A Different World

Beginning college and being around young women as opposed to the girls he had been around in high school had tempted David to step out on Rhonda. He did go out on a few double dates and group outings, which usually ended up with him drunk and passing out those evenings in his or someone else’s dorm room, as one of his dates gave him a hand or blow job. He usually talked himself out of the guilt of it, saying to himself that it was just head and something that Rhonda was too inexperienced and innocent to even know where to begin with performing such an act on him. Still, David knew that Rhonda would not be happy about knowing of his newfound female friends and extracurricular activities with them. Only a few of David’s college friends knew he was in a relationship back home, and that was only because of the few times Rhonda showed up to his dorm room for the weekends. Any other time, David kept the picture of himself and Rhonda in his desk drawer until he expected a visit from her. In his mind he was still being a standup boyfriend that was committed to her, and David knew that by the time Rhonda started school there that following fall that he would not have a problem controlling his sexual urges and temptations. Rhonda would be there to take care of his needs. The time went quick, and eventually Rhonda had made her way to the university.

The first night that Rhonda spent on her new campus was freedom for her. Although she loved her parents dearly and would miss seeing them a
s often as she was used to, Rhonda was also excited about this new chapter of her life. Mr. and Mrs. Downing were proud of their daughter graduating in the top five of her high school class and then going away to college. They were well aware that she appeared to be following David by choosing to go to the school he was attending and that did worry them at first. Once they got to know David and his family better, in addition to knowing that their daughter was a strong-minded independent individual who made wise decisions, they trusted that Rhonda would be just fine. As soon as her parents said their goodbyes and she saw them turn the last bend heading out of campus, Rhonda ran back inside and called David to come pick her up. He had said he had something special planned for them that evening to welcome her to campus. Since David was a second-year student, he was able to bring his new car to campus and had moved to a nearby apartment not too far the from Rhonda’s dorm room.

That evening with David was magical to Rhonda. When she opened her dorm room to greet
him he had a single rose extended out to her, which made Rhonda smile. David still had that same effect on her after all this time; she never knew what to expect from David and he was always full of romantic gestures.

“Thank you sweetie,” Rhonda
said as she wrapped her arms around him for a long hug and then gave him a deep tongue kiss as if it was their very first one.

“Wow, I should bring yo
u more flowers,” he joked as she took her flower and placed it on her desk.

David had told Rhonda to prepare an overnight bag to bring with her so she could spend the night with him in his new apartment. Although her ro
ommate had not yet arrived, Rhonda was expecting one and was relieved when David had told her that he would have his own place by the time she arrived to start school. During the times she would visit David during his first year, his roommate would sometimes walk in on them during the most awkward moments; the life of a college freshman. Now they would have privacy and were free to be together as much as they liked without any supervision or interruptions. Tonight was going to be the start of that newfound freedom, she thought to herself.

That evening David took Rhonda to a movie and then out to one of the most popular seafood restaurants in town. By the time they made it back to David’s apartment they were both tired but that didn’t stop them from making the most of the evening. That night after giving Rhonda a tour of his spacious apartment, David led her to his bathroom, lit some vanilla-scented candles and began undressing Rhonda until she stood completely nude with just the flickers of the candlelight on her body. Before he could even start undressing, he could not resist pulling Rhonda’s sexy, curvaceous body to his and aggressively kissing her. As he tongued her deeply, David’s hands grabbed her ass cheeks, and started spreading them apart with his long fingers. Rhonda began to unbutton David’s belt and slacks making them fall to his ankles. He stopped kissing her long enough to take off the rest of his clothes and turn the shower on. Rhonda eagerly stepped under the warm water as she had never made love in the shower and this was a fantasy she had always wanted to live out with David. He stepped in right behind her pulling her ass into his hard-on while fondling her breasts with one hand, and fingering her pussy with the other. Rhonda could hardly contain herself from the sweet feeling of David fine-tuning her body like an instrument with the combination of the warm water falling from above hitting her during this orgasmic experience. Finally, she felt David’s thick penis entering her vagina from the back and she let out a moan that let him know that she had been waiting for this moment all night. As David slowly moved in and out of Rhonda, he whispered and teased her to get her more turned on.

“You like the way this dick feel, baby?”

“Yes!” she moaned.

“You want some more of it?”

“YES!”

David began to pump faster and hard
er and Rhonda joined him in the motion as she began to moan louder. Just as she was getting more into it, David wrapped his arms around her harder which let Rhonda know that he was about to come. By this time, Rhonda was very familiar with how David responded and reacted during their intimate times so she had no farther expectations in that department. His body weight collapsed on her backside; she turned around to face David to kiss him before they gently began to cleanse one another.

“I love you so much David Barnes,” she said to him as he stepped out the shower.

“Me too,” he responded with a smile as he grabbed her chin and gave her a quick peck on the lips. “Let’s get some sleep.”

The new semester had just begun and Rhonda was still wishing the holidays had not came and went so quickly. She looked over at the clock as the alarm startled her awake. As Rhonda turned off the alarm she dreaded having to get up to start her day so soon after feeling like she had just went to bed. She looked over at the empty side of her bed and wondered what time David had left out that night before or early morning. In a semester’s time, things had drastically changed in Rhonda and David’s relationship. Rhonda began college and that first semester being at the same school with David started off being a blast; it was as if they were practically husband and wife, a life that she could see having with him. It was also demanding as she struggled to stay on top of her studies, enjoy freshman life, and be a good girlfriend to him. Rhonda’s fear had always been that he would be the one to get sick of her and want to play the field, but it eventually became the opposite. Rhonda had matured from a young teenage girl in love into a young, college woman on her own; although was still in love with David and would do practically whatever he said, she respected herself enough to now evaluate how her choices would not only affect their relationship but also herself and her happiness.

