“No, I want to do something that ties us together forever. I don’t want to take a chance on losing you again,” Cori began, trying not to smile.

Burke grinned, hoping she was not just toying with him.
“Really?” He asked.

Cori nodded, “Do you want to be with me forever, Burke?”

“I would do anything to be with you forever, Cori.” He answered as his heart raced in his chest.

“Then ask me to marry you,” she whispered.

Burke felt that he could not breathe, as he stooped down to one knee and looked into Cori’s eyes. “Will you please, please, please marry me?”

“Can we do it now?” She asked.

“Yes,” Burke whispered.

“Then
yes
,” Cori squealed as Burke took her into his arms again. They kissed for a long moment, knowing nothing in the world could ever pull them apart again.

An hour later they were standing at the helm of
The Heart of Calais,
overlooking the beautiful ocean as a chaplain stood in front of them. The crew of
The Heart of Calais
watched the pair with misty eyes from the deck. After agreeing to wed soon, Karoly held Leala in his arms as their daughter smiled in glee. Quain, Garner, and Davet watched the couple happily. Acel pictured himself marrying Cori’s lovely cousin, Rosa. He truly hoped they took another trip to Cuba soon.

The ceremony only took a few minutes and they were pronounced the Count and Countess of Calais. Burke held Cori in his arms as he spoke to her. “
Corisanda Aleene Belcourt, you told me long ago the meaning of your name. You said that Corisanda means
flower of the heart
. Well, you are definitely the flower of
my
heart. You are also the Flower of
The Heart of Calais
. Your middle name means
alone
, and I assure you that you shall never be alone again. You’re my world, Cori. You’re my pirate princess,” he chuckled.

Cori didn’
t have time to reply as they were surrounded by the crew in congratulations. The men hugged her and patted Burke on the back. “When will you start a family?” Karoly asked, as he hugged Leala in his arms.

“Immediately!”
Burke chuckled as Cori’s face turned red.

“Will you sail with us on our trips?” Quain asked.

“Yes, you will never leave me behind!” Cori answered in excitement.

“Where are you going on your honeymoon?” Acel questioned.

They heard his inquiry but neither answered. A boat was passing that took their attention completely. No one met the new owner of
The Beloved Loss
, so when it sailed by, Burke and Cori could not help but stare. A familiar looking man stood at the helm, waving his arms at the newly married couple. Loud laughter was heard from the man as he opened the sails and sped into the ocean toward Cuba. The new owner of
The Beloved Loss
, the passenger that Captain Douglass had picked up on his journey, was a man already
extremely
acquainted with the old ship. Marin St. Aubin sped
The Beloved Loss
away as quickly as it could take him, waving for
The Heart of Calais
to follow suit.

Everyone on the ship realized the same thing at once. Quain and Karoly rushed to set sail as Burke grabbed the powerful wheel, preparing for an exciting game of chase.
Cori and Burke replied to Acel’s question about the honeymoon in unison, “Cuba!”
