“One day you’ll have our child in this belly, and I can’t wait to see him or her.” He placed his other hand on her belly and patted it, but it slowly moved down to cup her mound.

“But until then, think of all the fun we’re going to have getting there.” He growled, and a hard burning kiss landed on her lips. Total confusion swam through her body. Her mates were going to keep her on her toes, that was for sure.

Hoyt stepped back, “Chax isn’t the only one that has many surprises for you baby.” He grinned leaving the room.

“Okay you two are not playing fair!” Tabatha laughed curling up with Wol-itelm. She was tired. Really tired and ached. She tried to snuggle closer to Wol-itelm to get warm, because suddenly she was freezing.

*****

Sharp stinging pains moved up her arms. Someone had to be pinching her or something. “
Oh please not again, Wol-itelm, Chax, Hoyt?”
Tabatha called out her jaw now quivering she was so cold.

“I know you are awakesss….” Timble the snake man.

She opened her eyes glaring at the snake man, his hand to close to her pussy. “I thought Wol-itelm got rid of you, Timble!” she hissed and tried to move away from him.

The man glared back at her, his forked tongue coming out licking around his thin gray lips. “You know me, how? What are you talking about? Wol-itelm has no idea I’m even involved in all of this.” Timble glanced over to his right and that is when she noticed Chax’s mother and someone else she didn’t know. “You kept her too long in the subspaceeee. I told you, a human couldn’t stay more than three weeks in there.”

“What do you care? She should be dead, then we wouldn’t have to worry about this anymore,” the thing next to Lilith stated and Tabatha knew he was not speaking any human language, but how?

You have part of me in you. We’ve been so worried. Even I haven’t been able to find you. Hold on I’ll be there soon,”Wol-itelm stated.

“I don’t have a death wish, she is a god’s mate. You kill one of them, you’ll have them all after you. At least the ceremony has been put off.”

This could not be right. Tabatha wrinkled her nose. “How can you stand to be in the same room with her? She stinks,” she said right before shifting, wolf form, surprising them all. Tabitha jumped off the table onto the floor where she once more changed, but this time into her demon form.

“I still can’t believe you actually gave birth to Chax. It’s amazing since he looks and smells nothing like you” Tabatha sneered, getting Lilith all riled up, but watching the other two as she moved away from them.

“You said she would be to out of it to change!” Chax’s mother inched closer to her, but stopped. It seemed all three of them froze on the spot for a few seconds, but all at once Lilith once more spun, sending crap all over the place even catching her two friends, which had them screaming at her as the all disappeared from the room.

Tabatha couldn’t hold it in any longer, she bent over, throwing up. From what they had said, she’d lost close to a month. Had she been dreaming? Tabatha had no way of knowing. It was as if a cloud was inside her head. Everything was foggy.

“Tabatha!” Wol-itelm yelled as he appeared, and went to touch her, but she held up her hand as her stomach rebelled again.

In an instant, she was clean and a warm blanket wrapped around her. Wol-itelm lifted her gently into his arms. “We thought we lost you,” he whispered into her hair.

“Take me home,” she wrapped her arms around him and held on tight. “I need all of you Wol-itelm. I want to be held.” Tabatha cried burying her head into his shoulder.

“Shh, I’ve got you.” Wol-itelm said rubbing her back as the ground disappeared.

She lifted her head up and they were at Wol-itelm’s home, the planet he had chosen for them. “Why are we here? I want to go back home.”

Sitting on the bed, he held her tight. “There have been changes, Tabby. Right now it’s not safe to take you below. Chax is looking for Hoyt. He left over a week ago. Soon, we’ll all be here and we’ll explain. How did you know this was my home?” he asked looking down at her.

“I swear I was here. You brought me here when you found out that I could shift to the white dragon. Did Chax and Hoyt break up with me?” she asked.

“What?” Chax yelled as he and Hoyt appeared in the room. “We would never!”

“You have been missing since you stormed off to your room over the child.” Wol-itelm told her

Tabatha glanced up at her men and cried. Hoyt was a mess, he had bruises on his face, he’d cut off half his dark hair and Chax’s long red hair was shoulder length. “No, why?” she stood and at once they were kneeing before her their arms around her.