David’s father had become ill during the middle of Rhonda’s first semester at college so David started spending a lot of time going back home to be close to his mother and father, and Rhonda at first struggled with his sudden absence. She would sometimes go home with him to support David and also visit her own family and friends but when the trips became more frequent she could not afford to keep taking away that time from her studies. Rhonda had long dreamed of the day of going to college to start studying marketing and business. Now that she was here, she could not afford to mess it all up and start failing her classes. This started to create some tension for the couple; David once loved the fact that Rhonda was so intelligent and had plans but once he had gotten to college he started to change and became somewhat resentful of Rhonda. It was as if Rhonda came to the campus a new person. For Rhonda, it was a great feeling because it was like a new start for her to remake herself from this character that people back in her hometown had her pegged out to be. Although David still held his own, even just as much as he did back in high school, to him it seemed to feel like a competition for Rhonda’s attention; he knew she was there for school first and foremost but he had gotten spoiled and used to being a top priority in Rhonda’s life. She, on the other hand, noticed something was different about David and assumed it was due to his father’s illness. Every time she tried to discuss it with him David would say he was fine and change the subject. Days and nights of hot, heavy sex sessions in his apartment began to decrease. It seemed David started to prefer them having time together at her small dorm room in the middle of the night—sometimes they may be alone if Rhonda’s roommate was at her own boyfriend’s room. It was somewhat a relief for Rhonda because she felt overwhelmed and pulled in every direction, but she also thought it was odd that he never seemed to want her coming over to his place. She was also starting to feel like David was becoming very predicable even in their lovemaking. She knew how it was going to begin and how it was going to end; David had been concerned and mad every effort to make sure Rhonda climaxed but that turned into him becoming more concerned about his ability to climax, whether she did or not. Rhonda never complained and she did her best to be a supportive girlfriend while David went through what she hoped would be a temporary rough time for them.

They made it through the second semester and the
y both went home for the summer with Rhonda deciding to go back to school early the last part of the summer to work and prepare for the start of her second year. When Rhonda went home one last time before fall classes began, David announced that he was not going back to school and that he was going to start seminary studies so he could take over for his father as the pastor of the church.

“What?! I have never heard you say you were interested in becoming a preacher! Where is this coming from?” Rhonda asked damn near stunned
as they sat on the bench at their park.

“My father needs me. He’s doing better but it’s too much work for him. I told him I would take over for him and keep his dream going. I have really become quite active with the church a
gain since coming home so we made the announcement last Sunday.”

Rhonda could not believe what she was hearing. “And you’re now just telling me?”

“I didn’t know how to tell you without making you upset. I know I talked you into coming to the same college so I know it is pretty shitty for me to turn around and quit school and leave you there when you had other preferences.”

“You’re damn right, David! But that’s not my biggest concern right now because I’m cool with where I am
—I’m proud to be a Laker. What I am wondering is what this means for us as a couple. Things have been tough as is with you staying away weekends but now you are moving back here.” Rhonda had become fed up with David’s lack of concern for her feelings and she was at a point where she was no longer afraid of things ending; she was ready to cut her losses and move on but she was not prepared for what was coming next.

“Well, I have thought about that and I need to be honest with you. I have gotten reacqua
inted with someone at the church and I think that for this new chapter in my life that she may be able to live up better to the new saved me. Plus, you have a lot going on in your life-I don’t want to hold you back.”

Rhonda could not believe that he had the nerve
to say these things and be so smug about it. She thought she was content with things ending but she wasn’t expecting it to go down like this. This felt too much like betrayal to Rhonda and it was now all coming out.

“Oh really? Well, g
ood for you pastor,“ Rhonda said as she slowly got up with the intent of playing it cool but her emotions would not let that continue. “I wish your punk ass and your new pussy, oops I mean old pussy, a happy future together.” Rhonda kept a calm tone that even surprised her. She turned around and tried to remain calm in her walk because her heart was broken and the tears were fighting her to come falling out of her eyes but she refused to let David see them. David expected her to react in such an irrational manner like most of the females that he dealt with; this would have made him feel better about ending things but her calmness, although sprinkled with some colorful words, made him question whether or not he was making a big mistake. In addition David was quite turned on by this sexy, confident side of Rhonda that he was seeing coming from her now. He started to call out to her but by that point Rhonda was to her car starting it up and getting ready to leave his life, and he was not sure if that’s what he wanted after all.

Rhonda drove off with tears streaming down her face to the point where she could barely see. She pulled over in the next block to get herself together and decide where she was going. She couldn’t go to her parents’ house looking like this so she sat in the car for another 15 minutes before she decided to drive the 10 minutes to the apartment complex that Dana had recently moved into. After high school graduation, Dana had decided to stay in town to continue working her high school job and start community college. When Rhonda would come home during her visits she would usually connect with her. Rhonda saw Dana’s white car in the parking lot outside of her building so she parked and ran up the stairs leading to her apartment. Dana knocked on her friend’s door for about two minutes and was about to turn around and leave when she heard the door open. Dana was wrapped up in her bathrobe with an anxious look on her face. A male voice was shouting from the distance telling Dana to hurry up.
