Thank
you
for
being
honest
with
me.

Queen
said
as
she
hugged
him.

I

ll
make
sure
Katelyn
gets
back
in
her
dad

s
life
were
she
belongs.

Thank
you,
Mye
Queen.
Thank
you.

Queen
left
Mr.
Hope
on
the
porch
quietly
weeping
tears
for
the
daughter
in-law
he
loss,
the
granddaughter
he
adored
and
the
resurrection
of
the
son
he
loved
more
than
life
itself.
He
silently
prayed
that
with
Queen
in
his
life
X
could
recover
from
the
funk
that
plunged
him
into
a
deep
dark
depression
and
caused
him
to
shun
his
beautiful
baby
girl.
In
his
heart

s
heart
he
knew
that
Queen
had
exactly
what
it
took
to
love
X
back
to
life,
and
he
was
right.

Queen
returned
to
the
cabin
to
find
an
anxious
X
pacing
the
floor,
uncertain
what
his
future
with
his
Queen
held.
She
said
not
a
word
but
went
straight
to
him
and
kissed
him
as
hard
and
as
long
as
she
could
before
he
could
say
a
word.

Stunned
he
kissed
her
as
though
he

d
never
have
the
opportunity
to
kiss
her
again.

I

m
sorry.
I
know
what
you
must
think,
but
it

s
not
…”

Queen
immediately
interrupted
him
with
another
passionate
kiss.

I
love
you.
You
don

t
owe
me
an
explanation.

I
love
you,
I
swear
before
God
I
do.
I
still
love
Angel,
but
I

m
in
love
with
you.
And
if
you
let
me
I
want
to
spend
the
rest
of
my
life
proving
it
to
you
minute
by
minute
and
hour
by
hour.

X
proclaimed
as
he
held
her
tight
enough
to
break
her
in
half.

You

d
better.

Queen
teased
as
she
wiped
the
tears
from
X

s
wet
face.

Don

t
worry
I
will.

He
nodded

So
when
do
I
get
to
meet
Katelyn?

X
drew
a
big
breath
before
he
answered,

Just
as
soon
as
we
get
back
to
LA.

~*~*~

True
to
his
word
Queen
met
Katelyn
the
moment
they
got
back
to
LA.
X

s
parents
had
arranged
for
the
nanny
to
meet
them
at
the
airport.
Everyone
was
teary
eyed
as
X
scooped
his
daughter
up
into
his
big
arms
and
held
her
as
if
she
was
a
precious
China
doll.
She
giggled
as
her
dad
planted
wet
smooches
all
over
her
face.
Katelyn
knew
exactly
who
he
was
and
she
was
happy
to
see
him.

And
though
Queen
hung
back
giving
X
his
space
Katelyn
saw
her
and
reached
for
her,
melting
Queen

s
heart
like
chocolate
melts
in
the
summer
sun.
It
was
almost
as
if
she
recognized
Queen.
From
that
very
moment
on
Queen
knew
that
she
couldn

t
leave
them.
They
needed
her
and
oddly
enough
she
recognized
that
she
somehow
needed
them
too.

Chapter 8

Life
with
X
and
Katelyn
was
wonderfully
fulfilling.
Queen
soon
found
herself
functioning
in
a
role
that
she
never
perceived
possible.
She
was
a
mom.
Katelyn
moved
in
with
X
and
Queen
almost
immediately.
Queen
absolutely
adored
her
and
quickly
became
content
with
the
transition
from
the
single
life
to
the
mommy
life.

Naturally
the
couple

s
life
quickly
changed.
Medical
School
was
back
in
session
and
X
continued
to
work
at
the
University,
the
hospital
and
he
picked
up
extra
shifts
at
the
Surgical
Clinic.
Queen
offered
to
help
with
their
finances,
but
X
refused
to
take
a
penny
of
Logic’s…
I
mean
Queen

s
money.
Basically
pressed
for
time
and
completely
worn
the
fuck
out
the
couple

s
sex
life
suffered
greatly
and
we
all
know
that
was
a
disaster
waiting
to
happen.

Sex,
fidelity
and
leniency
were
the
three
things
that
Queen
had
to
have
to
make
a
relationship
work.
She
had
been
playing
real
nice
and
had
been
one
hundred
per
cent
faithfully
committed
to
X,
but
she
wasn

t
quite
sure
how
much
longer
she
could
go
without
sex.
It
had
been
six
long,
hard
to
manage
weeks
since
the
last
time
they
had
sex
and
Queen
was
almost
ready
to
kick
Teddy

s
door
in
to
get
what
she
needed.

Like
X,
Queen
had
some
issues
that
needed
to
be
worked
out.
Unfortunately
the
only
way
she
had
learned
to
work
out
those
issues
was
through
sex.
Not
only
sex
but
good,
mind
boggling
sex
and
a
whole
lot
of
it.
X
knew
exactly
what
he
was
up
against
when
he
took
Queen
on
solo.
Queen
had
replaced
two,
not
just
one
overly
sexed,
men
with
X
and
for
him
to
suddenly
close
up
the
candy
shop
on
her
was
frankly
bullshit.

What
the
fuck
is
up?

Screamed
in
Queen

s
mind
every
time
he
crawled
in
the
bed
next
to
her
and
took
his
ass
to
sleep.
Of
course
Queen
flew
some
solo
flights
to
keep
the
edge
off,
but
that
only
made
the
situation
worse.
Each
time
she
flew
solo
either
Logic
or
Teddy
were
her
navigators
that
brought
her
in.
Of
course,
this
only
made
her
want
and
miss
them
even
more.
And
with
Teddy
less
than
a
half
of
an
hour
away
and
begging
her
to
come
back
every
single
day
Queen
didn

t
think
that
she
could
hold
out
a
second
longer.
Well,
at
least
without
a
damn
good
explanation.

Unfortunately,
X
could
not
or
would
not
offer
her
an
explanation
except,

Baby,
I

m
tired.
I
promise
I

ll
take
care
of
you
tomorrow.

The
problem
was
when
tomorrow
came
around
he
had
the
same
old
line
or
no
explanation
at
all.
It
had
been
over
a
month
at
this
point
and
Queen
was
beside
herself.
She
flat
out
demanded
satisfaction,
so
to
speak.

What
time
do
you
get
off
tonight,
baby?

I

m
coming
home
early
tonight.
I

ll
be
home
after
Surgical
Rounds.

What
time
is
that?

Queen
pressed.

Six
o

clock.
Why?
What

s
up?

Actually
my
patience.
I
need
some
alone
time
with
you
and
I
am
not
taking
no
for
an
answer.
I

m
so
horny
I
have
to
check
behind
me
to
make
sure
that
I

m
not
leaving
puddles.

X
laughed.

What?

X
this
shit
is
not
funny.
I
have
to
have
sex
to
function.
And
right
now
I

m
officially
certifiably
dysfunctional,
so
you
are
going
to
have
to
handle
your
shit.
I
don

t
want
no
damn
excuses
tonight.
Your
parents
have
agreed
to
keep
Katelyn
if
need
be.
You
and
I
are
going
to
get
into
some
serious
grown
folks
shit
that
is
illegal
in
about
thirty
nine
states.

X
tried
to
take
Queen
in
his
arms.
But
she
wasn

t
having
it.

I
thought
you
wanted
some
affection.
Why
are
you
pulling
away
from
me?
