“Look, let’s not make mountains out of molehills,” she offered in a conciliatory tone.

But he won’t let up on the subject. “Is your period regular?”

She wanted to push him out the door but reckoned he had the right to know and she could respect the fact that he actually cared to know. Other men would have been out the door than discuss this scary subject after a night of reckless abandon. “Yes. Sometimes it changes dates due to my heavy workload but it’s normally regular.”

“Are you fertile this week?”

She made a mental calculation. Fear gripped her for real now. She was smack-dab into her fertile week. “I could be…” her voice trailed off.

He sighed deeply again. His blatant disappointment was hurting her big time. It wasn’t like he’d be saddled by a baby IF she was indeed pregnant. She can take care of herself, thank you, and her own child, too! “It’s unlikely,” she said to pacify him. “Don’t worry.”

He was looking at her like she’d fucked up a mission to save the world and it was all her damn fault because she was stupid. Yeah, probably. It was her body and she should have been on the pill. But she hadn’t planned on sleeping with him. Or anybody for that matter.

“If you get pregnant, will you keep the baby?”

She was taken aback by his question. “I…it’s too early to talk about that.”

“If you do get pregnant, I’d want to know before you decide anything on it, Ava.”

What did he mean by that? That she would contemplate anything else aside from keeping the baby? She wanted to tell him off, that abortion went against her personal beliefs but she didn’t want to prolong their conversation anymore. “I’ll inform you within a few weeks.”

“Take a pregnancy test as soon as you can.”

“I will.”

Awkward silence.

“Will you please go, now? Norton will take you to your place,” she said in a brittle voice. The heaviness in her heart was threatening to overwhelm her. Why she felt like bawling her shit out, she didn’t know.

He looked like he was still going to talk but thought better of it. She turned away from him because her tears were about to fall. Dammit! Since when did she become a cry baby?

He walked out the door without another word.

Wes thanked Norton
for dropping him off at his house. As the limo drove away, he pulled out his phone from his pocket and cussed. There were 15 missed calls from Tim.

He was about to call his manager but changed his mind. He wasn’t ready to address anything regarding Ava Ryder.

The shocker she’d dropped on his lap this morning practically exploded in his balls. Balls that had shot baby-making fluids like a major oil rig inside her last night and this morning.

Shit. He had palpitations thinking about it. He’d always been careful. Until her. Ava made him forget more than a decade of strict self-imposed safe sex practice. All he could think of when he was near her was sink his monster into her and explode like a supernova.

He may just become a father soon.

Panic seized him again at the thought. Fatherhood was something he hadn’t contemplated yet. His career took center stage at the moment. Complicated shit like that could wait when he was good and ready. It was something he took seriously, too. His family was traditional. Conservative even. His parents were still together. His only sibling, an older sister, had four kids and was joined at the hip with her husband. They were pretty tight knit.

He believed in the sanctity of fatherhood. A man shouldn’t just sow his oats indiscriminately. He’d been sowing wild oats but he made sure they didn’t land on fertile ground. Well, hell, last night, they landed freely on a virgin forest and he may have created triplets, considering his out of control hunger last night he never pulled out. Not even once.

Ava Ryder, still a fuckin’ virgin?!

Jesus, didn’t Dare Montgomery pop her cherry ages ago? She dated the guy, right? He caught the gossip about Ava and the actor years ago when he was at a gym pumping iron one night and two idiots were talking about Ava’s cherry and how Dare the ‘supermodel killer’ had most likely popped it for real. It was Dare and he won’t let that pussy pass un-popped, they’d said.

Apparently, it didn’t happen. Because it was HIM, Wesley Stoner, who did the deed. And the thought of some other man experiencing the out-of-this-world pleasure of it made his gut churn in raw violence.

She’s mine. That cherry was meant for ME or she would have lost it long ago. Nobody will touch her but me ever again. Just ME.

Thinking of Ava’s cherry made his head spin as graphic images of last night came rushing back to his mind like porn footages in full color. Ava under him, his cock being milked by her pussy as he hammered his way to his first orgasm inside her, her perfect tits bouncing with the force of his thrusts, her face, dazed with pleasure as she moaned his name over and over, begging him to never ever, ever stop. Fuck, she’d been tight. Unbelievably so. But his cock was so into its enjoyment of getting wet and strangled by her juicy box it completely failed to communicate to his neurons the significance of such uncommon tightness. It was definitely different from the rest he’d had. He broke her in, that’s why. He’d pounded her virgin pussy so hard he’d made her bleed.

His cock swelled.

Man, this is bad news.

He thought about Ava getting pregnant to kill his erection but to his horror, his cock filled out into a full erection. Unbelievable. The fucker should be worn out by now but it was hungry again.

Growling angrily, he bounded up the driveway of his house.

He needed a bath. Hopefully he could think better afterward and deal with this major snafu like a rational adult not governed by his fucking hormones.

Reena was blabbering excitedly
as Ava pretended to eat her breakfast. She’d been shoveling her chef’s exquisite concoction on her plate, her palate, not interested.

They were breaking the internet. She and Wes.

Her PR team’s prediction had been right. The public lapped up their first public appearance together like a fairy tale, and now they were taking all the social media by storm.

“My phone hasn’t stopped ringing since this morning I needed to put it on voice mail. Av, this is so huge! No guy has ever clicked like this with you in public. Wes is gonna kill it as your Heartbreaker! I’m so excited! You can start shooting your video with him—”

“I fired him last night.”