“We thought you were gone, forgive us for giving up,” Hoyt said rubbing his cheek against her side.

She sucked in her breath and stiffened. “Were there others? Please tell me you didn’t find someone else?” Both men stood and surrounded their hands ran up and down her arms.

“NO! No one could replace you. We had each other, even though there were rough spots, we never brought another woman into your bed. Only you could fill that spot. Now why are you so cold?” Hoyt asked rubbing her arms looking over at Wol-itelm.

“They had her in what is called subspace. A planet called
Tremzs
is involved with this since they are the only ones with this technology. Everything in her body was more or less frozen. No long term harm was done, but I am confused by your dreams. Usually in this form of hiatus you don’t dream at all. Tell us about who was with you? And what were you saying about a white dragon?” Wol-itelm said pulling her back into his lap.

“So it was a dream?” She snuggled up close to him.

“I see memories in your mind that are not real, not since you disappeared from your room.”

“I remember Timble, Chax’s mother, and some other stranger.” She shivered her stomach moved and Tabatha hopped she wasn’t going to be sick again.

“Tabatha, how do you know these names?” Hoyt asked and sat to the left while Chax sat on their right. She closed her eyes and told them the story of the baby, Chax’s mother, Timble and Hoyt and Chax turning away from her. By the time she was done. Her mouth was dry, but Tabatha had one thing she needed to know.

“Hoyt, my brother? Do you really believe he could have something to do with all of this?” By the shock look on his face, Tabatha knew she had hit it right. “How bad is it? Where is he? Is Melody okay?” she asked and slumped. “I feel so lost. Like I lost part of my life.”

“It was a dream, caused by subspace. Your connection to us gave you some knowledge, perhaps. But you need to eat first and you are thirsty.” Wol-itelm lifted her up in front of her his gaze went down her and stopped at her stomach. He placed his hand on her stomach and after a minute he hissed.

The ground under them shook, his roar had her jumping back, tripping and falling on her butt. “What?” she asked scared all of a sudden.

Both Chax and Hoyt rushed to her side, helping her up. “What’s wrong?” Chax asked.

“She carries a child,” Wol-itelm stood and started to pace. “I don’t know if it’s yours or…”

Her knees gave out and if Hoyt hadn’t caught her, she would have been on the ground. “But wouldn’t I know if they?”

Wol-itelm shook his head. “No, you were in subspace. They could have done anything to you.”

Chapter Eleven

Hoyt paced in front of the table while Tabatha pushed her food around. “There is a way to find out if the children you carry are ours?” Wol-itelm said sitting across from Tabatha staring at her.

Her head shut up. “But what happens if it’s not?” Tears clouded her eyes. “I don’t know if I could give it up.”

Hoyt moved to her and knelt down next to her. “Then don’t. No matter what, that child will be ours even if we didn’t father it.” He turned too glared at Wol-itelm and they both nodded.

“I need to know if they did something. I don’t want to have flashbacks or something, please if you could do anything.” She begged her words filled with tears.

“You eat and I’ll be right back,” Wol-itelm said and disappeared from the room.

Chax took his seat, looking at her, then at Hoyt. “Your brother is missing. When we got back from our meeting and getting Hoyt’s folks settled, you were gone. We knew you had been in our room, but there was nothing, except claw marks on the door.”

“Are your folks still at the house? I can’t believe I missed our first Christmas together. I wanted to do so much with you three. Maybe it’s best we just stay here. I’m so tired.” She took another bite, staring down at her food.

Tabatha got up and ran to the bathroom, holding her hand over her mouth. Following her, Chax moved in behind her and held her hair back as she lost everything she had just eaten. “We’re going to need saltines, ginger ale, and chicken noodle soup. Things that will settle her stomach.” He glanced back, knowing Wol-itelm was there.

“I’ve stocked the kitchen here and at the house. Your brothers are cleaning up the house on Earth and gathering the pack, along with Shane and Melody. Even though I don’t like the idea of leaving here, I know she needs to be around her friends.”

Tabatha flushed the toilet and took the cloth Chax handed her. “Is there any way to stop the sickness? This is one thing I can live without.” She leaned on him and he scooped her up, taking her out of the bathroom.

