Walking to where Donovan was laid to rest, she placed the chips on the grave. “I believe these belong to you. I shall always remember you. I hope you don't mind, but Narendra, has asked me to marry him, and I accepted. Thank you for saving me, and giving me a new life.” She wiped several tears from her face.

             
That spring the couple was married. The village had grown to the point, Chief Kern and council decided it was best to move. They had resettled along the new lake. The village continued to grow and prosper.

             
No threat ever came from the north and the old alliance. The couple couldn't have been more proud, when Rachel gave birth to a son. They both agreed to name him Donovan.

             
Listening to the baby cooing she looked at the early morning sun, now able to enjoy her new life and fondly remember the memories of the formal. She smiled when she felt Narendra slide his arm around her waist.

Donovan opened his eyes. Looking about he realized he was no longer at the bottom of the cliff. Seeds of pollen floated about guided by a gentle breeze.. Flowers decorated the landscape granting marvelous hues of color. Rising up he knew to walk along the rivers edge, in the distance he saw two adults and smiled instantly knowing who they were. The six year old lad, giggled when he heard Oscar barking playfully.

             
Running towards each other they hugged Donovan. “We waited patiently for you son. We are so sorry”

             
“Sorry for what?” he asked innocently. The intense love was abound making the formal life on earth a distance memory.

             
Benjamin, knelt down, “Son we had made a grave error.” Mercedes joined and the three huddled close. “Yes son, I'll try to explain. You died of a illness at six, and there were so many things we could not even began to foresee. I then decided to make some documentation, then I decided to password protect it. We were not sure how you would have taken the news, or what it would have done to your psyche,” Mercedes stopped glancing at Benjamin.

             
“When we created and installed the implants and artificial organs into you, we never knew that your soul would remain trapped on earth.”

             
“So that was what was on chip one hundred?” Donovan turned and petted Oscar who was a abundance of energy and happiness at being reunited with his master.

             
“Yes son, that was it,” mom answered.

             
“Mom, dad? Is that why I couldn't remember anything past the age of six?”

             
“We were not sure how much of a memory you would have waking up in that pod. We then felt we made a grave error all together.” Benjamin looked at his son.

             
“We are sorry son,” Mercedes softly whispered in a motherly love for her son.

             
“It no longer matters, I'm just happy to be with you two and of course Oscar!”

             
With the three hand in hand, they walked along the river's edge till they came to a field, full of wheat in full bloom, beyond it was a mansion, made of white beautiful marble and pillars

             
“Welcome home son.” The trio headed for the tranquilly of home. Love was felt in such abundance there was no longer a need to speak it. Love was alive with them for eternity.
