You jumped into a well. You got too cocky and swam further down than what you hoped. You went for a nice Sunday swim in the sea. Somehow, you end up on the verges of drowning, and you're drowning fast.

The best way to stop this is with a torch. Simply swim to the nearest wall and place a torch on it. The torch will create a small air pocket that will get rid of water and you'll be left with a full tank of oxygen to get you back up to safety

This trick could save your life so make sure to give it a trial run before any serious Minecrafting.

2. Torches Destroy Stacks Of Gravel and Sand

This trick is well-known among advanced Minecraft players, but it's worth repeating just in case anyone missed out on the secret.

If you have some tall and annoying stacks of sand or gravel (usually after some over adventurous nerdpoling), you will find it very irritating to destroy every individual block in the stack, one by one.

That's why you should try this instead. All you have to do is break the bottom block in the stack and then quickly place a torch in its place. The sand or gravel will fall onto the torch, and will be destroyed. The entire stack will be obliterated in about ten seconds. Nifty!

Water can get very annoying, especially when you're trying to make a farm or build a home. That's why you should use this trick instead. Place a ladder or a sign on the wall of the water river and the water will stop flowing entirely! This is also a great method when you are building underwater as it can prevent leaks from getting into the building.
