Then she could get on to more important things. Her relationship with Mace might be destroyed after this night, but she wasn’t about to turn her back on him. She would find a way to remove Sadira’s curse. She would coax Saraphine to help.

help. Maybe entreaty her coven, too.

And once that was done with, she would sit down with Mace and hash everything out. She would put her heart on the table in front of him and he could squish it if he wanted to.

She rested her head against Bray’s chest, fully sated and trying to permit herself to enjoy it. To Bray, she finally replied, “Tonight I’ll not regret anything. Tomorrow, no guarantees.”
