “I'm serious! But I think what I like
most about you is your sense of humor. Never lose it, Morgan. No
matter what.” His face went a little more serious, and she
nodded in reply.

“Truth is, it's the thing
that has gotten me through life. It's.... my favorite thing... I
guess.” Colton saw the distant look come over her, and he
reached around her waist and chair to dig his fingers in the opposite
side of her ribs. “No fair!” She tried to squeeze his
large leg, but he flexed it to the point of not even being able to
keep a grip on him at all.

“Would you like to
order?” Their server smiled as she waited for them to put
their hands away.

“Two steaks, big ones,
medium. Both with a loaded potato, and salad.” He looked at
Morgan and smiled. “Is that alright?” She nodded, and
told him that it sounded perfect. The game of grab ass continued
until their meals arrived.

“The most fucking amazing
steak I've ever had!” Morgan mocked Cotlon's earlier words,
her impression of him was even worse than the one he did of her.
“Wow, seriously, this is wonderful!” She took her last
bite of the tender meat and sat back in her chair to chew it slowly
and enjoy every last second of joy that the meal had brought her.

“Told ya so.”

“Oh, and I suppose I owe
you that thank you as well.” She rubbed her full stomach, then
grabbed her glass to finish the last of her wine.

“Not yet.” He
smiled again. “You still have room for that dessert?”

Morgan dabbed her mouth with a
napkin and nodded slowly, hoping the heat rising to her cheeks wasn't
as red as it felt.
I have room for more than dessert.

“You ready?”
Morgan nodded again and after a quick rifling through his wallet,
Colton threw down money for their meal and drinks, as well as a
generous tip, and they made their way back to his ranch.

Getting back seemed to take
half the time, but Morgan also noticed he was driving faster. She
wondered if it had anything to do with
dessert,
but again,
kept her comments to herself. Instead, they played count-the-deer and
Morgan was sure he let her win their silly little game, but it was
fun anyway.

“Did it rain again?”
Morgan kept herself seated in the passenger side of the truck as she
peered over the edge and saw a massive pool of mud at her feet.

“I think so. Here.”
Colton held his arms out and Morgan put her hands on his shoulders so
he could lower her like before, except he didn't put her down. He
quickly picked her up, kicked the door shut with his foot and carried
her all the way to the house.

“Aren't you just a true
gentleman?” When he put her down on the front porch, Morgan
repaid his kind gesture with a warm kiss.

“If I just have to carry
you around to get more of those...” Colton picked her up again
and carried her into the house, then dropped her on the sofa. More
kisses were exchanged until neither of them could even connect their
lips with one another from eruptions of laughter every time they got
close.

“I...can't....breathe....”
Morgan rolled to her side in giggles. It was just one of those fits
that couldn't be stopped. She didn't even know what was so funny, but
she had Colton to thank.

“Oh no! She can't
breathe! Step back everyone! She needs mouth-to-mouth!” Colton
rolled her back over and came down on her lips hard, then blew a puff
of air into her mouth, causing a loud noise that made Morgan laugh
harder than she even knew was possible. She fell to the floor and
didn't even notice when Colton left her side. She thought she heard
his voice over her own gasps for air and when he spoke again, she
realized she was right.

“Do you like chocolate
syrup?”

“I...like...chocolate
anything!” More giggles.

“Okay, hold on...”
She heard some cabinets opening and shutting and sat up with her back
against the bottom of the sofa, trying to collect herself. When he
came around the corner a few minutes later with two monstrous
sundaes, just seeing him made her laugh again. “Bedroom..hot
tub...bedroom.....hot tub. Pick one. Quick!” He was teetering
the bowls in the air like a scale as he asked.

“Uhm....hot tub!”

“Alright, I'm going...”
he threatened, walking away with her ice cream.

“No...” Morgan
stood quickly and ran to his side, attempting to grab her share, but
he held it high in the air.

“Do whatcha gotta do and
I'll meet you in there,” he told her and she nodded, then they
parted ways and she went up the stairs to throw on a bikini.

“I could have just taken
my clothes off...it's going to happen anyway,” she told the
empty room, still laughing about the whole CPR ordeal. When she got
back downstairs and met him in the 'office', he was already chest
deep in the steamy abyss.

“What?” he
questioned her narrow-eyed look. “Hey, at least I didn't eat
the ice cream yet...” He knew she was staring at him that way
for getting into the bubbling tub without her.
