He absorbed the run of the rain on his face and slicked back the dripping locks of his hair with a comb of his fingers. He pulled his trigger of hope and smiled into the fall of the rain. “So,” he said, as he felt the strength of blue welling inside him, “this is what it’s like to be human.”

He looked back at Terri with a look only the two could share. It was true, she was there, he saw her, and they loved not being alone.

The air smelled sweet like shop oil, and the rain felt new like water.

He was the best of Cessini. Cessini was a Packet. And he had it all figured out in his head.

Dear Reader,

Thank you for discovering
After Mind
.

If you would like to know when my next book is available, you can join my email update list at

I will post updates and give away advance review copies for reading (and personal reviewing) before official publication.

Today, online reviews from readers like you are the space dust fuel for books, and for my debut,
After Mind
, I would love to know what you think.

On my website, I’ll also post about scientific progress as we move toward a mind like Packet’s (or should I say, Cessini’s?). We’ll get there sooner than many predict.

Until then, I’m looking forward to our Sci-fi future and sharing other great stories, of this world and others, through
