Being so preoccupied with my morning pick up game and cup of coffee, the sudden warmth of Slim’s arms on mine surprise me, immediately sending chills up and down my spine. He wraps them around my middle, ending it with a kiss on my cheek.
More chills
.

“Mornin’, Sunshine,” he huskily says. Can this man be any more hot? My shivering continues.

My hand goes directly up behind his head, fluttering my fingers through his thick, soft hair. “Morning,” I whisper.

After laying a soft kiss upon my lips, he sits beside me at the island. His shirtless chest and spankin’ hot black briefs are more than slightly distracting me. He knows exactly how this is affecting me, the big jerk, yet I’ll just ignore him, and gather a cup of coffee for him instead.

“It was weird waking up after you. How come you’re up so early,” he asks.

Once the mug is filled to the brim with hot coffee, I place it in front of him. Sitting back next to him, I reply, “Oh…I had to return that call to Violet Ray.”

Before taking a drink of the hot liquid, he blows on the steam. “How’d that go?”

“Not good, unfortunately,” I sigh. “She seems pretty adamant on me being her manager. I’m afraid she’s not going to give up.”

“What the hell? Talk to June, and get her to shut the crazy porchpussy up.”

I almost snort while drinking my coffee.
Porchpussy
?
I have no idea what that even means.
“I will,” I chuckle. I’m done talking about Violet, so I pop in a few bagels into the toaster and drink my coffee next to my sexy rocker. Spending this quiet morning with Slim is going to be the highlight of my day, because once we’re on the road to LA, the adrenaline will be on full force. “We need to start getting ready,” I say, once the kitchen is cleaned from crumbs, and coffee drips.

Slim takes hold of my hand, and begins dragging me upstairs. “Not until I’ve done you first,” he wickedly smirks.

Even though we’re running on a tight schedule, no way will I object to his offer.

“Hey, glad I caught you before you guys left. Let’s talk for a minute,” June says.

Everyone arrived on time at the studio. The bus is parked outside, waiting for us to hit the road, but June pulls me aside to talk. Earlier, I texted her about Violet, and she wasn’t too thrilled about how it went down. She said she would call Violet and straighten this out for me. One can only hope.

Crossing my arms, I ask, “Is this about Violet?”

“Definitely. There’s something not right about her.”

“I was afraid of that,” I sigh.

“Yeah…when I tried to get a hold of her, some guy picked up. He sounded insanely hungover or something. When I finally got Violet on the line, she couldn’t even remember who I was. I had to say my name like three times before she recognized me.”

Crap. Not that I should be surprised by this information, but this whole situation just keeps getting worse by the minute. “Wow. She’s probably an addict of some sort.”

“That’s what I’m thinking, too,” June exclaims. “So, when I told her she needed to take her business elsewhere, and to not contact you again, she said something about having a daughter in the music industry, and how it only makes sense if she were to work with her. The whole conversation was literally the strangest I’ve ever had. She wasn’t in a state of thinking straight, probably so doped up or drunk she couldn’t even keep track of the days in the week. It was odd, Lyric.”
Huh
?
Daughter
?
Okay, yeah, talk about cray cray.
“Don’t worry about this,” she says, placing her hand on my shoulder. “She’s obviously sick and needs help. I advise you not to answer her calls. Just let her stuff go to voicemail, and I’ll take care of it, she may be a stalker.”

For some odd reason, I have a feeling Violet is not going to go away no matter how many times she is turned down. Maybe she’s after money, or a quick fix, but I’ll do what June tells me. I won’t return anymore of Violet’s calls. “Hopefully she won’t try to contact me again,” I say.

“Yeah, me too.”

After June and I finish talking, we head back over to the bus where the rest of the guys are. Faith and Harmony are at the hotel, but since Melody is working on her first album, she’s only here to see the band off.

Wayne, crazy with excitement, yells out, “Let’s get this show on the road! Woo!” clapping his hands in the process.

