Four months later.

After waking in the hospital four months ago with my arm in a sling, I couldn’t have been more thankful. I thought I was dead once the darkness had taken hold of me. When I opened my eyes to see Lauren’s head against our joined hands on my hospital bed, I cried. I was so happy to have survived the horror that took place, to wake and have Lauren beside me made it all the more real. Seeing her tear stained cheeks had me wanting to kiss her all better, but the pain kept me rooted to the bed.

Now, I’m fully healed and back in the States. We flew the day after I was released from the hospital, and I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy to be on States soil.

I head into the Church room and take a seat. We go over what’s happened recently. Nothing major to note so the meeting was short.

Strolling into the main room, I seek Lauren out in the bustle of people filling the area. I find her seated with Alexis near the glass doors leading to the backyard.

Alexis’ protruding belly is noticeable now, a definite shape of a bump taking place where her flat stomach used to be, and she’s glowing. A very proud Cobra is sitting beside her with his arm over the back of her chair, a loving look spread across his face as he gazes at her.

“Hey,” I say as I approach them, pulling out a chair beside Lauren who smiles up at me.

“Hey, handsome,” she says, craning her neck back for a kiss. I bend and place a chaste kiss on her mouth.

“So, when’s the baby due?”

The End

Lucii is your typical British girl, hates the sun and hibernates when summer arrives! She lives at home with 3 year old daughter, where they spend the day watching Frozen and playing playdoh.

She started off as a regular person, job, home life, health issues and a love of reading. After reading the Fifty shade phenomenon, she went on to social media to seek other authors writing the same or similar genres. She entered a world she didn’t know existed and went to open a successful blog.

Inspiring dreams took a back burner, while she learned the book community and met a bunch of amazing authors and readers alike.

A year later she decided to start writing, hoping against hopes that her friends and fellow readers will like what she brings to the table.