“I’m afraid there is nothing I can do about this, little one, but I did bring Therbelenth back with me. He will be able to tell us if the children inside you are ours.” Wol-itelm smiled down at her.

She didn’t even crack a smile, just nodded. It was as if half of Tabatha was here. There were shadows in her eyes Hoyt never wanted to see and, hopefully, soon they would make those disappear.

We’ll all help put that spark back in her eyes. I’ve asked for help since it seems another species has crossed over without asking and is taking what is ours. We have Cywdyn-qua joining us soon and she is furious to be woken up, which, I might add, is not a good thing for whoever crosses our path.”

Hoyt carried her into the master bedroom and sat down on the ottoman with her in his lap. The man Wol-itelm was talking about leaned against the wall and watched everything around him.

When Wol-itelm entered the room, the man moved towards him. “There is no need to worry. The children are your two mate’s and Cywdyn-qua will be at your Earth house tonight. I will stay till she arrives. No one will take your woman again.” He walked over to her and placed his hand on her head. A strange red light seemed to cover her body for a few seconds, then disappeared.

“No one will be able to move her anywhere unless you are with her, Wol-itelm, and if they try, I will know.” The scary man disappeared and Hoyt swore his form changed three different times before he was gone.

“If it was that simple, why didn’t you do it?” Hoyt asked watching as Furfur and Nicor came into the room.

“Because my powers are restricted right now, until I learn to control my temper,” Wol-itelm grumbled.

A small smile appeared on Tabatha’s face. “You have a temper? Who would have guessed.” She rubbed her hand over her stomach. “Babies”, she smiled. “You think the babies might have given me the dreams? Maybe in some way they were warning us?”

“I have no idea, but just wait till my father hears that he is going to be a grandfather.” Chax grinned from ear to ear.

“Wait what?” Nicor said from across the room, glancing at her, then at Chax.

“You two are going to be uncles in about 12 months,” Chax boasted and Tabatha groaned.

“Sorry to burst your bubble Nicor, seems your brother is stuck with me. And what the hell are you talking about 12 months?” she asked, swinging her legs around and sitting up.

“Why did you say that to Nicor?” Chax frowned and knelt before her.

“Because he doesn’t want us together, I think?” she frowned. “At least that is what I remember?”

Chax stood and she grabbed onto his arm. “Chax, it’s okay now. Everyone does not need to be happy with me. Just like some of Hoyt’s pack still have trouble with him being with me.”

“WHO?” he snapped. “If any of my pack has offended you, I’ll kill them.”

She rolled her eyes before standing and stretched. “Can we go back to Earth? I know I need to get used to this place but there are some things I need to explore. It’s time I go through mom and dad’s personal things now.”

Wol-itelm leaned down, kissing her lips softly. “Yes, but you go nowhere without one of us. You have to think of the babies now and since Chax didn’t answer you, I will. Since you are living Chax’s life time, your children will be as a demon would have a child, but do not worry, you won’t get big till about your ninth month.”

They heard flesh hitting flesh and Tabatha growled. “Damn it, Chax, he has a right to his opinion. Get off of your brother.” She started to go over there, but Hoyt wrapped his arm around her waist.

“You are not getting involved in that. We are ready,” Hoyt said, holding onto Tabatha as they were transported back to their home. Arriving in their bedroom, Hoyt released Tabatha as she scanned the room.

“I’m sorry it’s such a mess, but when you disappeared, we just couldn’t take it, or I couldn’t take it. Chax and Wol-itelm held me together,” he admitted.

“We all had a hard time with it. I should have been able to find you but I couldn’t. We hadn’t all joined together yet, but soon.” Wol-itelm said as Chax came into the room, sporting some cuts and bruises.

“Chax you should have just left it alone. He’s going to hate me more now,” she looked at the dress that had been meant for her joining ceremony.

“We’ll have the ceremony soon, I promise.” Chax said, following her gaze.

“I’m in no rush,” she turned towards the hallway door.

“Where are you going, Tabby?” Wol-itelm asked behind her. She turned, and smiled up at him.

“Just to the bathroom. I’ll be back, and maybe you can tell me something about yourself?” The last part of her question was a whisper because there was a part of her that was afraid he’d turn her down.