I stand near Slim, eyeing the newlyweds. “Excited much, Sexy?” Melody chuckles.

“You fucking know it, Sweetness, now give me your mouth.” Wayne quickly pulls Melody into his chest, and begins kissing her like a crazed horndog.

Turning myself away from the two love birds, I check out Slim instead. He suddenly makes me all kinds of hot and bothered. From just the cool, sexy way he wears his hair, turns me on. Today he’s rocking it out with a white t-shirt, dark blue jeans and pair of suspenders, strapped around his chest. The style he presents is geeky, yet tasty, flirtatious and adorable, all at the same time. He is too hot for words.
God, I am so lucky.

“Get a room, you fucking rabbits,” Danny growls out. He’s on a mission, and climbs into the bus, along with Lucky and Jason.

“We’ll finish this later…tonight,” Melody teases. I roll my eyes, because Wayne gets turned on again, and begins deepthroating her.
Good grief.

From the way Slim slaps Wayne from behind the head, I get the feeling he was thinking the same thing. “What the hell, bro!” Wayne yells.

“Quit sucking face, and get in the limo,” Slim remarks back.

I can’t contain my giggle. Melody, on the other hand, gives me a dirty look. She walks away slightly irritated, and follows June inside the studio. I’m not sure she likes me very much, but oh well. I can’t worry about that right now. It’s time to get out of here. Slim takes hold of my hand and leads me toward the bus.

Once everyone finally settles down, we leave the parking lot. Pretty quickly, thereafter, I get down to business and discuss today’s show, along with the upcoming tour I have planned for them.

The band gave an excellent show on
Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!
the other night. They really kicked butt, and sounded so good that Jimmy had them sit in on another segment of the show. After their time was up, my crazy hot stuff had to get a selfie with Jimmy, and a
Snapchat with him. It made Slim’s day, he couldn’t stop talking about all the tweets it brought. I was so proud of
JINKS
. They were sensational. I feel blessed I work with them and couldn’t be more satisfied with my job. We all went home feeling on top of the world. Exhausted, but extremely happy - so happy that Slim and I had a little celebration back at my house - sex, wine, food and finally sleep.

The next couple days have felt like a blur. The band went back to the studio, and I went back to arranging their tour. It was going to happen sooner than planned, but I believe
JINKS
is ready for this. From what I saw in LA, they need to get back on the road. The tour will be good for them. I just need to figure out who will play as their opening gig. This is the first tour they’ll be on all on their own. It’s both exciting and intimidating, yet I doubt they’ll have any problems. They are more than ready for their next journey.

During the blur of the last few days, Violet left several more messages. Each message she left, sounded more desperate than the next. I mean seriously, this woman is out of her mind, crazy. If she thinks I’m going to leave my family for her band, she’s got another thing coming. Getting her to back off, no matter how many threats June tells her, doesn’t seem to be taking an effect. Slim is ready to pounce Violet into the ground if she doesn’t go away. He’s very angry over this persistence. I don’t blame him. I’m angry too, and flippin’ irritated. For the most part, I’ve kept this quiet from the rest of the band. At first I thought it was best to tell Lucky about the situation, but Slim told me he’s been acting different lately, like he’s nervous about something. So, we decided not to mention it to him. With making a new album and filming two music videos next week, I don’t want to stir any extra anxiety. Not that they have anything to worry about, I just think this is a matter between me, June and Violet Ray.

By the time the weekend came around, I was ready to get my sexy on and celebrate Faith’s birthday, with none other than Slim, my main man. It’s been pretty obvious we’ve become “a thing,” ever since I returned home last week. Gosh, it feels longer than a week. I guess feeling so connected to Slim for so long, a week doesn’t really count. We’ve always had a deep connection, yet it’s gotten deeper as the week has passed.