“What—?”

“You heard me. I won’t be working with him, after all.”

Reena stood up. “But…but why?!”

She shrugged, avoiding Reena’s eyes. “Because.”

“But Av! The entire world is already talking about you! Your pictures are all over the internet now. All the blogs have you on their headlines. The AVMA cams snapped you holding hands! Then there’s a pic of you grabbing his ass!”

She groaned. “They caught that?”

“And that shit Wes said to you before he presented the nominees, it’s been uploaded on YouTube with five million views since last night! It’s phenomenal! Stoneryder is rockin’ the entire world!”

Stoneryder. She grimaced. How the hell did she even think it was cool? It sounded obscene now. Yeah, considering she’d been riding his dick at one point last night.

She met Reena’s eyes and stood her ground. “I’m still calling the deal off.”

Reena’s jaw dropped. “Are you serious?! Av!” Her manager actually stamped her foot like a child in distress. She knew Reena was already counting the possible profits a Stoneryder union would bring and she had to concede, by the looks of it, it would be huge. But…

“I’ve made up my mind.”

“Is it because you slept with him?”

“No…I…”

“So you did. So what? All the more reason you should work together. Come to think of it, it won’t be acting anymore. You really are together!”

That made her break out in a sweat. “We didn’t…we are NOT!”

Reena crossed her arms on her chest and smirked. “Yeah, I believe you. I was probably hallucinating this morning but I do remember seeing Wes Stoner in your bed and you were under the covers with him. AND by the looks of it, you were both naked. Sure, you didn’t sleep with him.”

“Reena—”

Reena sat back on her chair. “Okay, switching to confidante mode. Tell.”

She sighed and sagged in her chair. Reena was already pushing forty and she was like the older sister she never had. They’d been together for eight years now and she considered Reena family. “I fucked up,” she whined, covering her face.

“Yeah. Finally got your cherry popped, I can tell.”

She glared at her.

“What? It’s about time, Av! You’ve been holding on to it longer than Virgin Mary that even Valenna Jones, the Virgin Queen beat you to it!”

“Leave Vanna out of this,” she grumbled. Valenna Jones was a fellow musician and her friend. They weren’t close but they’d always been nice to each other. They both believed in one thing— preserving their virginity for as long as they can, especially in a business where sex was as available as a movie ticket.

“Vanna had more style though. The business savvy bitch auctioned hers and got a freakin’ Italian billionaire car racer to bid for her cherry. Last time I heard, they’re taking it beyond the auction.”

“And I lost mine to Wes Stoner THE Player in a one night stand,” she said glumly.

“Hmm, you sure there’s no encore around the corner waiting to happen?”

“No! Never!” she said all too quickly.

Reena didn’t look convinced. “Never say never, girl.”

“Really! Never again.”

“So okay, since you’ve decided not to sleep with him ever again, your words, not mine, can you be professional enough to honor your agreement? Our teams are so deep into this already. We’re all excited for the developments and we won’t have to do much either. The media is going crazy over Stoneryder. I’ve checked your Twitter and Facebook pages this morning and guess what, your fans approve of him! Moreover, the big bosses are already expecting a lot from your album launch. They’re talking a world tour right after.”

She released an anxious breath. “I don’t think I can, Reen.”

Reena skewered her with a don’t-fuck-this-up glare. Her manager was the only person aside from her parents who could undermine her decisions, because she trusted Reena implicitly. Well, there was another one now. Wes Stoner. That hurricane who blew all her good girl morals out of the sky like he was just exhaling smoke and she didn’t trust him one bit.

“Yes, you can. You’ve always been a pro. Never let emotion rule your reason, remember? Lots are depending on your cool head and fair judgment, Av. Like millions of dollars worth of investments.”

Her personal credo was slapped in her face at the most inopportune time. “You’re such a bitch, Reen.”

Reena didn’t even bat her extra-long Velour mink eyelashes. “I know. Guilty but not guilty!” She dropped her voice to a whisper. “Now tell me, is Wes Stoner really talented?”

She blinked, not getting it. “Huh?”

“You know, I’ve seen his love scenes on cam. That man sure knows the moves. But is he really talented off cam like all those starlets and models love to tell in the rags? I’ve always wondered if they were telling the truth or were just whoring for some five minutes of fame.”

Her cheeks flamed. “Uhm….he’s alright, I guess.”

“Alright? Alright is not good. Alright is a lousy fuck.”

“Reena, my gosh, you sound like Wes!”

“Oooo, the way you say his name now, I can tell he’s genius level.”

Her brows knitted, annoyed. “Like how do I say his name, pray tell?”

“Like you’ve been screaming it like Mariah Carey with the ooohh-ahhhh acrobatics all night long and now you’re having a last song syndrome.”

She couldn’t help it. She slapped Reena’s arm, laughter gurgling in her throat.

“Is his
stone
a pebble or a boulder?”

Her ears now felt on fire. “Reena! Gosh!”

Reena’s lips split in a conspiratorial she-devil grin. “Well?”

She giggled then smiled knowingly. “Like the Rock of Gibraltar.”

Reena’ eyes widened comically, her lips forming a huge O. “Darn, girl, that’s not a boulder. That’s a fucking giant asteroid! Did it hurt?”