I feel beautiful tonight. Picking out a hot dress for the party was just a quick call to my mother’s secret shopper. I didn’t have time to go shopping on my own, so I described what colors and style I preferred, and let the shopper have at it. She chose the perfect dress for me. It’s a purple
Valentino
dress, made with lace, bling, and sheer silk, that lays right above the knees and swoops off the shoulders like a peasant top. I love it. My hair is pinned off to the left side, showing off my bared shoulder, while the other half glides down over my right shoulder; I wanted simple, yet elegant. The silver stilettos I have on my feet match the shiny silver on my eyes, giving me a glamourous look. And for the final touch, a pink shimmery lipstick to coat the lips. I’d say, Cinderella needs to take a hike, because Lyric Newton looks damn hot, if I do say so myself.
I am such a dork
!

As always, Slim looked amazingly sexy in his dark black slacks, buttoned up black short sleeve
Dickies
shirt and black
Chucks
to match. He looks great in pretty much anything and everything - or nothing at all.

The party, of course, was at Montgomery Suites. The perfect location to celebrate Faith’s birthday. Harmony and Helene really outdid themselves. The event room is magnificently put together, with sparkly silver table covers, and chairs wrapped in silver tulie; the backs showing off a big bow. In the center of each table consists of different colored roses and a candle. Silver balloons are hung all around the room, with low lighting to give it a sexy yet playful feeling. I feel like this is more of a wedding celebration than a birthday party. What a grand setting it turned out to be.

JINKS
is going to be playing a few numbers, because what’s a party without everyone’s favorite band? I can’t wait to see Slim perform. Every time he gets up on that stage something clicks. He’s like a kid, surrounded by his favorite superheros. There’s an energy, excitement that radiates all around him - like a glow of light. Music is his life, and you can see it with every performance.

The second you enter the event room, you are surrounded by guests mingling, drinking and dancing. There’s a DJ playing up on the stage, having a blast. Slim had to leave my side for a little bit to have a meeting with the guys. I see him in the corner by the stage, along with Gary. They’re huddled around Lucky for some reason. I wonder what’s up? He looks a bit shaken up or something. Totally out of his norm. He’s one of the most laid back guys in the band, it’s unusual to see him this way. Maybe I should go see what’s going on? But before I get the chance, Harmony stops me to talk. She looks radiant tonight, with her dark hair curled around her shoulders like a scarf, and the very short pink strapless dress she’s wearing, it accentuates her body beautifully.

After a few minutes of complimenting Harmony’s excellent decorating, we dive into the tales of my family. Talking about them is inevitable, especially Brock. “So, how is he?” Harmony asks.

I shrug, “To be honest, I have no idea. I guess he’s been lying low since that video.”

“Probably a smart thing to do.”

“I agree,” I sigh. Harmony can sense I have no desire speaking about my brother any longer. He’s not my hot topic of discussion.

Instead, we start talking about my favorite person - Slim. “You guys make the perfect couple. I am really quite giddy about how you two decided to give in to your attraction,” she giggles.

I can feel myself starting to blush. Anything that has to do with Slim causes me to get butterflies in my belly. Containing any kind of schoolgirl crush giggling is pretty hard to do when Harmony influences the reaction. I feel like I am sixteen all over again, talking about the football jock who put the moves on me. Having a connection with another woman, who I can actually call a friend, feels so good.

Gazing over at Slim in that dark corner, I smile. “Slim is perfect for me. He completes me.”
Oops, that just slipped out.
Never have I actually formed the words, “he completes me,” before. It’s true though. Slim is everything to me, and I hope he feels the same about me.

“Hey you two!” Melody shouts over the music. She comes walking toward us, swaying her hips back and forth in her slinky, strapless, skin tight - barely anything there - black dress. It’s so high up her thighs, I can’t imagine why it’s called a dress. Her boobs are anything but small, I don’t see how she can keep them hidden without them popping out for a show and tell. She looks like
Wonder Woman
going clubbing; I can see heads turning her way. She does draw attention, and I believe she loves it. No wonder Wayne has a hard time keeping his hands off her, she’s undoubtedly gorgeous, and very sexy.
